Isrotel Royal Garden Hotel

This is a great hotel for families, but if you're on your own or travgelling just with a partner, make sure you avoid school holidays or you will regret it! The hotel is pretty new and very well maintained. Rooms are effectively apartments and the whole complex is centred around an amazing series of pools and slides, the main one of which is a beach. The hotel is nice for families with young children, but....I personally didn't enjoy the pool area with sand, even though it's made for yound children and babies, I had to wonder how the beach area and pool was cleaned with all this sand. The sand really seemed to be dirty. Also, at the time that we went in May 07, there was a huge mosquito problem at this hotel in particular. Good location on the "north beach" and just a short walk across the road from the beach and promenade. Walking distance to everything. Decent coffee shop, nice mini-market. In room kitchenette makes snacking easy. Nicely appointed rooms that are not fancy, but well appointed and in good condition. Pool area is lovely. Staff was friendly and attentive.

When thinking Eilat, imagine a smaller version of Las Vegas on the sea - a beautiful sea.. oh, and there is no gambling. we afamily of 5, stayed at the royal garden elat from 26 october to 27 october in a family suit. the suit is new and comfortable, 3 tv , 2 bathrooms and nice kitchenette. the kids loved the pool and the water slide. the staff where very polite . the big problem was that in that saturday the police made curfew in the area due sport ocation and the manager and the hotel staff did not informe us about it and we enforced to stay another day at the hotel instead of driving to the beaches, and other places. second problem was the annoying... more

I stayed with my family (wife + 3 kids 16-13-8) in one of the poolside rooms in this all suite hotel. We took a 2 bedroom suite it was exatly the right size. A larger family would not fit. The room that we took has a private garden area that leads out to the pools.Wow what great pools and water slide. We spent most of our 4 days in the pools. Stayed there during the first week in June. This was our third time in the hotel. Firstly there are plus points such as the buffet restaurant, which we ate one night, which was delicious and our kids loved the pool area although with smaller kids it is difficult to keep an eye on them. However the hotel is looking old. Our room was dirty and never cleaned properly, the windows were filthy and the birds mess on the window sill was disgusting. The Royal Garden Hotel has suites with a kitchenette, living room and balcony. We were lucking enough to stay in a suite. It was nice aftering eating out some days in a row to be able to cook a meal. There is a convienent store you can walk to to buy just about everything. Also the hotel itself had a wonderful pool area. We stayed at the Royal Gardens last year with our kids aged 11-2 . The Hotel is self catering with a more than adequate kitchenette but with its own resurants on site. It has its own bakery which is great value for money and very good quality. The pool area is amazing. The hotel has three pools . One with waterfalls and caves which the kids loved. This Isrotel hotel is classified as self catering but in effect its a hotel, with 1 and 2 bedroom suites each with its own kitchenette. Theres no room service or porter service for luggage but these are minor inconvenieces which are lessened by the Mini-market selling any essentials foods etc. The hotel has what must be the best swimming pool in Eilat, with its own man-made beach on one side of the pool.
