Isrotel Agamin Hotel

We spent the first four nights of our honeymoon in Eilat, at the Agamim. It is clean and modern, has a great pool and impressive breakfast. Get a poolside room (but be prepared to be able to hear your neighbors on their adjoining patio). Also, when in Eilat, make sure to spend some time checking out the Negev.

It's our favorite hotel in Eilat. We've been twice and plan on going again this year. When booking a room, ask for a room on the water. That way you'll have a private deck with deck chairs. You can go down from the deck to to estuaries coming out of the pool or swim to the pool itself. At night we sat on swinging chairs next to the pool, looked at the pool and the palm trees and said "This must be what heaven is like..." The photos on the hotel website need to be updated because they do not do the hotel justice at all! From the moment you enter the swany lobby you really feel the vacation, at ease atmosphere. I would have to say that one of the best parts of the resort was the breakfasts they offered in the morning (incl. in room fee). Being a first timer in Israel I was unaware what their "continental breakfast" meant in comparison with the usual US hotel breakfasts. I hated to rate this hotel "average" because it is anything but average. First the positives: it is a beautiful hotel with a fantastic breakfast. Our room, which was "on the water" was clean and modern with pleasant furnishings and a wonderful deck right on the stream. Breakfast is indeed plentiful and delicious. The negatives: The check in process was very poor and confusing. We drove all the way from the Ben Gurion airport through the desert to arrive at the hotel exausted. We have just returned from three days at the Agamim hotel in Eilat. On first impressions, the hotel seemed great with a large pool and a unique and pretty stream running around the pool to the ground floor rooms. We took a room "on the water" as although it was more expensive, the idea of going straight into the pool from the terrace seemed so appealing. We have just returned from a week at the Agamim and if you have an aversion to noisy, biblically-themed, high rise hotels then this one's for you. This oasis in the desert is smaller than most of the well known Eilat hotels and much, much quieter (except for weekends). A couple of blocks back from the beach, the Agamim prides itself on offering a 'chilled-out' experience. Great hotel - rooms basic but clean and modern, pool area exceptional, food excellent, service great. It's not by the beach but it's only a 5 minute walk away. Best thing of all is that there's no 'entertainment' by the pool or in the hotel so you are left alone to relax!

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the Isrotel Agamim Hotel in Eilat, where we had a gloriously relaxing time. The hotel is 3 stories tall, built around a courtyard paradise filled with palm trees, flowers, a pool and a river going around the outer rim of the courtyard (the river connects into the pool on both sides). If anyone had told me before hand that the hotel would be overun with families I might not have booked it! However, I have to say that it really wasn't a problem at all. I don't really like kids but not once did I feel that it caused an issue. I found it easy to find a nice spot in the grounds and all the kids were very well behaved (it seemed to be primarily Israeli families and they are very family orientated). We spent 5 nights at the Agamim in Mid August and it was wonderful. They are not at the beach but this is not a problem at all. You walk 10-15 minutes, depending on your speed and the heat, and you are at the beach or the shopping centre. Guests may also use the beach of Agamim's big sister hotel, the Royal Beach. It is rather an advantage that they are not in the center because it is a relaxing place even if almost fully booked.
