FIRST TIME AT TONGA ( 2 adults & 2 kids 13 & 8 year old) We read all the reviews before we came!! But were impressed as the rating is 3 star and we got more than we paid for. Ok the lifts are small but waiting time is no more than 5-10 mins, we stayed on the 4 floor, our room was small but clean and tidy and serviced daily with new linen and towels. Restaurant and bars very clean, food plentiful and there is a variety of choice and will always find some thing to your liking. I thought the service staff were all helpful and courteous, again the picnic box is a good idea if going out for the day(book the day before at reception) the bars do have a bit of waiting time after 8pm around 10 mins but were aloud 4 drinks per person until 11pm . There are plenty of Games and activities you can do during the day from 10am onwards for both adults and kids from shooting, archery, tennis, football, aerobics, french bowls, volley ball, and lots of kids activities(mini club). The pools are clean and tidy, but can be busy, can't have it always as the hotel caters for 1400 people. Our holiday was made extra special buy the entertainment staff as they worked long and hard with a smile on there faces running the mini club arranging the games during the day, excursions, and kiddie discos at night then main entertainment at 9pm - 11pm. Tip don't be frightened to get involved in the sketches etc as the holiday went on the we relaxed and enjoyed ourselves the kids & us loved all the entertainers:- Yaro, Alex, Aleshia, Anna, Nouf & Tasha, the kids learned scuba diving, and were involved in the Oliver Twist show & sketch shows. The resort of Can pica fort is small and beautiful with the beach 10 min walk with lots of bars to choose from, We will be recommending Tonga to our friends and family as if the kids are kept busy and happy its all we could ask for. Thanks xx

I loved the hotel and I would deffinatley go again. I went with my boyfriend on 2nd July for a week all inclusive, im 19 and hes 21 and both of us were abit worried on what we were going to expect, as we had read quite alot of negative reviews before we went, but what can i say people who vote this hotel under a 6 are just plain fussy. Allthough we didnt have a rep when we arrived we managed fine without one as the people at reception are very friendly and speak fairly good english. They was also man who worked for thomas cook working there opposite reception who always gave help about excursions etc. The rooms are fairly small i must admit, but who cares, its only to sleep in and i must admit i thought the cleaners could have did abit more cleaning in the toilet as it got quite smelly due to the end of the holiday. I also read people complaining about lifts, they is 4 lifts in total, 3 of them go to floors 6-14 and one goes from floor 0-5. The lifts are quite small and i guess we were quite lucky due to being on floor 5 as no-one seemed to go in that lift. The showers in the rooms are very powerful aswell hwich is a bonus. I must say the food was fantastic, on a morning they had a choice either of a fried breakfast, cerial, bread etc and dinner and tea were fairly much the same but they always ensured they changed at least some of the foods, including the meats and stuff. Its also great because if you are going on a day trip and you dont want to spend any money on food, then all you need to do is order a picnic at reception the day before, this saves you waisting your money, I thought this was a fantastic idea, even though the food was very basic, but was still very tasty. The pools were also very nice and clean, however in some parts of the pool, it did seem abit smelly, so we just avoided that area. They is a great snackbar which serves great pizzas, chips, toasties, this means not needing to get changed to go into the main restraunt for dinner. The entertainers in the hotel were great, however some days were better than others and i must say, they are great dancers and they are very funny. Its good that they try to involves the audience as much as possible. Bingo was also great, they did this every night at 9:15 and the full house winner got the tonga money, I have no idea how much they won though, sadly me and my boyfriend didnt win haha. The childrens entertainment was great, started at half 8 until about 9, and the entertainers always got the children dancing away and following the actions to the songs. One thing which did annoy me was the bar service, ok yeah they is alot of people in the hotel, but they could have opened the whole bar instead of just a 3rd of it. Dont get me wrong, the bar staff were fantastic and tried their hardest. but they should emloy more staff as its not fair. Sometimes it took upto 20 minutes to get served. You are supposed to be only allowed 2 drinks per person, but they let everyone get 4 drinks which is a bonus. The cocktails are to die for. It starts at 7, they give you small plastic cups to start with and at about 8:00 they give you big glasses, however be warned they can make the drinks to strong at times so its best to tell them to stop. Overall a lovely hotel, great for families, friends, young or older couples.
Can Picafort itself is lovely, the beach is gorgeous, however be careful, people in shops try to make you buy things and be quite annoying them stopping you at like every shop. Me and my boyfriend loved Trotters on the beach which is a good old english place on the sea front, the burgers in there are to die for lol they is plenty of shops their to have a browse in, even though ost shops sell the same things. Me and my boyfriend also went in the nightclub Skau, which is a nice place, you payed 7 euros to get in and got 2 free drinks, each drink is roughly like 7 euros in there so quite expensive so me and my boyfriend used to just settle on them 2 drinks. We also went moes bar, which has karaoke which i very much enjoyed.
Heres a tip, go to Marine land and Aqua land in Magaluff for 35 euros per trip which includes your bus ride and ticket in, they were great, we very much enjoyed them both.
Overall fantastic holiday, wish i was still there now.

We have just returned from 3 nights all inclusive to Club Tonga with a hen party of 10, ages ranging from 16-71. We had a fabulous time, the hotel is within 10 minutes walk of the beach and main bar/restaurant area.
There is plenty of room in the hotel grounds for sunbathing (though not always sufficient sunbeds - which is always the case in any accommodation) and there are 2 decent sized swimming pools. The previous reviews about queing for the lifts and the bar are correct, if we had been here for longer than 3 nights, the queing for drinks would have irritated us - as for the lift - we just walked! Our 71 year old managed to walk up to the fourth floor several times a day - some people are just too lazy and that explains the nation's obesity problem!!!
Anyway, the rooms were large enough for three (in our case) and they were clean, the food was nice (if a bit repetative), the pool area was clean, plenty of activities for the kids and anyone looking for a no frills break in the sun wouldn't go far wrong with club tonga!

Myself, husband and two kids, aged 14 and11 have just returned from hotel tonga. We had read the reviews about the hotel and this had left us slightly worried,
Yes the hotel is tall we were on the 9th floor, but running up the steps kept us fit if there was a queque but this wasnt all the time.Rooms are lovely and clean and we were lucky and had an end room so it was spacious. The balcony was scarily high but only a problem if you have really young kids to worry about, and we didnt spend to much time in the rooms as can picafort is lovely,so who wants to be in their rooms?
The dining room is lovely and also the food, and when the hotel staff eat there you then know it must be clean behind the scenes!
The bar staff were ok apart from a couple who could'nt even crack a smile but thats all.You will have a lovely time, just remember some people have to moan and after all when you are on holiday a couple of grumpy staff is'nt a problem.
Go snorkeling early before the beach fills it's gorgeous!

After reading the reviews that were put by some people we were a bit iffy about going. My boyfriend and I are both in our twentys, and we loved club tonga and the c'an picafort resort. The hotel was lovely very clean and staff all friendly. The room was a bit on the small side but we only used it for sleeping in any way so was no bother. There was 2 plugs in the room which we managed with, music, hairdryer and straightners can easily be managed in the 2 plugs. The entertainment staff at the hotel are brilliant, we took part in the cocktail game every afternoon at half 12 and it was brilliant even though we never won.lol. The entertainment was what you made of it, i took part in Miss Election which was a laugh, if your on holiday you want to make it good and its defienatly something to remember.
The pool was very clean, cleaned every morning. The sun loungers are hard to get a hold of if your not down 8ish to put your towels done, which my boyfriend always was. We were down to the pool 9ish most mornings and always got the same spot beside the pool with the fountain. The food is the same most days and is lovely, ALL nationalities are catered for. The snack bar is also very good for burgers, hotdogs, toasties and chips. The bar ques were quite long but with the capacity that club tonga holds you cant blame the bar staff. We had no problem to get drinks for the ten days we were there, you just have to be pateint. The resort itself is beautiful and club tonga is only a ten minute walk away from the beach. Theres everything down at the beach from restarants, bars, enterainment and shops. We went to Moes bar alot after the entertainment finished at the hotel for karoke, staff there are very friendly. Trotters bar down the beach is owned by the same guy, very nice cocktails.
Overall this holiday was brilliant and would definatly go back to the resort and the hotel!!!

Just back from this hotel (this morning). I also read reviews before going so had some misgivings, but they were wasted as the hotel more than lived up to its 3 stars. The food was varied but plenty of choice. My family (offspring are 14, 15 and 22 yrs old) all found something to eat every day. I found the staff friendly and helpful, but they wouldn't take any nonsense from those who tried to 'do it their way at the expense of others'.
Rooms were clean and the maid even brought in a sunburn remedy for my 15-year-old. She didn't speak English and our Spanish was laughable, but we still managed to communicate.
As for the resort, this is suitable for young families or those just wanting to chill out as there is very little on offer. Go karts and two night clubs and a fabulous but crowded beach and that's yer lot.
I wouldn't go back, but that's the resort, not the hotel.

Just Home Spent 8 nights not a bad expierence but certainly not the best.
Lucky to have a room on the 3rd floor the ques were massive all day for the lifts .
The staff are very pleasent and helpful hotel is well looked after clean and towels sheets changed every day if needed .
Entertainment team work very hard to please but repeat everything in five languages so it gets a little boring after a while but the kids seem to like the shows.
Food at the hotel was fine a little repetitive but well cooked no worries in that department.
BEWARE if you want a drink during the whole of your stay you will have to Que can be up to 30 mins in the evenings (not Kidding) the bar staff are disgustingly ignorant unhelpful and down right rude which goes aginst the hard working guys at reception.
Also you will need to get up around 6am if you want a sun bed this is the worst i have ever experienced for putting out the towels if you dont there is a large grassy area to sit but full of stones and rocks .
complex has 3 tennis courts , football pitch, basketball nets , crazy pool, table tennis , gaming machines so enough to keep all happy there is a small mini market on site can be expensive tho.
Personally we left the complex every night after the first three and headed to mos bar a few mins walk away has xboxes for the kids and you can have a quiet beer or coffee with out all the hassle .
If your planning to go to tonga be sure you read the reviews they tell the truth it can be good and bad.

Just got back from a week in club tonga, c'an picafort. In general the holiday was ok, could have been better but could have been worse. We were on the first floor and we felt very lucky walkin past the massive que's for the lifts everyday. The maid on our floor wasn't very good, Some days she didn't come and we had to steel toilet roll from the toilets in reception because she only gave us one to last a week! We left out towls in the bath everyday (thinking we would get new ones) but she would just get them out the bath and hang them back up! After speaking to some other people it seems that the other maids were great. We must have just landed on a lazy one. And it was very difficult to sleep, There was no air con just a noisy fan. It was about 30 degrees at night and 40 through the day.
The breakfast and evening food in the resturant wasn't very nice, I had chips and salad for the whole week cos everything else looked awful. We didn't bother getting up for breakfast, we would just wait for the snack bar to open at 12 and get hot dogs, pizza and burgers.
The que's for the drinks through the day went down really fast. Sometimes no ques at all. And there is no 2 drinks per person limit. I got 4 drinks everytime i went to the bar. But as soon as it gets to about half 8 the que's were massive so we didn't bother queing. We ended up going to this little bar over the road from the hotel called club europa every night. ( over the road from the lilo shop) Games of pool only one euro in there (2 euro everywhere else) and drinks were cheap and we had the place to ourselves most nights. The couple who own it are lovely too. 2 budwisers for 4 euro is cheap. the bars on the sea front drinks start from 4 euro each.
The beach was about a 5-10 min walk and it was gorgeous, we found that if you walk down the beach for about 15 min there is no one, you get your own part of the beach and sea to yourself. Although we did see a few old naked sunbathers ha ha O and make sure you have a pea in the hotel as the is only 1 toilet on the entire beach and its one of those porter cabin loos. And you cant sunbathe in peace, people coming round asking if you want to buy sunglasses, watches, silver, gold. it gets annoying but just say no and they walk off.
We went to alcudia one day for a change of scenery, It was about 2.90 for 2 adults and took about 20 min. Dont expect to get a seat though. They just cram on as many people as they can. The buses are every 15 min but they get full quick and might end up just driving by. probably best going between half eleven and half 1
There were a lot of germans not only in the hotel but the entire resort. I would say 75% of the people were german. Lots of hairy armpits!
But what you got to think is what do you expect for the price you pay. Overall it was good. Think next time would rather go to alcudia where there are more english people.

today i came back from club tonga, and i have to say i had a fantastic time! i went with my friend and my parents we stayed in seperate rooms but they were next door 2 each other!
i read some of the reveiws on here befor goin and i was dredding it! but everything was brilliant the staff could have smiled a bit more but doing what they do everyday all day i wouldnt be too happy neither!!! but as the nights wen on they did start recognising you and talkin more! some were even playin around putting ice cubes down each others t-shirts! by the way the ques were long but about 5 bar staff helepd it go down in about 5-10 mins MAX
i also read about the lifts and how people say they had 20 minutes waits! well i was on floor 7 and we once walked up the stairs and we nearly kiled ourselves WE WER JIGGERED! haha! so we decided to giive the lifs a chance! we waited for the longest 5 minutes! there are 4 lifts ally fully functional 1 stopped between floors 1-5 and the other 3 stopped at floors 6-14
Food - I though the breakfast was brilliant there was something for eyerone there was Quasonts, and cake things, 5 types of cereal, yoghurts fresh fruit, bacon, fried scrambled or hard boiled eggs, sausages (different kinds each day) fresh bread rolls and toast. the dinners were good with loads of salad stuff ALL fresh pasta soup fresh bread rolls lots of fruit an various desserts Tea was pretty much the same but with more meat things! (turkey chicken beef lamb)
entertainment i think was good but the humour was aimd more for germans! everyday at 8:30 they had a kids disco and alll the brits joined in at 9:15 they did bingo most people joined in and at 10:00 the main entertainment was on! sometimes i think it was funny because it was lame! but they worked really hard on it and it showed so we went along with it!!
the beach is a 5-10 minute walk away from club tonga and on the way there are loads of bars cafes shops galllore! so if you get thirsty you dont suffer!
all in all the holiday was brilliant im hoping to go back later in the year definatly recommended for families as the entertainers a great with kids! did not see 1 cockroach or mosquitos or any nasty little flying things!!
so that was an added bonus
hope you have as much fun as i did!

Having read the reviews on various web sites prior to going i was a bit aprehensive but now i have returned i can safely say that anybody with the same aprehensions do not need to worry.
We had a wonderfull two-weeks all inclusive. with plenty of food, drink and things to do all day every day. The restaurant food was a little short on variety sometimes but overall good with hot and cold food available every night. There is a snack bar open every day from 10.00 - 17.30. There was usually a small queue for the bar but waiting for 5 minutes was no great problem and gave you time to speak with other holiday makers. The rooms were clean, tidy and good sizes. All the staff were friendly and the entertainment staff worked their socks off all day and night.
The resort of Can Picafort was very good with a lovely golden beach and plenty of shops and bars within a 5-10 minute walk of the hotel. Mo's bar is a good English bar two minutes from the hotel where they have parrot and reptile shows for the kids and kareoke every night. The Ocean bar on the sea front had a good tribute act everynight.
If i were to complain about anything and its only a small moan, it was the evening hotel entertainment. Although the entertainment staff work hard every night it became a bit repeatative watching them dancing and miming to backing tracks every night. With the amount of clients staying in the hotel every week you would think that they could afford to get outside entertainment in, even if only two or three times a week.
Overall a good holiday for a very reasonable price.
