Just got back after 10 nights holiday so here goes -
After the initial shock of the size of the Hotel we were pleasently surprised by the reception area which was good. However we had the first floor room opposite the stairs and lifts hence every night was something similar to a mental hospital with all the screaming and constant noise, our view was the roof - not good.
The room was cleaned everyday so no complaints there
The nightime entertainment was an absolute joke I would have expected something more than the usual reps trying their best(but failing miserably).
The two drinks rule is crazy especially with the size of the cups also the bar staff we are bit miserable.
The restaurant was okay and the quality of the food was good enough, it was a bit of a scrum at times though.
Our Thomas Cook rep was hardly seen so was disapointed with this as well.
Overall we wouldnt go back due to the poor nightime entertainment, drinks rule, poor Thomas Cook rep and the nightime noise - Shame as it could be a lot more and Can Picafort is a lovely place.

All i can say about this hotal was it was clean. If you like PORK you would be ok it was pork every day for dinner and tea and jelly and ice cream for pudding. The bar was very silly the queue was all way about a 10 min wait and you could only get 2 drink. I also payed full price for my 1 year old and there would not even give him drink that he can drink there said there have water but it was there tap water. The pool was very cold and really slippery title around the child pool nobody could walk on it there was no life guards or an one watch the pools at an time. The Staff was very rude and i dont think there know how to smile. The entament was very poor and nobody enjoyed it it was all for germans.
Will not be useing this hotal again worse holiday i have had.

Have just returned from the Club Tonga and have to say that although we enjoyed our break the hotel and facilities were not up to a 3 star rating.
The food was by far the best bit about the hotal although more staff are needed in the dining area as there are always dirty tables to be cleaned.
The 2 drinks policy is a joke as the cups are very small and there are always people waiting at the bar and the barmen are very miserable and could do with a happy pill.
The entertainment people work very hard but surely a hotel of this size could bring in external entertainment for at least a couple of nights per week. All the shows are join in and for the children this is good but for adults......... i dont think so.
The childrens clubs and day time activities are very good and the hotel could be a great place if they only tried to vary the entertainment, employed more staff and got away from the ridcioulous two drinks policy, i am afraid we will not be returning to the Club Tonga

We have recently returned from a loveley week in Club Tonga. We have two kids age 3 and 5 and after reading other reviews were very concerned but were soon put at ease ehen we arrived. The hotel entertainment was very good and the staff work extremely long hours/days and really put time and effort in. The hotel doesnt look very pretty on arrival but once inside we soon saw it was clean and well maintained. The food was average for all inclusive food but certainly cudn't compain as everyone was catered for. The only complaint I had was THE LIFTS! My advice would be dont use them unless you have too! We were stuck for gud 20 mins which was quite daungting especially as ringing the bell inside DID NOT attract attention of any staff it was down to some kind sole hearing us on a floor that we were kindly rescused!!!! Would definately go back to this hotel!!!!

We have just got back from the club tonga, there was 9 of us 6 adults and 3 children. It was a really nice hotel one of the downfalls was we where on the 13th floor with a 2 year old so didn't like her going on the balcony obviously, and the lifts sometimes you have a wait but its never to long considering there is only 4 lifts (some people just like to complain).
The food if you are really picky you might need to go out every now and then but there are some really nice pubs round and about that do plenty of english food.
The entertainment was ok i mean they really try there best but would of been good if there had been a couple of groups on or some outside entertainment, the team work really hard and entertain you all day.
Only 2 drinks at a time at the bar, but we got a family wrist band so where allowed 4 drinks at a time.
All in all it was a really good holiday, but don't think i would return purely cause of the night time entertainment found it a bit bland, but the kids disco was really good but only on for 1/2 hour so kids were a bit bored after that

  • Advice: Can picafort is a lovely place to visit we have ben twice now and is very close to alcudia.

Well where do i start, i know.. Entertainment.. Jarl, alex, pino, alissia, anna, nathalie, stephanie, where fantastic, worked really hard and made our stay there seem more fantastic, wish i could take them with me on every holiday i go on..shows were brill, couldnt have asked for better mini club mini club mini club was excellent for the little ones, also adult day time activities were a scream.. Hotel was not bad, cleanliness was excellent, maids always on top off things..
rooms on small side thou, 2 adults and 2 children in a room with 4 beds .. Not good.. Balcony, was unsteady, so tend not to left 5yr old out on it, lifts an issue, but easily forgotten about, dinning hall, was clean, but food a bit repetitive, same soup on for about 8 nights.. Not good, and also noticed wot wasnt eaten the night before , was mixed in with something else the next night.. Different meat every night, beef was scrummy..
bar area.. 2 drink per person is not a major issue as ques easily went down, if ya had right bar tender on..
cleanliness of pools and areas were brilliant, so no probs there, sunbeds not an issue either, just get up for 8 and head down to pool..
your holiday is wot ya make it, and you get wot ya pay for..
all thats left to say is a great big thank-you to the entertainment staff for making it a holiday to remember..

We have just got back from Club Tonga (6 adults & 5 children) and we had a fantastic time & can't understand the bad reviews. We are already talking about going back next year!! Food was amazing & very clean, we only had to queue for at the most 3 minutes for a drink, staff where very friendly & pool facilities again, were fanatasic. There were activities in the day/evening for both the adults & the children (i even got dragged on stage a few times & joined in on the sketch night & got my bum smacked in the desert scene!!) I can't speak highly enough of the entertainment team, they were so friendly & treated us all so well & got us all involved, they work so very hard!! Big Thankyou to Jarl & the team !!! although ive still got a handprint on my backside!! I would highly reccommend this hotel for any families, 10 out of 10 for me. I will be honest though, there was a downside, the lifts!! There are 4 lifts for over 1000 rooms, we were quite lucky as we were on the 5th floor but a fanily we were with where on the 12th floor & sometimes waited for upto ten mins for a lift..... Anyway have fun if you go as we did !!!

i was a wee bit iffy when i read the reviews about this hotel, there were six of us me my husband two daughters aged 14 & 10 my mother-inlaw & father-inlaw. when we arrived my mind was put at ease the staff were very friendly the rooms were basic but they were only for putting our heads down at night, they were always cleaned everyday as was the hotel, the food was ok we like it but the kids sometimes did not. the entertainers well what can i say about them the really made the holiday the were absolutely brilliant from start to finish they keep the hotel guests entertained from 10am to midnight everyday they always had something going on you did not need to leave the hotel the shows at night were very good my youngest daughter was in two of them. the day we were coming home my two daughters cried because they had made so many new friends & didnt want to leave them. my oldest daughter wanted to go back as soon as we got home. the only downside i have about this hotel was the lifts you only have 4 lifts for 14 floors sometimes you had to wait a while but i would recommend this hotel to families
