We arrived at Hotel Victoria Borovets on a Saturday night after a long flight, so bear in mind that my impressions were tempered by my less-than-cheerful-mood at the time. The Operator didn't provide any food on the plane or in the bus, which had to wait for another flight... more

My wife and I stayed here for one week in January 2012. Not the best hotel we have stayed in, but certainly not the worst. We are seasoned travellers and travel mostly in our campervan, so we are not looking for, or used to, luxury. Our room was quite small, tired and not... more

Myself and my Partner went to Borovets in February and had a fab time. We loved everything about the resort and the Hotel (Victoria). The rep was lovely and we had a welcome meeting the morning we arrived which I would personally reccomend, they did some trips for pennies!... more

Just spent my first ever week skiing in Borovets with my husband, staying at the Hotel Victoria, and had a fantastic time all round. We chose the hotel based on price (cheap - even in half term) and a mention that they cater for vegetarians. The hotel was clean, warm,... more

My boyfriend and I stayed in The Victoria Hotel beginning of March. The hotel was described as 600 meters from the lifts, but this wasn't exactly true but there are always taxis waiting, if you want to pay, even though there is suppose to be a shuttle bus. The free... more

Have just returned from a week at the hotel Victoria in Borovets. The hotel, an Austrian chalet type building, is a small 14 roomed hotel, situated about a ten minute walk from the resort centre, in a pine forest. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very... more

Strange experience
2 years in arrow in this hotel and the same bad experience when it comes to a large bill at the restaurant... The manager becomes agressive when it comes to collect the money in cash only!!!! even if the hotel takes credit card... Trying to understand the charge mentioned on the bill written in Bulgarian, the manager don t even try to understand the customer and finish by yelling... No a really good way to behave... When it comes to a problem, the staff pretend not to speak english but they all do!!! Come on, we are in a 3 star... more
Ignore the ski snobs, Borovets is a decent resort!
I have just returned from a week of skiing in Borovets and had a fantastic time. I had read the many reviews on tripadvisor and was not expecting the holiday to be great!! I found the hotel accommodation to be comfortable, but if i had one criticism about the hotel it would be the food!! BUT, the food in the resort is very good and frankly if you want to eat at your hotel every night then head to an all inclusive resort in the Caribbean! We went to a number of restaurants (Katy's, Blue and a pizza restaurant next to the Harp bar) and would... more
brilliant location!
me and a group of 5 friends stayed here for a week from the 23/2/08. although alot of the hotel staff dont talk aloy of english, they try to help you with what you ask of them. the rooms were clenaned every day and we had freash towels every day to. the pool in the spa is cold but the jacuzzi makes up for it although they do charge 10 lev for 20 minutes, but after a hard day on the slope its worht it. the issh bar is a good place to wind down or for a start of the night, bit pricer then other pubs in the resort but not to bad. the location... more
great hotel, bad stomachs from the food.
Great Hotel , great bedrooms, staff ect. Worst food ever. Simple as that. But to be honest the food is so cheap and good if you eat out that this wasnt really a problem for us. If you go self catering, it would be perfect - probably 8 out of 10. If you go half board , i'd say 2 out of 10.
Dont stay here
I am currently staying at hotel Flora in Bovorets, Bulgaria. I chose this hotel over the other as it was well located in the town and had good reviews. Big Mistake - All the hotels are well located as it is a very small place, 5 mins from each hotel and you are at a lift or Gondola. (some hotels have buses running - Lion, zodiac etc) Breakfast is served 8-10am and dinner 6-8pm, It doesnt matter if you go at 6.05pm or 7.55pm the food is cold, cold eggs in morning, cold chicken at night. It is chicken every night. I am not a fussy... more
wonderful apartments
Wonderful apartments, spotlessly clean, lovely marble entrance, much more impressive than the brochure photos. Excellent location, right near the gondola and across from the chair lifts and bars and restaurants. A lot of hotels in Borovets are older, this is brand spanking new. very friendly staff, overall I would say borovets is fantastic value for money.....
Nice hotel, horrible Irish bar
We arrived at the Flora apartments in Borovets in December 2007 for a 7 day ski holiday for New Year. 3 of the 4 people in our party had never put on a ski boot before and one was an intermediate skier with great reservations and negative preconceptions about the resort. After driving past lots of dodgy erotic bars in the coach we were expecting Borovets to be awful but were pleasantly surprised. The reception staff were helpful and organised our room key swiftly. A lady took us to our apartment in the Muy Lily block behind... more
good location
keep away from a man called stefan, he has no interest in tourist, only their money
Flora is fantastic
Had a brilliant time staying in a flora apartments. mine (number 108) had everything you need, and is kitted out nice, very modern. its right in the heart of borovets so you're never far fro mthe slopes or restaurants etc. all in all its terrific value for money.
Great Skiing Cold food
Flora hotel is a small hotel adjoining the Flora Apartments. It is close to slopes and a 5 min walk to gondola and chair lifts. Hotel is clean, modern by Boro standards, with cosy bar area with log fire. There is a bank next door with two cashpoints and a small supermarket 50 yds away. The main complaint was the food. ( Well some surprise there ) As with other comments on food in Boro it was always cold or just warm. Breakfast: cold eggs, cold fatty bacon, cold sausages, cold tomatoes cold baked bean etc. This was a little... more
