Villas are spacious but in need of an overhaul. Niggling items such as fridge freezer was rusty with a makeshift handle on. Bath rusty. Washing machine controls didn't work. Jacuzzi wasnt working correctly either. Beware there is a waste area/bin area opposite the villas where everyone dumps their rubbish! We along with other villas on that particular road had big problems with cockroaches which were obviously finding their way into my bedroom from there every night. Maids came almost every day for the first week and once during the second. Pool man came every day except Sunday. He did an excellent job. Not really what I expect from a "four star" villa!!!. Fuerteventura is very quiet. A few good restuarants, some, not so good. Why do people feel the need to have a "Sunday Roast" whilst on holiday? Not much to sample of local food or life. Almost everything shuts at 11.00 at night. Certainly not busy even at the height of the summer season. Hired a car toured the island. The locals were extremely helpful and pleasant and couldn't do enough for you. Having taken this a quick getaway to get away from the poor English weather,it was okay. Would not go back again.

Just arrived back from these villas, second time at them and not disappointed, yet again.
We took friends with us this year and they could not believe how excellent the villas are. Everything you could ask for is supplied, and if you have any queries the maintenance people are there within 15 mins of anything being reported. Excellent check-in very polite staff, villas cleaned 6 times a week and towels changed even when not been used. The pool is cleaned every day except Sunday.
Anyone giving these villas less than 8 are too choosy and should stay at home.
Weather was in 80s everyday.
Wonderful time was had by all 7 of us, would go again.

This was the first time that we had ever stayed in a villa, and we were certainly not disappointed. This villa was fantastic and had everything that you could possibly require for a great holiday.
Our villa was in a peaceful location, and it was great having your very own private pool to use whenever you wanted.
When you get fed up of the none stop sunshine, it’s great to sit in your living room and watch British TV (ITV and BBC).
The maid service is second to none and they seem to be there almost every day cleaning everywhere.
The pool cleaner was on site every other day to ensure that the pool was in first class condition.
If you are going to these Villas, be sure to take a selection of music CDs with you as they have a fantastic sound system that allows your music to be relayed to EVERY room in the villa and also to the pool area.
The downstairs games room is great to cool down from the hot sun and shoot a couple of games of pool, as is the open air shower room!!
The outside Jacuzzi is fantastic (especially when you throw in some bubble bath).
The only downside to the villa is that all the rooms are accessed from outside. This caused us a problem as we have an 8 year old son and we were not prepared for him to sleep in a room that he could have potentially been able to "sleep walk" into the pool, or at worst, someone break into his room when he was alone.
This was overcome by us moving his bed into our bedroom which was not a problem as the room was massive.
It is also a nuisance when you need to "spend a penny" in the night and have to go outside to access the bathroom.
Apart from that, the villa was fantastic and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
The staff at the reception refer to the villas as VIP villas, and they certainly do treat you as a VIP.
A great, relaxing holiday and we can't wait to return!

Seven of us stayed in villa number 10 for 2 weeks in August 2006.
The villa was fantastic with a great outdoor eating area and the pool table in the ground floor bedroom was amazing. We all thought that our villa had the best location, right opposite the complex's pool area, with a sea view.
The kids particularly liked being able to use the football pitch. Unlike one of the other reviewers, we were not disturbed by the onsite entertainment at all; maybe we were making more noise!
It is a nice walk down into the town and we thought the best place to eat was El Patios.
We were warned about the noise of the planes which gave us a good laugh on our first morning but it was something we actually got used to.
This was our third villa holiday and by far our favourite. We have booked 2 more villa holidays but this one will be hard to beat.
Great villa, great weather, great food, great holiday.

We arrived at lunch time, the reception was excellent no waiting for a key and with 3 children this is a blessing. The villa was spotlessly clean, we were directly opposite the montecastillo centre, this has many restaurants if you like fast food.
The mini train can be caught there which takes you down to the town centre and the other end of caleta de fuste so no excuses for having to walk uphill unless you go out in the evening.
The pool was cleaned everyday except Sunday as were the villas. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi. The only problem we had were the light fingered relief cleaners, who decided my partners England shirt and a pair of shorts and 5 pairs of sunglasses were rather nice and took them. Had an excellent 2 weeks holiday here and will be going again in the future.

Myself and my partner have just returned from a week staying at the Villa's at Caleta Dorada.
Our first impression of the villa was wow, and that in itself remains a wow factor. The cleaners were round on a daily basis cleaning the whole villa, even rooms that had not been touched from the day before as there was only the 2 of us and we did not use all the facilities available at the villa!
The complex itself was a shock as we had not been informed by direct holidays that the villa was actually on a large complex of approximately 300 bungalows!
The villas are split on 2 levels, at the top of the complex and again at the bottom of the complex. We were situated at the top of the complex which for the less unfit (like me) could be a bit breathtaking when walking up the hill!
Our villa was located across the road literally from the poolside entertainment which started late morning and went on till gone midnight with a variety of entertainment from children’s-adults.
The volume was extremely loud through the PA system so I would not recommend this accommodation if you are looking for a bit of peace and tranquillity whilst away.
Although it is the winter time there, the pool was so icy cold that you really could not use it at all; jumping into a freezer would have been warmer!
The villa was fully equipped and there didn’t seem to be a single item that was not available for your use - except for some form of heating as when the sun goes down, it goes extremely cold, so if having a winter holiday I would really recommend taking a selection of warm clothing.
The money exchange at the reception was a rip off, not only was the rate lower than that at other places on the resort but they also charge 2% commission, so I would recommend shopping around as we got a much better deal outside of the complex itself.
I would not recommend this resort if you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, the weather was beautiful during the day but unless you are into karaoke and loud music day and night this is not for you.
We did not venture out to any of the other resorts on the island due to finances, hence why we put all out hard earnings into a villa where we could spend the days and relax - this was not the case.

Villas are fantastic. Couldn't complain staff couldn't be more helpful. It is hilly but the little tram passes the villas every 20 minutes or so. Only thing we had a problem with was cockroaches but we informed reception and they sprayed stuff and from they did that we only saw another 1 or 2 the whole holiday.
Would recommend it to any one wanting a relaxing holiday as the bars/ restaurants are all very quiet.
Go to the Fado Rock Steak House for something to eat, absolutely beautiful and the Portuguese waiters are comical.

We traveled with Thomas Cook airlines and being a very nervous 'flyer' (having backed out of 2 previous booked holidays!) I have to say my holiday started on board the 747! very friendly staff, seats were comfy, food was nice, as we touched down at the airport we couldn't wait to step into the sunshine, after being frozen arriving at Birmingham airport just several hours earlier! the airport itself was bright and fresh with all the necessary facilities.
Then came the sight of the villa! We raced inside and everyone stood there with mouths open! inside was huge, everything we could want was there, we knew there would be a pool room but had no idea about the Jacuzzi - bonus! The patio area was just as huge, great size pool (not too warm but you can't expect too much for February-it is their winter) and your body gets used to it after the initial loss of breath! Those I refer to as 'we' included myself, my partner, 2 teenage boys and my partners mum, and there was plenty of room for us not to get under one another’s feet! we soon set about exploring.
The whole resort was absolutely immaculate, great little gift shops everywhere, and a vast array of restaurants, every shape, design and nationality you could wish for, I only wish we had longer than a week to try them all! An added bonus was easy parking outside anywhere we chose to eat.
There were lots of different expeditions, we chose to go jet skiing, my first time- the boys second, I thoroughly enjoyed this and would highly recommend it, this was done with the tutoring of a professional so you actually get tips and advice - safety is first and foremost then you can have fun, my partner and the boys chose a mountain buggy expedition as well, I chose not to but later regretted this decision :( they came back covered in dust and exhausted but saw some great views that would be otherwise unattainable.
Nightlife was good too, myself and one of the boys let our inhibitions go and hogged the microphone on karaoke night until our voices went! (well we were on holiday and nobody would see us again!) I think the large amounts of sangria contributed to my unusually out of tune notes that night! We also had a cocktail night at a rock cafe where all of us (including mum!) had some weird and wonderful colourful concoctions! needless to say we slept well that night.
On the whole I think I can speak for all of my family when I say this was a fantastic holiday that we would all eagerly do again, plenty of entertainment, activities galore, friendly staff, prompt service- need I go on! Caleta de Fuste most certainly has my vote, perhaps I should become one of the reps there! But seriously as a family varying in age from 16 to 70+! there really was something for everyone, I’m still looking through the photos 3 weeks on and cant wait until we book again for next year.

Entertainment
. Yes the evening entertainment was based around the families but very enjoyable too including birds of prey, retile shows a pantomime and every night a round of bingo.
Security
We had no problem with security. one day we acidently left the safty deposit box key in our room. after the cleanershad been in they left it on the side table, everything still in tact.
Staff
the staff were great, the c bar could get busy at night but never queing for too long and alwayd found a table somewhere no matter what time we showed up. also most things you could need such as electricals are found for hire at reception including iron and television remote. recpetion are always happy to help but will direct you to the site mini-mart, not the one straight up the hill from there which we found was easier to get to from our apartment.
pools
we enjoyed the a pool the mos although the top stair is higher than the othes and we both hurt our toes, nothing too serious we were both laughing about it. Its not too busy or noisey and always room to swim. B pool was a little busier but more flaotables in there, this depends on who is on the holiday at the time i supose. c pool was excellant with the slides although they are in the deep end and children who cant swim are advised not to go down them. a get way to get straight into the pool though if u think it moght b oo cold.
room
the rooms were great, spacious with everything you could need including self catering facilities if you dont think the food is up to scratch.even the showers are powerfull not too hot or cold. if you cover you plug holes you wont see any ants o cockroaches in the apartment as we didnt.
food
the international restraunt wasn't too impressive but could always find something you like. most people said the breakfast was the better part, but i not found of yellow mushrooms or gooey beans, other than that there is a fry up, toast or ceareal every morning to choose from. the meditarainian and chinesse were lovely with plenty to choose from. you do have to book at the restrant a day in advance fo them tho, make sure you get there early to avoid disapointment. they both run on alternate days. the meditaranian has its own menu and the chinesse is a buffet.
outside the complex
the beach is huge plenty of room for everyone, nice golden sands, maybe a bit stone towards the sea. bars and restrants are cheap, we ate out for most lunches and a few dinners. Tony ramos is gorgeos, although we never did have the famous ribs. The shopping centre is also the cheapest for perfume we found but not much else there worth going for, unless you want macdonalds.
there is a mini train down to the harbour only 1euro if you dont fancy a walk, but honestly its not that far. and you will find plenty of mini golf corses. we found 3. no more than 3 euro a go, all 18 holes.
