I have been visiting Marmaris for a number of years now and this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in. The hotel was basic but very clean and the staff are all very helpful. The air con is free (first time ever normally you have to pay a deposit) and a small deposit... more

I was worried about the food having read others' reviews beforehand, but actually there is a lot of choice. There are about six hot dishes, 25 salads, soup, breads and excellent sweets. Every evening we had diffent options. The accommodation was clean and ample, the pool... more

Hotel was conveniently positioned for beach, bars and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and clean with air con (very much needed). Staff very friendly and helpful and hotel facilities were adequate. Now to my reason for writing my first ever review of a hotel, the... more

On first sight most things were fine. First day at pool a lot of complaints made, staff very rude, managers absolute joke. Managers approached the children with us with one incident involving the manager spitting onto a young boys face cursing and swearing and throwing... more

Kalemci Hotel was perfect. Rooms were cleaned every day. The staff could not have been more pleasant. The hotel is a short walk away from the beach and the nightlife of Marmaris. The pool area is kept very clean and the staff will get you whatever you want at any time of... more

First three days was great just as expected quiet as brochure said idyllic for couple’s great staff. Reasonable food then bang 100 college kids from Belgium arrive two days later another 60 absolute nightmare didn’t spoil holiday though spent more time at beach. Hotel is great just need to sort out guests!

Would not book at this hotel again
My husband and I have just come back from this hotel, on arrival i thought that we had won a watch, the front of the hotel is very impressive, but don't get excited! the rooms are basic but as has been said on previous occassions are clean and the bedding and towels are changed regularly. we did not have a television or remote control for the air con or hangers but with the help of our excellent rep louise this was soon rectified. the food was dreadful!!! neither my husband or I are fussy eaters, but if there had not been the soup and... more
It was OK..
We stayed at this hotel half board for a week. After reading reviews about the hotel and being there, it isnt really as bad as some people say. The hotel was nice and clean, and was on the main street which was great at night. There was no entertainment at night or any activities in teh day time, which was abit rubbish as all the other hotels had shows, kareoke, pool games etc. The rooms were basic, which is all you really need. They were cleaned everyday and towels were changed. There was free aircon which was great, a room safe... more
Def go back again
When i read other peoples reviews on this hotel to say the least i was worried! After the first day those worries soon vanished. The rooms were clean and spacious, the staff couldnt do enough for you and were quick to respond if you needed any extras like pillows or towels. The food although a bit limiting at times was tasty( i would agree that you dont always get a very big portion). The pool was cleaned on a daily basis as was the surrounding area. It was a bit noisy at times with people coming home after a night out but that... more

Just returned from a week in Hotel Kalemci, had we been there any longer we would have run out of funds used up from eating out. Limited to 2 choices for evening meal, breakfast ok if you like boiled eggs. Pool bar staff very friendly and helpful,. Air Con. in rooms excellent, but rooms could have been cleaner. No entertainment. Wouldn't recommend this hotel, but if you go Happy Holidays!!!
The food was fine!!
You know what - my girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks half board and I cannot see what everyone's problem is about the food. We thought it was great and so did most of the other guests in the hotel. Breakfast was probably the only weak spot but it was certainly edible. A choice of cereals, ham, salami, cheeses, toast, jam, butter and a strange cooked choice. But occasionally there was eggy fried bread and it was delicious! Evening meal consisted of soup, a mixed variety of hot dishes, salads and lots of cakes for dessert. The... more

I went to Turkey September last year, before I went I was really aprehensive after reading all the negative reviews. I was expecting the hotel to be an absolute nightmare. Ok let me start from the beginning. we arrived late at night and got a good welcome. Got shown to our room with no trouble. We had a pool view however my brother and his friend had a view onto the street which was absolutly fine. The rooms were lovely and clean and had everything we needed. Lets face it if you go on holiday to spend the time in your room then of... more
not great
Hi, my boyfriend and I stayed at the Kalemci for 7 nights in September. I didnt find the place very good at all, I would agree with the other review that the floor in the bedrooms was very dirty as was the dining room area. The food also was terrible, we stayed on a b&b rate and after the first morning opted to have breakfast outside the hotel. It was dirty, sparse and overly warm,no doubt creating the best conditions for creating stomach upsets. I would not recommend it. Staff at reception and at the poolside bar area were not very... more
Too noisy, couldn't sleep
Clean, pretty good food but way too noisy. It's close to some very noisy bars and it also has a bar opened till 2-3am. In the morning, the music at the pool starts at 9 am but you'll be probably get awakened by shuting doors until then, by elder costumers going for breakfast. If you' re 18 it probably won't be a problem, but if you need at least 7 hours sleep, choose something else.
Hope this Helps...
Hi, Me and my boyfriend have just returned from a week in the Kelemci Hotel. The rooms were better than i expected and the weather was better than we thought. I would recommend the hotel to couples and elderly but not for families. as there is no entertainment. The hotel works on a Half board or Self catering. We went half board but the food wasnt great on some nights but the meatballs were nice. I would recommend you went Self Catering as u can still go in the dinning room and eat at a small fee of 10 lira works out at about... more
We Would not stay at the Kalemci Hotel again
Well I am the first to write a review on this hotel and no wonder, would not stay there again. The hotel room was fine except the floor needed a good scrub it was black with dirt. The room was nicely furnished with a good pool view. Bars were exspensive. No problems with loungers but it was at the end of the season and numbers of guests were low althought it was still very hot. The pool was clean and well kept. Now for the big down fall it was the food. We stayed half board breakfast we expected to be Turkish, but it was not good... more
