Me and a friend decided to go last minute. We didnt want a loud party atmosphere even tho we are only 23 and 24.
I have never experienced a hotel that is so clean, cleaners worked through out the day to ensure the hotel and grounds were spotless.
The food was brilliant and never boring, always alot to choose from. The pool is the cleanest pool i have ever been in on holiday
The staff ( especially Emrah the bar man in the poolside bar after 6.30pm ) were so friendly and always looking for ways to ensure you enjoy your holiday to the maximum.
The only negative thing i can say about the whole holiday is that thomas cook was the biggest let down. We booked two excursions : one to kos and one cruise around the bays and didnt end up going on any of them as thomas cook changed the times without telling us. We had to argue with a rep that didnt speak good english to get our £90 refunded to us.
I cant wait to go again this year! The best cocktail to have in the beach bar is a sexy mumma.
all in all we loved it x x x x x

Wasnt expecting to go to Turkey but...

Sep 2008, Mrs I Boustred

Wasnt expecting to go to Turkey but after a friend of my husband had an accident we went instead. Firstly the flights are terrible there and back, we arrived at the mirage about 2 in the morning but were friendly greeted and offered a small pack of rolls, cheese and meats each which we thought was a very nice gesture.
Hotel is fabulous so clean and the food was a very good standard with lots to choose from everynight. we realised the best thing to do for lunch and dinner is to go in early (yes we even queued!) find a table and then you coul relax and take a leisurly time about it. Wine was on tap and beer/ coke etc. Some of the russians and french do try and push in but there really is enough food to go around
The turks are very friendly and poliete, as not many english at the Hotel they were so happy to find out my husband and I were from england. Could not fault anything about the hotel, there are many steps and you have to take it very slowly down to the beach because it does get very slippery but that really is the only thing i could say.
Do not go on the final day cruise, I persuaded my husband to do as we had to vacate our room at 12 midday and our flight wasnt till 11 at night. The actual cruise was good, very hot, but the hotel we went to afterwards (Well i would call it a hostel)! was terrible. The idea was that you would have dinner and a room for the rest of the day until you were picked up to go to the airport. you are told but the rep it will be a 3 star, basic hotel but it was terrible. Got to our room and there was a bucket where a shower cubicle shouldve been, no hot water, plug sockets falling out the walls, Lost out on our all inclusive too as had to pay for all drinks at this place. I could go on and on, but it makes me shiver thinking about how it was, we called the rep Sue who then got the area manager to call us, no help whats so ever. Really poor customer service for such a big company. I will not be using Thomas Cook again!

Sep 2008, Mr J Egley

Our 9th visit to Turkey with this year ending up at the Mirage after changing our original booking for a different hotel due to very poor reviews both on this website and others. Really glad we did so as we were all very pleased with this hotel. As mentioned in other reviews the rooms are very good, ours was cleaned daily with fresh towels etc. The standard of food I thought was excellent, lots of it and a good variety over the 2 weeks that we were there. It was the usual local alcoholic drinks situation with Tuborg on draft (less said the better). In terms of entertainment the animation team, were good fun and tried very hard to engage everyone in either the pool side / evening entertainment. The hotel staff were brilliant and as usual very helpful with just one exception of one customer facing individual who in our opinion needed a serious injection of both manners and customer service.
The main hotel guests at our time were mainly made up of french, Belgians and Italians with very few Brits, which to be honest made a nice change and once you got used to the continental views on queuing / sun bed reserving etc it was fine ;-). On the whole we would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a relaxing / peaceful stay, set in a beautiful bay with good access to Yalikavak.

Sep 2008, Miss S Davis

Having been twice this year - I can say that I have thoroughly enjoyed both visits. The first alone in May was quite a bit quieter, which I enjoyed. The second with a friend in August was a lot busier, with English people definitately in the minority. The staff have very good memories and remembered me, which was a nice surprise. The hotel is always clean with the staff very friendly and accommodating. The steps may prove a problem if you have disabilities and the pool area can get slippy, which you need to be careful of. Otherwise, the food is good, if a bit eastern european, the entertainment is fun, especially if you have children with you - the clap dance is very catchy (you will be humming the songs for months afterwards!) and it is a fun way of getting to know people. The entertainment staff, Georgio, Eros and Ozzy are great fun and wonderful to know. I met some fabulous people who I shall keep in touch with. All in all a lovely, memorable holiday both times. I will definitately be back next year.

Good price/quality. Certainly worth its 4*
Plus: excellent animation team (GO GO Georgio and Eros :)), good service, quiet environment, friendly personnel, nice rooms
Minus: food not that varied, +/-20 km from Bodrum so more difficult to leave in the evening, unless organised by the hotel itself (or unless you take taxi).

The hotel was very good and clean and the food was good. Also the staff were very friendly and made you very welcome.
The hotel was quiet - not a lot of children so very relaxing.
The other guests from other parts were friendly.
Myself and my partner would recommend this if you just want a nice relaxing holiday.
We plan to go back in 2008 to the same hotel.

Jul 2007, Miss A Johnston

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Mirage hotel for a week at the end of June. The hotel itself is lovely.
The views are amazing and it is very secluded. The pool is nice and always very clean. Yalikavak is about 10 mins away by regular minibus, which is also a lovely little harbour area.
The room was clean and spacious for the two of us with balcony overlooking the sea.
The staff were brilliant. Very friendly and helped out massively when we needed to get in touch with a chemist, ordering medicine and having it delivered for us. Can't fault them!
The food left a lot to be desired. Breakfast was ok but lunch and dinner were not brilliant. Ok if you want an easy night in (with lots of salad and unrecognisable meat) but for a nicer meal, venture into Yalikavak.
Overall a lovely hotel and location!

A very clean and well looked after...

Aug 2006, Mr P McAuliffe

A very clean and well looked after hotel. Friendly staff and well above average food, although the all inclusive local beer and wine was a sub-standard. The hotel is quite non-commercial and primarily filled with German, French, Russin and nordic families, so don't expect a banging British party life.
Although a family place, there were not loads of little kids, so a quite place all in all. There water sports were good with all non-motorised sports free (i.e. pedeloe /canoeing etc). The pool was excellent - not a towel left overnight, and always a free lounger.
The beach was sandy and adequate, but man-made and a little cramped. There is a team of people there to entertain you during the day and night with activities and an evening show, but it's nothing to write home about. If you are after a relaxed holiday for the family that feels very safe and you feel well looked after, then this is the place for you.
The excursions with Thompson on the whole were very good, although expect to stop a few times at a 'friends' carpet shop to buy something. However, the local guides were excellent and spoke very good English.
