Just come back from a week at the Sellas Hotel. People were all extremely friendly and very helpful. Ideal location, right in the center of the resort. Would definately recommend the Sellas - we will definately be going back. If you're going there this year I'm sure you'll have a fab time.

Great Holiday
Sellas Hotel has a great location with the beach, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The inclusive breakfast was better than expected but the rooms were very basic with no cooking facilities, useless for self catering. The pool area had plenty of sun loungers and was generally clean enough although the Chlorine in the pool was too strong and turned whites to yellow. Air-con is a must but is quite expensive at 40 euros for a week. I probably wouldn't use this hotel again but loved Sidari.
sellas hotel sidari
the rooms are tiny with twin beds one wardrobe two small drawers a tiny fridge a kettle two cups and a spoon . the air conditioning is good but cost 40 euros per week. the pool isnt very clean but there are enough sunbeds for everyone and the baby pool is ok. some plug sockets hang off the wall in the rooms. the maids are quite rude and dont really do a good job also some things went missing out of the rooms. the snack bar is expensive eg 3 for a large coke 2 for a can of coke bacon butty 3.50 but the food was nice and the waitress in the morning was great and would always try to please. the location is ideal close everything that you might need ack off the main although the brochure doesnt mention it being up a dirt trf the main tack off sidarif the main road . oh and some of the showers flood the bathroom floor. other than that we had a great holiday and cant wait to go back next year so good accomadition recomended please.
Great Location
Enjoyed our weeks stay here. Fantastic location - close to sea, shops and night life but tucked away enough to stop any noise.. Pool area great with really shallow end of pool enabling those wary of the water to cool off safely. Breakfast adequate -hotel snacks available during day/night very good. Room basic and we did have a problem with bats in balcony roof which left quite a mess making it impossible to sit out here, but it did appear that this was just our room. Trip to sunset beech highly recommended. We would definitely go back and recommend to others. Great holiday.
Nice hotel.
Stayed here for a week, and our only complaints was that we were hidden away at the back of the hotel and that the verandas wern't private - there was just one long veranda across 4 rooms making it difficult if you wanted a quite 5 mins. Apart from that, as is typical for Greece the rooms were basic but clean and the staff we're all friendly and helpful. Oh and be warned of Michalis's bbq cruise - what this actually consists of is an hours coach journey, 10mins taxi boat to a small stoney beach where the temperature is well over 100 in the shade with 4 other boat loads of people so you have to fight to get a working brolly for that shade, 3 hours later you'll be picked up and taken home. Joy!
Good value
We stayed at this hotel in early October. A clean, basic hotel with friendly staff. On the edge of the resort of Sidari, so it was quiet, but within easy walking distance of the main resort. Other guests at this time were mainly older couples. Rooms were basic, most with a double bed and bunk beds, limited storage. Fridge and kettle provided. Air conditioning cost extra, returnable deposit required for TV remote, probably not worth it as very limited English speaking channels available. The bathrooms are small, and showering takes some effort to keep water in the shower tray... However, housekeeping was good, with linen and towel changes on a regular basis. The pool area was nice, with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas, and the bar area was light and airy. Take mosquito repellents or buy them locally, the mosquitoes were a real problem. The only real complaint we had was over the breakfast provided, which was very basic and was exactly the same every day, but in mitigation, the cost of the package from First Choice (flights and hotel) was very low so we could not really expect much more.
another great holiday
had another great holiday in sidari, stayed at the sellas hotel again 3rd time. the rooms were clean and comfortable the food was excellant and the staff were brilliant. special thanks to mimosa, marios marika the cook and kostas the night porter.a special thanks to andy the rep who was really helpful and had a great sense of humour. once again thanks to all involved at the sellas hotel. phil, julie and the twins
Fantastic Holiday, Excellent Hotel!
Have just returned from Sidari and the hotel Sellas and have had a wonderful time. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly. Prices very reasonable and a good quiz twice a week. Travelling with two children we had booked a room with bunk beds, but was pleased to be put in room 602 which is at the back of the hotel and is one huge room with 4 single beds. Loads of room to spread out, fridge, clean bathroom and veranda with table and chairs. A bit lacking in wardrobe/drawer space and only 5 hangers. Swimming pool clean with an extra pool for children. Plenty of free sunbeds. Hotel is situated to the left of the busy end of Sidari and to the right of the more traditional/family tavernas. Whichever way you go you are only minutes from the bars, shops and restaurants. Beautiful beaches, calm sea and great views of Albania. Our flight was 6.10am and we had been advised we would need to vacate room at 12.00 the previous day. Management at the hotel let us have another room (for 30 euros) and we were able to keep it until we were picked up at 2am. This was a big bonus with the children. Flights on time, even with additional security checks. Would definately recommend this hotel, value for money you can't go wrong.
clean but very basic hotel.
staff pleasent enough but watch out for the little boy who lives opposite he will steal anything you leave at the pool side, we had a number of things go missing within our group. Maids clean the rooms six days out of seven, will only do basic cleaning the dust under our beds got worse as everyday passed. Do not buy an english breakfast from the hotel you will find it cheaper at other restaurants. Overall good accomodation but could of been better.
what a brillant place!
Stayed at the sellas Hotel on the 16/06/06 till 30/06/06. Had a brillant holiday. All the staff are very friendly. The hotel is suitable for everyone. The holiday Rep was very helpful and the welcome morning gave you a few ideas of what to do on your holiday. we went on the grand island tour (which was a bit disapointing as we drove past most points of interest and the ones we did stop at we had to pay extra) and the beach day (which involved you going on a glass bottom boat, and you are taken to paradise beach where you have a bbq which includes bbq chicken in some kind of sauce and a salad). would advise people to hire a car if you want to see most of the island but its not for the faint of heart as you will see if you ever go there! the canal'd amour is a lovely beach and the beach attendant is very friendly. The hotel is cleaned everyday accept for sunday, the weather was great (42C +) but sometimes was hot to do anything. the food was great and we ate there regularly. the breakfast consists of bread (which can be toasted) ham, cheese, boiled eggs, cereal, jam and butter are also provided. To drink tea, coffee, and orange juice is provided. English breakfast or other breakfast choices are avaliable at an additional charge. The pool was very clean and we used it everyday. The safes are in a room near reception but are only like a small draw so I was unable to put my cameracorder in, safes cost a 5 euro deposit. For all of those who like to drink the bar is 24 hour apparently but i never stayed awake to find out if that was true. if you want to watch tv (although there is only probably 3 english channels and one of those has lines running across it) then it cost a 20 euro deposit. There is also a cost for the air conditioning (which i believe to be 35 euro for a week) We hired a bug rider(buggy) for a day which was great fun (nearly drove the wrong way round an island lol) that cost us 35 euro. The only Problem we had with are holiday was the flight back we were delayed up 15+ hours due to technical faults with the plane. We were constantly being told for 10 hours that the plane was going to be fixed, being told so many lies by first choice (who we and other people on that flight will not be booking through ever again.) at 4:05 in the morning we were put on a thomson flight (thank you thomson we may be booking through you in future) but instead of landing at birmingham were had originally going to land with choice we had to land at Gatwick!!!! and were coached down to birmingham. I will be making a claim. but apart from that the hotel and area was brill and i will be going back there in a couple of years but i will NOT be going with FIRST CHOICE.
Value for money - if you are looking for somewhere basic
This hotel is modern but basic. The reception and bar / breakfast areas and very clean and nicely presented - the staff all speak near perfect english and were always on hand 24 hours a day - they could not do enough to help you. The rooms however are very basic - a double bed with a cupboard, dressing table and fridge. The bathrooms are clean with plenty of hot water however the showers are not very good at all! There is not enough power for you to stand under them you have to lower them and hold in your hand to clean any soap suds off of you! They over flow and water runs all over the floor - the hotel expects this as there are drains in the centre of the floor. Unless you get a room on the end of the building you will not have a window in your bathroom. The pool area was relaxed and ideal for kids - free sunbeds and parasols and a pool bar / snack area - could do with more of a sweep up than once a week and a bit of maintenance. Breakfast is contintenal and good value although a full english is available for a very small cost. Beware if you have a late flight you still have to check out of your room at midday - my flight was not until 05.30 - though a shower room is available this is not very clean and very basic. On the whole a good hotel for the money paid - value for money - great location and friendly staff.
