Just got back from a great holiday,...

"Just got back from a great holiday, The Sellas was in a perfect position to explore Sidari and the Canal d'amour, quiet and ideal for a relaxing break.

Accommodation was very clean and is cleaned daily, basic and ideal as a base, unfortunately it rained for 3 days but we were quite happy sat on our balcony or in the bar area of the hotel. We choose not to go for breakfast at the Sellas and ventured around the various tavernas, which suited us.

Pool area was kept clean, plenty of sunbeds for all and the pool is a decent size.

Carly our First Choice Rep was lovely very chatty and friendly.

I would recommend anyone to go to the Three Little Pigs just at the end of the lane from the hotel, the meals are fab, large portions, friendly staff and if you go for about 20.15pm you will see the waiters doing a traditional Greek dance in a ring of flames and it is brilliant to watch, take your camera.

There is plenty of nightlife in the main Sidari strip that suits all ages.

Overall a great hotel and nice place, typically Greek.

Had a fantastic time at Hotel Sellas...

"Had a fantastic time at Hotel Sellas in July 2007.

Room is basic, but did have a nice balcony to relax and chill on if required.

Did have to pay for air con but was cheap at 35euros for the week so was well worth it.

Staff were very friendly and helpful at anytime of the day or evening.

Pools are great and the bar is just a few paces away if need be.

Thoroughly recommend the place and will be hoping to head there again in 2008.

Stayed at Sellas Hotel August 2007...

" Stayed at Sellas Hotel August 2007 previously stayed 2005. Excellent location of the Hotel, basic but clean.

Pool ideal, breakfast ok got up early most mornings for coffee and then stayed by pool. Mimosa and her family lovely, we will be visiting them again next year. Near excellent tavernas, I could move there tomorrow.

Corfu a wonderful place been 5 times so far. Every meal out excellent, enjoyed the Horse Riding this year and also mountain biking. Recommend Pizza Romana, and the Garden Restaurant along from the Canal D Amour.

Hello Just got back from the Sellas...

"Hello

Just got back from the Sellas Hotel a few days ago. Had a great time there.

Rooms were good (not the best but clean and everything you need for the price you pay). Pool is gorgeous and much longer than it looks in the pictures. Food there was good. Basic breakfast but plenty of places to go and get a full English if you wanted at about €5 each. Staff were extremely helpful, we had a problem with our toilet and it got fixed in 10 mins.

We purchased air con which was about £35 but well worth it, definitely recommended. There were a lot of mosquitoes around but the air con more than helped with this, would definitely recommend buying insect repellent and bite cream, as the two of us used repellent and we only got bitten twice.

Make sure you have plenty of sun lotion as it is not cheap over there. The shower is a bit dodgy but this was all we could fault about the hotel really. We would recommend this place to anybody!! Sidari as a resort is fantastic!! There are loads to do or not do if you want a quiet one, and loads of great bars and restaurants. We recommend the Rose Garden which caters for everyone and it is gorgeous!! Turn left out of the road from the apartments and follow it down :)

Such a good holiday, so relaxed in...

"Such a good holiday, so relaxed in the daytime but in the evening so much going on. Great location. People at Sellas Hotel were really nice and friendly, which made the holiday that extra bit special.

Room was nice, basic but nice. Only thing that could have been better was the bathroom, especially the shower. Hardly in the room anyway so wasn't a major problem

Will be going back there next year as one of the best holidays I have had.

Good value

"We stayed at this hotel in early October. A clean, basic hotel with friendly staff. On the edge of the resort of Sidari, so it was quiet, but within easy walking distance of the main resort. Other guests at this time were mainly older couples.

Rooms were basic, most with a double bed and bunk beds, limited storage. Fridge and kettle provided. Air conditioning cost extra, returnable deposit required for TV remote, probably not worth it as very limited English speaking channels available.

The bathrooms are small, and showering takes some effort to keep water in the shower tray... However, housekeeping was good, with linen and towel changes on a regular basis.

The pool area was nice, with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas, and the bar area was light and airy. Take mosquito repellents or buy them locally, the mosquitoes were a real problem.

The only real complaint we had was over the breakfast provided, which was very basic and was exactly the same every day, but in mitigation, the cost of the package from First Choice (flights and hotel) was very low so we could not really expect much more.

A (mostly) friendly family-run hotel...

"A (mostly) friendly family-run hotel with very basic facilities (tatty furniture, awful shower, noisy fridge). Air conditioning is an "extra" - plus a deposit for a remote control to make it work!

A mostly British clientele apart from 8-10 very noisy Greek lads (who felt the need to shout ALL THE TIME) and the infamous 2 Greek kids (who were quite amusing at first, but got on people's nerves after a few days).

Location is ok, in that the hotel is just far enough away from the main road that you are not kept awake all night by the many English bars, karaoke singers, "Greek" nights and Elvis/George Michael impersonators.

Our biggest problem was the fact that during our stay, at least one member of every group of hotel residents that we spoke to (over twenty!) had gone down with a pretty nasty stomach bug - too much of a coincidence? Our First Choice rep was utterly useless - he tried to convince us all that it was just something going round the whole resort and it wasn't just the Hotel Sellas...

Summary: Don't forget your Imodium!

Fantastic Holiday, Excellent Hotel!

"Have just returned from Sidari and the hotel Sellas and have had a wonderful time. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly. Prices very reasonable and a good quiz twice a week. Travelling with two children we had booked a room with bunk beds, but was pleased to be put in room 602 which is at the back of the hotel and is one huge room with 4 single beds. Loads of room to spread out, fridge, clean bathroom and veranda with table and chairs. A bit lacking in wardrobe/drawer space and only 5 hangers. Swimming pool clean with an extra pool for children. Plenty of free sunbeds. Hotel is situated to the left of the busy end of Sidari and to the right of the more traditional/family tavernas. Whichever way you go you are only minutes from the bars, shops and restaurants.

Beautiful beaches, calm sea and great views of Albania.

Our flight was 6.10am and we had been advised we would need to vacate room at 12.00 the previous day. Management at the hotel let us have another room (for 30 euros) and we were able to keep it until we were picked up at 2am. This was a big bonus with the children. Flights on time, even with additional security checks. Would definately recommend this hotel, value for money you can't go wrong.

clean but very basic hotel.

"staff pleasent enough but watch out for the little boy who lives opposite he will steal anything you leave at the pool side, we had a number of things go missing within our group. Maids clean the rooms six days out of seven, will only do basic cleaning the dust under our beds got worse as everyday passed. Do not buy an english breakfast from the hotel you will find it cheaper at other restaurants. Overall good accomodation but could of been better."

what a brillant place!

"Stayed at the sellas Hotel on the 16/06/06 till 30/06/06.

Had a brillant holiday. All the staff are very friendly. The hotel is suitable for everyone. The holiday Rep was very helpful and the welcome morning gave you a few ideas of what to do on your holiday. we went on the grand island tour (which was a bit disapointing as we drove past most points of interest and the ones we did stop at we had to pay extra) and the beach day (which involved you going on a glass bottom boat, and you are taken to paradise beach where you have a bbq which includes bbq chicken in some kind of sauce and a salad). would advise people to hire a car if you want to see most of the island but its not for the faint of heart as you will see if you ever go there! the canal'd amour is a lovely beach and the beach attendant is very friendly.

The hotel is cleaned everyday accept for sunday, the weather was great (42C +) but sometimes was hot to do anything. the food was great and we ate there regularly. the breakfast consists of bread (which can be toasted) ham, cheese, boiled eggs, cereal, jam and butter are also provided. To drink tea, coffee, and orange juice is provided. English breakfast or other breakfast choices are avaliable at an additional charge. The pool was very clean and we used it everyday. The safes are in a room near reception but are only like a small draw so I was unable to put my cameracorder in, safes cost a 5 euro deposit. For all of those who like to drink the bar is 24 hour apparently but i never stayed awake to find out if that was true. if you want to watch tv (although there is only probably 3 english channels and one of those has lines running across it) then it cost a 20 euro deposit.

There is also a cost for the air conditioning (which i believe to be 35 euro for a week)

We hired a bug rider(buggy) for a day which was great fun (nearly drove the wrong way round an island lol) that cost us 35 euro.

The only Problem we had with are holiday was the flight back we were delayed up 15+ hours due to technical faults with the plane. We were constantly being told for 10 hours that the plane was going to be fixed, being told so many lies by first choice (who we and other people on that flight will not be booking through ever again.) at 4:05 in the morning we were put on a thomson flight (thank you thomson we may be booking through you in future) but instead of landing at birmingham were had originally going to land with choice we had to land at Gatwick!!!! and were coached down to birmingham. I will be making a claim.

but apart from that the hotel and area was brill and i will be going back there in a couple of years but i will NOT be going with FIRST CHOICE.
