we stayed at the hotel in july, when we arrived we were amazed at the size and appearance of the hotel as the internet pictures do not do it justice, throughout the entire holiday the hotel was very peaceful, especially around the pool as the summer holidays hadn't started. the hotel room was basic but very clean. the breakfast however was very basic but the food at the hotel is cheap and so is the local bars around the corner, the hotels location was brilliant, everything is in walking distance, the strip, the beach, the restaurants, the shops and the canal d'amour. we will definitely be going back to this hotel as it is a great value for money.

Myself and my Husband stayed at the Sellas Hotelin Sidari Corfu bed & breakfast in June 2011 when we arrived we were shown to our room the toilet door did'nt lock the fridge was rusty and dirty and the cutlery in the room was dirty. We asked to be moved so they moved us to the top floor room 502 overlooking the pool that was no better, the fridge was dirty inside and rusty inside and out the lid on the kettle was broke when we went to make a cup of tea it fell off so boiling water came out the top of it the taps in the bathroom were all rusty and dirty the shower head was the same the shower curtain had holes in it and was dirty at the bottom and the stool at the dressing table had a dirty stain on it. The room itself was clean but the fixtures and fridge were very dirty, the furnitue is dated we complained to the thomsom rep Jo she tried everything she could to help us or get us moved to another hotel but nothing came of it. We had a word with the owner George he said the taps were not rusty just used and his fridges are not dirty or rusty he can be a bit arrogant he picks and choices who he wants to be around the reason we picked this hotel is we read a lot of reviews that it was lovely and so was the owner. On the thomson website it is rated 3 star i would say its more a 1 star from our experience. We seen another rep Emma from First Choice 3 days into the holiday and she got all new fitments and fridge for us that day we were told that they would try and move us on the friday 5 days into the holiday if there was anything available but because all the things in the room were changed we were told not getting moved try to enjoy your holiday.
I have been to Sidari several times and i know you can get basic hotels but they have always been clean.
The cleaners work 6 days our sheets and towels were changed 3 times a week the cleaners are lovely and very friendly.
The staff at the hotel are lovely Lauren is lovely she works the bar, the pool area is clean plenty of sunloungers only 6 parasols.
The breakfast is boring boiled eggs, flakes, french bread for toast which takes ages and an apple tea, coffee and orange juice you can purchase a full english off the menu.
I would'nt recommend this hotel to anybody but if you do go ask for self catering the annex as they are better or room 502 if doing B&B.
Jo the thomson rep is lovely.
There is a lot of wasps and other insects and a lot of mosquitos avon do skin so soft dry body oil the green one you spay it on and i have not had a problem with the mosquitos i also recommend a mosquito net.
The hotel is central for everything.
The best places to eat are Shakers, Fagens Marias On The Beach and Sea Breeze.
The best places to stay are Olive Grove Yannis & Katarina who own it are two of the nicest people you could meet they are full of fun and make you feel so welcome, Marias On The Beach Spiro & Niko the waiters are lovely, Angelinas and the Alkion.
The best beach is Marias on the beach.

Just returned from 2 weeks at sellas, had a fab time, staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Our room overlooked the pool,ok so it was basic, but shower had a curtain which is a luxury in greece!Have stayed in higher star accomadation and never had one!! Our room also had a plug next to the mirror and dressing table.. another luxury. Hotel is NOT LOCATED down a dark alleyway but a small road which is well lit,its perfectly situated for beach and the main strip, there was a variety of restaurants to eat in ,turn left on main road and visit Mythos taverna, they do the most enormous portions of delicious food, at a great price too.I would certainly return to this hotel in the future.
Our rep Paul was great, was very reliable, and was always eager to help with any queries.

Just got back from Sellas Hotel. The hotel was not clean, we seemed to have a lot of ants crawling around the tiles and our bed sheets were not changed, we know this because we arrived to ripped sheets and they were not replaced over the duration of the week. Shower facilities were extremely poor and the room had a hazardous metal spike by the balcony that we kept catching our feet on. Maids left the room unlocked on two occasions and therefore our passports and valuables were at risk of theft. Staff were not welcoming at all, didn't even say a friendly hello when we arrived and were hostile all week. They did not help us in anyway when we aired our concerns to them over a confusion about check out times. Hotel located down a dark alleyway off the main street which was very intimidating at night times. Bitterly disappointing holiday. We are following this up with a tour operator.

Just came back from a holiday at the Sellas Hotel both my son and I thought it was a lovely place to stay. We both felt the people running the hotel were really lovely and it had a nice family atmosphere. Situated down a rough road it was quiet but still close enough to the beach and many bars. Mainly families staying there and no fights for sunbeds round the pool every day! This was my first holiday abroad with my son (12) after becoming a single parent and I can say that I felt very safe and happy both at the hotel and resort. I would definately consider returning next year for longer than the week I stayed this time.

I have just returned from the Sellas hotel and I have to say having read the reviews I was a little concerned but can report that I found the hotel to be fine. It is basic but this is Greece and most hotels are basic with dodgy showers but as far as hotels in Greece go I thought this was a fiarly good one. The people who run the hotel (Marios and Mimosa)are a friendly couple who make you feel welcome, the pool is clean and the hotel is in an excellent location. There was a maid service once a week, you get a free safety deposit box, its 35 euros for air con per week and you can pay 20 euros to keep your room on until 6 pm if you have a night flight. The one complaint I do have is that the rooms have paper thin walls and it is difficult to sleep especially when the most awful family ever moved in four days into the holiday! Thomson were an excellent company and the rep was fantastic. I would return to this hotel in the future

we arrived 3am early hours and were greated with a warm welcome by mario the owner who is very pleasent ,he took us to our rooms ,we were well pleased with the views and the cleansiness of our apartment and the whole complex.in the morning we were greated be marios wife she was also very pleasent .and the breakfast was exellent.they have live entertainment on every week and play nice background music in the bar area where you can sit outside and enjoy a drink ,and an evening meal if you wished to do so.for people going b&b this consists of a continental breakfast which is coffee ,tea .milk orange ceareal ,eggs, cheese, ham.,toast or soft fresh rolls with butter ,jam, or marmalade and fruit of the day ,so just to point out that it is a continental breakfast which is ample. you can also pay for a full beakfast @ 3 euros for 2 eggs 2 bacon 2 sausages tomatoe ,beans.mushrooms 2 slices of toast with butter and jam or marmalade, they also have a full menu for food and drinks well recommended.the road is less than to mins from the sellas and brings you out straight onto the siesta pub and the 3 little pigs.turn right and you are only 5 mins stroll to the start of the strip ,with tavernas like the target ect and chineese restaunt on the way.we are looking to go back there next year
love to mimosa and mario if you read this

me and my boyfriend have just returned from a week in sidari at the Sellas hotel...mimosa and marios were the perfect hosts all week, really friendly!!! Perfect location, nice and quiet but not too far from all the bars, shops and restaurants. The food was lovely and the apartment, though it was very basic it was very clean and linen was changed 4-5 times a week! The only down side was the shower...it was more like a wet room!!! But we would highly recomend this hotel for a cheap get away!! brilliant holiday!!!

i have stayed in the sellas hotel numerous times with my family and have loved it everytime, mimosa and marios who run the hotel are very friendly and always interact with customers. George Sellas who owns the hotel sometimes makes a apperance as well which is good as you can tell him what you think of the hotel. it is a 5 minute walk from the beach and a 2 minute walk from sidari town which includes bars for all ages and restraunts. The walk is 20 minutes away from the sidari waterpark. the food at the hotel is great and a different variety for different people. the pool is located in the middle of the hotel which yiu can see from you hotel, most of them face the pool. i would recommend this because many people do not have a bad word to say about it familys is best for staying at the hotel.
