I really enjoyed my week in this hotel. ok its not exactly right on the beach its a 10 min walk or about 2 euro in a taxi away, but the service makes up for it. the staff were brilliant. so friendly and helpful and always looking out for you. they made you feel really welcome and well looked after. the whole hotel was spotless. the cleaner way excellent. lots of entertainment.

We decided to try something different and strayed away from or normal European holiday on this occasion.
The hotel was fab, absolutely faultless, clean, pleasant staff although the breakfast did get a little monotonous.
Agadir very quiet considering this is the 'touristy' part of Morocco.
What was tiring was getting ripped off at every turn, in the bars, restaurants and every shop. Being overcharged or actually chased down the street when one waitress had omitted something from the bill (that the generous tip covered twice over) was incredibly annoying and slightly embarrassing for us as everyone turned round to look at us.
People just do not take no for an answer in Agadir and I do not like having to be rude to people simply to be left alone and despite being fully covered up on an evening with my long hair fastened back as per the cultural guides I had read, I was still leered at, which was uncomfortable when I was making an effort to not offend.
Not somewhere we will be returning to until they learn how to treat the tourists better who are bringing money into their communities.

Just back from two weeks in Agadir with my boyfriend and had a brilliant time. Yes, there is a lot of construction going on around the hotel but we were not even slightly disturbed by noise or work. The staff are all first class and really appreciate good tipping. The standard rate is 10% but with everything so cheap and the standard of service so high, I would recommend giving them more, a little bit more money means so much more to them and you won't miss it. The staff would fall over themselves to help you with absolutely anything so deserve the appreciation.
The hotel facilities were great but having to get up at 7:30 in the morning to ensure you got a place by the pool was not much fun. The rooms are a very good size and although the kitchen was quite basic, it was sufficient.
There is plenty to do, with the town and beach a short walk or cheap taxi away, it is very accessible. There were also many trips organised through the tour operator. The boat trip was not the best due to poor weather conditions but we also went out on the camels, quads and a day trip to the Massa and Western Sahara, all of which I would highly recommend - very good value for money and great days out. One tip, if hiring quads, is better to get one between two people. It is a long enough trip and when we were out it was 52C so too much for one person to drive alone!!
The only fault I would find was that it was impossible to walk through the town without people trying to get you into their shop and, if they do manage to, it's very hard to get out without buying anything. Also watch out for chancers who try giving you massages on the beach or selling you something as they will rip you off.
All in all, a brilliant holiday, very relaxing but still with plenty to do for the more adventurous. We will definitely be going again.

Just come back from Agadir. Overall a really good experience. I would recommend it to anybody.
I went with 5 of my friends, so booked two rooms as we were told one room can house up to 3 people, so we thought their would be three beds, but to our astonishment there was only a king size bed. After speaking to the receptionist about this, we were moved to more spacious rooms which put a smile on all our faces.
Hotel was very good. Maid came in everyday changed the towels and tidied up etc. A little tipping the maids goes a long way so I would certainly recommend that, although they don’t ask for anything.
Breakfast wasn’t all that, so we used to eat out everyday. The pool was pretty decent as well as the Jacuzzi and health spa, top class. You can also get a massage from the beautiful Moroccan girls at the spa for about 250 dirhams as well.
The beach is a 5 minute drive in a petit taxi; they normally charge about 15 dirhams to the beach which isn’t even a pound. Beach is beautiful though. You can try a whole host of activities there such as jet skis and quad biking etc.
If you can take a trip up to the kasbah which is the hill which the words "GOD, COUNTRY, OWNER" written in Arabic. Awesome views of the beach from up there.
The soukh-al-ahad is well worth visiting as well to try your hand at haggling. Ten minute drive in a petit taxi. Traditional Moroccan market. Amazing.
Bird Valley which is a few minutes away from the beach is a peaceful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the promenade. 5 dirhams for entrance. Nice
The agadir nightlife is pretty good as well. The sofitel nightclub is the pick of them all. A classy disco with classy revellers. Agadir beach club is pretty good as well, which is also a haven for the beautiful local Arab girls. Atlantic palace is a nightclub which starts at 4 in the morning so id recommend that to the hardcore revellers out there.
All in all really nice holiday, we will be going back next year.

Having just spent a week at the hotel I would like to add my comments.
When me and my boyfriend arrived we were shocked to see so much building work going on around the surrounding areas to the hotel. We did think that this was going to be a problem but it wasn’t, we didn’t hear any noise and I was shocked at the hours and the pace that they work. (Long hours, fast pace).
I must say that there isn't very much to do in Agadir esp if your young and looking for things to do to keep you occupied, (we did find some bumper cars which was fun and my boyfriend kept paying for the locals to have another go).
Although me and my boyfriend did go to Marrakech which was a really good experience, the snake charmers and monkeys were really good although they do ask for money for taking photos of the animals.
They also offer a horse and carriage that takes you round and stops at the tourist places and the driver tells you about the gardens ect, its good value for money and last for over an hour.
The hotel was very clean and the cleaner was in every day and she changed the towels every day, all the staff were very friendly and me and my boyfriend spent many of times laughing and joking with them.
The shuttle bus that the hotel offers is very good and cheap and the driver is very friendly and if you ask him to come back for you he will.
The breakfast is very basic but there was always plenty of tea on offer.
Our room was really big and the balcony was very good as well with a view of the pool, the kitchen was very good and had a little hob, which came in handy for making cups of tea, if we left anything on the side that needed washing up the cleaner would also clean them, which was nice of her.
The one thing that I really didn’t like is that we went to a restaurant on the beach front and there was a kitten running around, and the staff were shocked that I wanted it away from us when we were eating, needless to say that we didn’t eat there again.
All in all the hotel was nice and clean and my boyfriend loved the gym. I don’t think that we will be going back to Agadir any time soon as we like something to do while on holiday, but a lovely hotel and staff to be proud of!

I have just come back from a 1 week holiday with my partner, who is originally from Morocco.
We were a little bit worried before we went as the hotel had some bad reviews, but when we got there we were pleasantly surprised.
The hotel was really quiet-not as much building noise as people say, you can hardly hear a thing- the rooms were really big, comfortable and clean, evening entertainment was good fun, and the breakfasts were ideal.
Also, all of the staff in the hotel were lovely and were always making sure everything was fine.
The weather was lovely, nice and warm during the day, but cool during the evenings.
The hotel is a short walk from the fabulous beach, and a cheap, short taxi ride from all local restaurants, shops etc.
Agadir has many attractions, many of which can be booked through the tour operator, others which can be visited alone.
Overall, our holiday was excellent value for money, I would recommend the Residence Intouriste to anybody who is after a quiet, relaxing holiday, and Agadir for anybody after a "different" sort of holiday.

Been reading other comments and am surprised people have given as little as 3 out of 10 for this lovely hotel. There are hotels being built in the area, but no noise or traffic came from them, nor did I see many people working on them.
The hotel can not be responsible for other hotels being built!
The room we had was fantastic, bigger than the flat my partner and I share at home in Leeds! The two electric hobs we had to cook on were more than we expected, we didn't think we would have any sort of kitchen, let alone that and as many pans and plates and cups as you could want.
The spa facilities were spot on. My partner and I took a Turkish bath with clay, which we later found out we had been overcharged for. The woman at the desk explained she had tried to ring our room the rest of that day but we had been out.
To apologise they allowed us to have unlimited use of the sauna, gym and hydrotherapy pool for the day, which more than compensated us for monies lost!
The staff were always friendly and polite, and always wanting to make sure we were enjoying our holiday!
In the lift one evening on our way out to dinner, a smartly dressed man asked what we thought of the hotel, to which we replied "It s fantastic, beautiful and spot on" and then asked him what he thought of it when he said he was the hotel manager!
He asked if we needed anything else and if there were any thing we would change about the hotel and its services and we couldn't fault it one bit.
The hotel was a ten minute walk from both the hypermarket and the beach (in opposite directions) and a small fare in a taxi from anywhere in Agadir.
Agadir is obviously a tourist town, but it’s a good base to start exploring morocco, with many speaking English and willing to help you out (even if they want a small tip for the pleasure).
I don't know if I would go back to Agadir as a resort, but morocco overall is an amazing country with a varied culture and we are planning a long weekend trip to Marrakesh in the autumn.
But as for the Residence Intouriste, I cannot speak highly enough of the beautiful hotel with its friendly staff, fantastic rooms and superb facilities!

The hotel was beautiful, with very friendly, helpful staff.
The room was large, with a good balcony, we only had a room, no kitchen. The maid came in every day, but she didn't clean very well, I'm afraid. Be sure to leave all your dirty towels together. I left one on the bed by mistake, and she didn't replace it, only left 1 clean one!
Great spa, they do body scrubs, facials, massages, you name it. Cheap, too! I had a two-hour session, and it was only about £25. The girls speak very little English, but they really try to work with you to understand what you want.
There was a lot of building going on around the hotel, but it wasn't noisy at all. Food wasn't great, but we only ate breakfast there, anyway.
We wouldn't go back to Agadir in a hurry, not really much to do. We did take the two-day trip to Marrakesh, which was well worth it. We had a couple of little informational stops, and got to see the goats climbing the trees. Very good value, hotel and meals included, and we got to eat in the restaurant where The Man Who Knew Too Much was filmed.
Be warned, though, if you're uncomfortable with haggling, you'll have a hard time. The people in the Souks, and even in the shops in town, all try to get you into their shops.
You can't just walk around and look, really. If they see you're interested, then it's a hard sell. We were assured that they really weren't offended if you said no, but still, it was very hard to get used to.
French and Arabic are the languages, and they really did seem to appreciate it if you tried something in Arabic.
I wouldn't recommend Morocco to anyone who wasn't a bit adventurous. The culture is very, very different, and can be quite intimidating. I'm very glad we went, but I doubt that we'd go again.

Just returned from a holiday in Agadir. You can't describe it in one word. We arrived at about 8.00pm checked in while the bell boys took our suitcases to the room. The rooms are huge and there is more space than needed. We had a one bed roomed apartment and there was lots of space. The kitchen is very basic but we ate our every day. Had breakfast in the room and dinner an evening meal out. The bedrooms house the biggest bed I have every seen and the bathroom is outstanding. We had room 404 which had 2 massive terrace that were the size of the bedroom, a bit of a waste of space really having 2 balconies of that size. Very cheap for a meal, no more than £25 for three people. If you go to the local areas you can get a good meal for about £1.
Didn't have a lot of time to find somewhere on the first night so the bell boy recommended the Central Sports Bar, this is an English bar for tourists. He rang for a taxi. Taxi come in the form of orange petit taxis which only take three people and white Mercedes that will take as many as possible. The orange taxis cost about 20 dirham which is about £1.22. Very cheap. The beach is about 30 minutes away and is alright to do for 1 day but because taxis are cheap and easy to get. There are lots of places to eat.
This hotel to me was perfect because it was a 4 start hotel which I think is too low that has a huge pool, it was very quite in October and were only about 5 families around the pool. Would definitely recommend this for couples who want peace and quite of families that want a nice hotel that isn't full of kids and the easiness of getting a taxi.
There is a lot of poverty that is recognizable everywhere. There is only one fixed price shop called jean shop. Haggle for everything because they always start the price off very high. Very cheap if your not scared of haggling. Food and drink cannot be haggled for.
Would definitely recommend going on the half day to tour to Agadir. We arrived on Sunday and went on the Monday evening. This was useful because it showed us places to eat etc. Also this is the only trip where you travel to the Kasbah which is the hill with the writing on. Amazing views from up there. It inlt cost £6.25 per person and then we went on the anti-atlas and tafroute trip which went up into the atlas mountains. We meet children in the mountain villages who love receiving bags of sweets from tourists.
We went in October during Ramadan. This is the time where all Muslims in the country fast from dawn till dusk. At about 6.15pm every night a siren went off and a cannon was shot. This can be seen from the terraces or balconies of the hotel if at the front.
Overall an amazing holiday, well worth the money and the people are so grateful for any money you give them. The cleaners in the hotel do a great job every day and the bar staff are very professional. Just to be noted that if you want a glass of wine the give you the bottle and will top your glass up when it’s empty even without you asking.

Very clean hotel with fantastic staff
Excellent shuttle service
Bad points:
No view at all (Due to building works - although, there was no noise)

Just returned after two weeks on a building site! The hotel is right in the middle of at least 9 half built hotels. The builders live on site and my husband and I saw one of them go to the toilet in a bush just below our balcony! (no2s too)! No wonder the grounds were full of flies. The hotel is pleasant and the apartments are large and cleaned every day.
I was disappointed to find there was no bath. All the staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. The pool is too deep and the beach was so full of locals that I ended up sunbathing on our balcony. That’s when the sun was out, there’s this mist you see. The mist lasts well into the afternoon on some days.
Agadir its self has a mixture of eating places mostly serving the same food at different prices. Bird Valley is a welcome escape, nice and cool and relaxing. There’s a French style hypermarket nearby which was great for getting supplies from, brains for tea anyone?!

Just got back from my two weeks holiday in Agadir. The hotel was very clean but it was in the middle of a building site eleven hotels being built around it. I work on a building site all year round so it was like a busmans holiday for me.
I went half board and found it hard to make them understand I was half board then ended up with the snack bar menu for my evening meal for the full two weeks of my stay.
The walk to the beach is about 20 mins and 30 mins to the nearest bar.
Weather was rubbish too. Won't be going back in a hurry.

Well what can I say, The hotel was very nice inside and they was always cleaning it, spot on for that. The view 360 degrees worth is rubbish as the hotel is in the middle of a building site they start work at 6.00 in the morning so be aware.
Its a little out of the way it takes about 30 -35 mins to walk into the edge of town mostly on roads with no pavement. The beach is very clean and takes about 20mins to get to. Watch out of the old chap that says he's got friends in England called John and Carol, he’s after your towels cloths shoes etc for gifts for his family, he was harmless bless him but no we didn't give him anything.
Weather was rubbish hazy and cloudy first week but hazy and warm with a little sunshine the second week, July and August is very hazy according to the locals. Maybe in about 5 - 10 yrs time it will be nice. Glad I went for the experience but I wont be visiting again.

I've just come back from Morocco Agadir, was fab!
So clean, this hotel is amazing! Beautiful, clean, pretty close to the beach, we walked to the beach everyday. The hotel pool is pretty good to. The evening entertainment at the hotel us really good - snake charmers, magic show, acrobats, etc! Really good! The shuttle bus is pretty good, cheap but even the taxi rides the tops it will be is 20Dirhams!
I had fab time! I did a camel ride, booked/sorted it with our Thomas Cook guide - that was an experience! Was a lot of fun!
Food is nice in hotel cheap, but was a shame didn’t really have real authentic Moroccan food!

Hello,
I just wanted to say that the hotel was great! I read a few bad reviews previously and was a bit anxious about it before I went. But when I arrived, I was absolutely amazed! What a great hotel. It's true that it isn't in the main hub and the hotel is a little quiet but that's all great because you get more attention and care from the staff etc.
Our room was brilliant! We had a massive lounge, bedroom, kitchen, Ensuite and balcony. Which sounds all normal but everything was really clean and the maids came to tidy every day.
The hotel is very big and the decor is lovely. The staff are also very helpful and friendly.
The location may not be ideal as other hotels are being built in the area but it wasn't a problem for us. Also the beach is a 10 min walk and taking a cab everywhere is fine especially because it costs around £1 per taxi journey.
Anyway, I would recommend it for holiday makers who are looking for a bit of peace and quiet. Agadir on the whole is on the quiet side.
