Just returned from a holiday in Agadir. You can't describe it in one word. We arrived at about 8.00pm checked in while the bell boys took our suitcases to the room. The rooms are huge and there is more space than needed. We had a one bed roomed apartment and there was lots of space. The kitchen is very basic but we ate our every day. Had breakfast in the room and dinner an evening meal out. The bedrooms house the biggest bed I have every seen and the bathroom is outstanding. We had room 404 which had 2 massive terrace that were the size of the bedroom, a bit of a waste of space really having 2 balconies of that size. Very cheap for a meal, no more than £25 for three people. If you go to the local areas you can get a good meal for about £1.
Didn't have a lot of time to find somewhere on the first night so the bell boy recommended the Central Sports Bar, this is an English bar for tourists. He rang for a taxi. Taxi come in the form of orange petit taxis which only take three people and white Mercedes that will take as many as possible. The orange taxis cost about 20 dirham which is about £1.22. Very cheap. The beach is about 30 minutes away and is alright to do for 1 day but because taxis are cheap and easy to get. There are lots of places to eat.
This hotel to me was perfect because it was a 4 start hotel which I think is too low that has a huge pool, it was very quite in October and were only about 5 families around the pool. Would definitely recommend this for couples who want peace and quite of families that want a nice hotel that isn't full of kids and the easiness of getting a taxi.
There is a lot of poverty that is recognizable everywhere. There is only one fixed price shop called jean shop. Haggle for everything because they always start the price off very high. Very cheap if your not scared of haggling. Food and drink cannot be haggled for.
Would definitely recommend going on the half day to tour to Agadir. We arrived on Sunday and went on the Monday evening. This was useful because it showed us places to eat etc. Also this is the only trip where you travel to the Kasbah which is the hill with the writing on. Amazing views from up there. It inlt cost £6.25 per person and then we went on the anti-atlas and tafroute trip which went up into the atlas mountains. We meet children in the mountain villages who love receiving bags of sweets from tourists.
We went in October during Ramadan. This is the time where all Muslims in the country fast from dawn till dusk. At about 6.15pm every night a siren went off and a cannon was shot. This can be seen from the terraces or balconies of the hotel if at the front.
Overall an amazing holiday, well worth the money and the people are so grateful for any money you give them. The cleaners in the hotel do a great job every day and the bar staff are very professional. Just to be noted that if you want a glass of wine the give you the bottle and will top your glass up when it’s empty even without you asking.

Arrived back early this morning! Overall we had a great holiday.
Good points:
Trip to Marrakesh was exhausting but well worth it!
Cheap to eat out, especially off the beaten track
Very clean hotel with fantastic staff
Excellent shuttle service
Bad points:
No view at all (Due to building works - although, there was no noise)
Poor weather
Limited on site day entertainment
Rally car drivers AKA Taxi drivers!

Just returned after two weeks on a building site! The hotel is right in the middle of at least 9 half built hotels. The builders live on site and my husband and I saw one of them go to the toilet in a bush just below our balcony! (no2s too)! No wonder the grounds were full of flies. The hotel is pleasant and the apartments are large and cleaned every day.
I was disappointed to find there was no bath. All the staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. The pool is too deep and the beach was so full of locals that I ended up sunbathing on our balcony. That’s when the sun was out, there’s this mist you see. The mist lasts well into the afternoon on some days.
Agadir its self has a mixture of eating places mostly serving the same food at different prices. Bird Valley is a welcome escape, nice and cool and relaxing. There’s a French style hypermarket nearby which was great for getting supplies from, brains for tea anyone?!

Just got back from my two weeks holiday in Agadir. The hotel was very clean but it was in the middle of a building site eleven hotels being built around it. I work on a building site all year round so it was like a busmans holiday for me.
I went half board and found it hard to make them understand I was half board then ended up with the snack bar menu for my evening meal for the full two weeks of my stay.
The walk to the beach is about 20 mins and 30 mins to the nearest bar.
Weather was rubbish too. Won't be going back in a hurry.

Well what can I say, The hotel was very nice inside and they was always cleaning it, spot on for that. The view 360 degrees worth is rubbish as the hotel is in the middle of a building site they start work at 6.00 in the morning so be aware.
Its a little out of the way it takes about 30 -35 mins to walk into the edge of town mostly on roads with no pavement. The beach is very clean and takes about 20mins to get to. Watch out of the old chap that says he's got friends in England called John and Carol, he’s after your towels cloths shoes etc for gifts for his family, he was harmless bless him but no we didn't give him anything.
Weather was rubbish hazy and cloudy first week but hazy and warm with a little sunshine the second week, July and August is very hazy according to the locals. Maybe in about 5 - 10 yrs time it will be nice. Glad I went for the experience but I wont be visiting again.

I've just come back from Morocco Agadir, was fab!
So clean, this hotel is amazing! Beautiful, clean, pretty close to the beach, we walked to the beach everyday. The hotel pool is pretty good to. The evening entertainment at the hotel us really good - snake charmers, magic show, acrobats, etc! Really good! The shuttle bus is pretty good, cheap but even the taxi rides the tops it will be is 20Dirhams!
I had fab time! I did a camel ride, booked/sorted it with our Thomas Cook guide - that was an experience! Was a lot of fun!
Food is nice in hotel cheap, but was a shame didn’t really have real authentic Moroccan food!

Hello,
I just wanted to say that the hotel was great! I read a few bad reviews previously and was a bit anxious about it before I went. But when I arrived, I was absolutely amazed! What a great hotel. It's true that it isn't in the main hub and the hotel is a little quiet but that's all great because you get more attention and care from the staff etc.
Our room was brilliant! We had a massive lounge, bedroom, kitchen, Ensuite and balcony. Which sounds all normal but everything was really clean and the maids came to tidy every day.
The hotel is very big and the decor is lovely. The staff are also very helpful and friendly.
The location may not be ideal as other hotels are being built in the area but it wasn't a problem for us. Also the beach is a 10 min walk and taking a cab everywhere is fine especially because it costs around £1 per taxi journey.
Anyway, I would recommend it for holiday makers who are looking for a bit of peace and quiet. Agadir on the whole is on the quiet side.

Outstanding hotel with service to match!!
Cant believe this is only 3 star because the staff and facilities are akin to that of a 4 or 5 star, I really cannot say enough about the staff, they really made the trip to us, we used it as a base for travelling to other parts of morocco, the staff helped us with these arrangements and were nothing but professional.
The facilities were all of outstanding quality, the breakfast was a bit basic but had all the necessities, the massage is unmissable, the only thing I would say is that the location is a bit out of the main hub, but if you’re looking to stay somewhere not too close to the tourist traps you cant go wrong with this hotel...its 5 star in my opinion.

The hotel was beautiful, with very friendly, helpful staff.
The room was large, with a good balcony, we only had a room, no kitchen. The maid came in every day, but she didn't clean very well, I'm afraid. Be sure to leave all your dirty towels together. I left one on the bed by mistake, and she didn't replace it, only left 1 clean one!
Great spa, they do body scrubs, facials, massages, you name it. Cheap, too! I had a two-hour session, and it was only about £25. The girls speak very little English, but they really try to work with you to understand what you want.
There was a lot of building going on around the hotel, but it wasn't noisy at all. Food wasn't great, but we only ate breakfast there, anyway.
We wouldn't go back to Agadir in a hurry, not really much to do. We did take the two-day trip to Marrakesh, which was well worth it. We had a couple of little informational stops, and got to see the goats climbing the trees. Very good value, hotel and meals included, and we got to eat in the restaurant where The Man Who Knew Too Much was filmed.
Be warned, though, if you're uncomfortable with haggling, you'll have a hard time. The people in the Souks, and even in the shops in town, all try to get you into their shops.
You can't just walk around and look, really. If they see you're interested, then it's a hard sell. We were assured that they really weren't offended if you said no, but still, it was very hard to get used to.
French and Arabic are the languages, and they really did seem to appreciate it if you tried something in Arabic.
I wouldn't recommend Morocco to anyone who wasn't a bit adventurous. The culture is very, very different, and can be quite intimidating. I'm very glad we went, but I doubt that we'd go again.
