" I can't understand the negative... "

I can't understand the negative feedback some visitors have left. This was the most amazing hotel I have stayed in. Friendly staff who gave their upmost best to please everyone, worked exceptionally hard and very polite, good well prepared food, phenomenal views, great atmosphere, professional management. What more could one want. Yes, there are many steps but this is clearly advertised so why do people book before reading? Bodrum's hotels are all mainly built on slopes. The rooms are adequate and clean. Variety of food all day at different locations on the grounds. After 14 days, I hadn't tasted it all! Drinks no problem all day, on site entertainment included Turkish music, disco and the fantastic and very friendly Animation team. Hats off to Chris, who went out of his way to get to know everyone, welcoming them and ensuring no one is left out of the pool games. Bulent, General Manager was exceptionally to be praised, inspected the grounds all day to ensure the hotel delivered good service. The climate in Bodrum is great, not too hot (I have seen hotter) and no humidity. Shopping in town is a short and cheap ride away on the dolmus (bus) leaving the hotel every hour. None of us wanted to leave at the end of our stay and I would love to visit again especially as it is to be redecorated ready for the next season. Selamlar to Club Blue Dreams.....

" We stayed during October half term... "
Submitted By: Mr J Jeffries
We stayed during October half term and the resort was running on a bare minimum ready to be shut down for the winter. Food was repeated daily, ran out of snacks and soft drinks. Everything was shut or broken, no entertainment, only two canoes, no hot water, no snacks, no jacuzzi, no steam room, the list goes on and on.
I have stayed in better two star hotels. Did hear stories that things here can be almost four star, during July and August. Set in a steep cliff so make sure your fit for the climb back to your room.

" This is the worst 5 star hotel I have... "

This is the worst 5 star hotel I have ever stayed in for the last 20 years. On arrival we were greeted with the smell of raw sewage. There was no onsite entertainment, the food was disgusting and always cold when we complained we were told it was end of season.
So my question is, why take my money if that’s their attitude? We spent over £600 buying food and telephoning to be moved. We were offered a move at a cost of £100 per person but the hotel was rated 2 star. I can honestly say I would rate Blue Dreams as 1 star not 5.
There were Health and Safety issues all over the complex. The hose pipes left on stairs in the dark, live wires on wall light exposed, no fire policy or extinguishers evident or fire alarms.
The ala carte restaurants were all closed apart from a converted snack bar which smelt of sewage, not very appetizing.
I could write a book, needless to say I will NOT BE GOING TO TURKEY AGAIN!

We stayed here between 15 and 22 October. This hotel has got lots going for it... and lots not going for it!
If you struggle to climb stairs do not even think about going here, because it is built into the side of a mountain. There is an internet cafe, shop, indoor pool and gym area, Turkish Bath and 3 other pools dotted about. There is also a waterpark with a few slides. The hotel offers an hourly bus service to Bodrum charged at 12YTD return. This runs until 11pm.
Rooms: Our room was very basic. The shower kept leaking water on the bathroom floor, which caused a permanent smell and wet floor throughout our week long stay. I reported this... end result is to put some towels on the floor! On the last 2 nights of our stay, there was heavy rain, this caused water to come in to the room from underneath the front door! What an early morning surprise this was! Our rating: Poor
Food: The Buffet restaurant which serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner was poor. It was a struggle to find cutlery most of the time and not once did we manage to get a nice hot meal! At best the food was luke warm but even this is probably too much of a compliment.
There is a snack bar from 12 till 5 pm daily serving burgers, salad and Pizza. We along with many others ended up having this instead of buffet lunch as the quality was great.
The hotel offers 3 different A La Carte restaurants, Fish, Italian and Kebab. This has to be booked in advance and spaces were limited. We managed to have Fish and Kebab, both were very nice and next to the Snacks the best food around.
Altogether we would rate the food Average.
Entertainment: What entertainment??? Never happened because the ''budget had run out'' as we were told. Our Rating: Non existent.
Bars: There are 5 Bars in the hotel and one Tea Garden. There is an immaculate indoor Bar overlooking the main pool, this is one of the few things possibly worth 4/5 stars. The drinks available on All inclusive are Beer, Local spirits and Local Wines and Soft Drinks. All hot drinks are included. The hotel seemed to have replaced Coke with some sort of basic range for the last 3 days we were there. No music is played in the indoor bar and this causes a very funny atmosphere. Western drinks are very expensive and all drinks must be purchased after midnight and cost an arm and a leg! For 4 drinks we paid nearly £20! Our Rating: Average
Beach: The water was mainly calm, clear and warm! There are no sandy beaches around this part of Turkey, its all pebbles and rocks! There is some very nice decking built above the rocks. If you wish to swim you climb down a few steps in to the water from the decking or walk in the one small area of pebbles. This said, we really enjoyed the sea here and this must be one of the best things about this hotel! Our Rating: Good
Service: We have never seen anything like it! On day 1 we had to ring twice and ask a member of staff once to get our complimentary 2 bottles of water... 12 hours later we were still waiting so we asked the rep to sort it. It then happened!
On another occasion I asked reception to let me in our room as the keys had been locked inside by accident. They assured me to just go and wait by the room. 30 Minutes later I was still waiting! I then managed to get hold of a housekeeper who let me in. Our Rating: Poor
Overall: Turkey is exceptionally expensive... prices are the same as in the UK and Alcohol are even more expensive. If you want a cheap holiday buying lots of bargains this is not the place to be. The Blue Dreams in our opinion is at best 3 Star.

Booked through Teletext and got a fantastic deal and got all of the tickets promptly. Flew with Onur air, which as a nervous flyer I was concerned about, since if you look them up on the internet there are many articles about their poor safety standards. However the aircraft was an airbus and the flight was no different from any other budget airline, it wasn't fantastic, but you get what you pay for and there was certainly a consideration for safety.
The Club Blue dreams hotel was a nice hotel and very clean, our room was cleaned every day,. If you have difficulty walking it may not be for you as there are lots of steep steps, our room was at the back of the hotel and we were exhausted every time we got back!
The food was good and there was always plenty of choice. We went in early October and it seemed that the hotel had already began closing some of the facilities for the winter; two of the restaurants were shut, the Italian and the fish. You had to book three days in advance for the Turkish one, which we didn't realise until too late so that was a little disappointing. One other thing was that the hotel had a very European clientele, we were hoping for a few more English people to talk to, but nevertheless everyone was friendly.
The pool was lovely and so was the decking area right by the sea, very relaxing. The hotel is only a few miles outside of Bodrum and there is a regular shuttle bus from the hotel to Bodrum, which cost 6 Turkish lira per person. Although it was much cheaper to get the dolmus back which was 3 Turkish lira for 2!
Bodrum was lovely with its harbour boats, shopping and castle; however as a younger couple we had hoped it would be a bit livelier at night. Every bar we went in was practically empty and not as cheap as we had expected, some were like London prices! I expect in high season that this is not the case and that it is buzzing and vibrant and more deals to be had with the drinks due to the competition.
We also ventured to Gumbet, not too far away one evening and this was a bit more lively, but still quiet due to the time of the year.
Overall a good holiday, the weather was nice still well in the 30's and the hotel and resort were good. If I were to go to Turkey again I would go to Gumbet a bit more in season. If you like the quiet life this time of year would be perfect.

" Just got back from club blue dreams,... "

Just got back from club blue dreams, brilliant, went with my partner and two children one aged 15 and a three year old. Well did not see the 15 year old what with the internet cafe (that has Playstation 2, pool tables and snooker tables), amphitheatre and disco and everything else.
The three year old loved the kiddies pool and mini disco (was bit of a pain up and down the stairs to amphitheatre no slopes for buggies) there was a lift but closed at 10.30 Obi, Snoopy, Fattie and Archie plus the girls were brilliant as the animation team. Must do one of Archie’s step aerobic classes makes you use muscles you thought you never had.
Hotel was very nice the slides in the water park (also on site) were very fast, be prepared to loose yr swimsuit and water up your nose. The way it is set out very relaxing the tea garden nice, plenty going on around the main pool during the day or you can go down by the sea and relax on the jetty with all the big scatter cushions, or the beach where all the water sports are.
Overall this was brilliant compared to the Yellow Rose who we booked with on line with Right Holidays will never use them again. We were moved from in Gumbet do not go to yellow rose. We will be definitely be considering going back to Club Blue Dreams.

This Hotel was excellent value and in a stunning position overlooking the bay and Islands. It is rated as 5 star but I'd say it was more 4 star.

The food was good and drinks plentiful. It is on a slope so try and get a balcony room on level 2 as the steps up to other levels can be quite daunting. Bodrum was a short bus (Dolmus) ride away but it was like a building site when we were there. I'd recommend a boat trip around the coast, well worth it. We paid just £229 for 10 nights all inclusive with in flight meals and transport to and from airport. It was via Teletext online. For that money you could not have a week in Brighton and certainly not with good food and all your drinks thrown in.

The rooms were very clean but you need a balcony otherwise you are left with a room with a small window which can feel claustrophobic. I understand from others that there is plenty of entertainment but it was just opening when we arrived so cannot comment on that.
