Was OK - quiet apartments away from the beach. Small cafe and bar on site which were manned by lovely staff.
Apartments are small, 1 bedroomed, but very clean. Air-con is a rip-off and so is the TOM system (electronic armbands, either the manager doesn't trust his staff or the guests)
Shop at front door was expensive, but then you're a captive audience, even compared to the shops on the sea-front. Many goods were far cheaper at home.
Overall nice enough for a week, wouldn't book to go back but would be OK if allocated on arrival.

Not a very nice place...!
Being a mum I always try to review everything I can about holidays before we go ahead and book them and I did find it a little strange that most of the reviews for this hotel were made in 2007 and prior, none for 2008 at all.
My partner, my two year old daughter and I were meant to say at the Paloma Bitez Apartments for 7 nights mid September. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. When we booked our holiday we did request a ground floor apartment due to the fact that with a small child stairs conjure up all types of problems. We fully understood that these request weren’t guaranteed however we did think that this would be possible due to us holidaying late in the season however, on arrival we were allocated a 1st floor apartment in which we accounted our first problem, trying to get her pushchair up the staircase. The staircase was particularly narrow and very steep and also L shaped. It proved tremendously difficult for us to manoeuvre the pushchair around the bend, to the degree that my partner and I had to hold it over the banisters to get it around the corner, proving to not only be dangerous for us, but for anyone passing by underneath.
We didn't find the room to be very clean either! The cutlery was bent and tarnished therefore we were unable to use it. There was even a used baby’s nappy in the bin under the kitchen sink. The final straw for us was with the bathroom which we found to be particularly unsafe. Within the first ½ an hour of arriving I decided to take a shower. The water spurted from the showerhead in all directions including straight into the wall light which was situated at the side of the bathroom mirror. When I looked in it there were 3 rather large dead bugs in it!! I stopped showering straight away, dressed and went to reception to enquire if it would be at all possible to change room but was told by reception that the hotel was in fact fully booked.
Due to all of these reasons my partner and I did not feel happy with staying in this hotel and within an hour of arriving made enquires to seek suitable accommodation and checked out. When checking out we were asked if we wanted to change room (?) which we found a little odd as this is what I had previously requested.
Aside of this hotel, I can recommend Bitez. It’s very quaint and quiet and you don't get hassled as much as you do in Gumbet to buy from their shops and eat in their restaurants.
We enjoyed our holiday to Turkey the only regret we have it that we could be more positive about this awful hotel!!
