Okaliptus Hotel Okaliptus Hotel Studios Reviews Okaliptus Hotel Studios Reviews Okaliptus Hotel Studios Reviews

Away from the hustle and bustle of a busy resort, Okaliptüs has its own private section of sandy beach, so you will be able to hear the gentle waves of the Aegean sea lapping the beach as you sit on your balcony or terrace. Friends, families and couples will all enjoy reclining by the pool and wandering through the tangerine trees in the well maintained gardens. May be unsuitable for the less mobile due to number of steps in complex and uneven road down to hotel.

Wonderful Bitez Bay - beautiful, quiet (last couple of weeks of October), Okaliptus was comfortable with very nice working staff. The food was good, plenty of it, a good variety, and presented nicely. The rooms, while not overly clean, were pretty, comfortable and roomy. Our 6 year old had a great time on the beach, talking with the extremely nice staff and other guests.
The glaring problem is the large number of wild cats sitting, prowling, and begging around the eating area! It wouldn't be too bad unless one has even a mild allergy to cats. There were also several dogs, left behind by summer tourists and/or workers, roaming the beach, the boardwalk and the hotel grounds. A bit too much!!

But in all, my wife, son, and I had a wonderful stay and will most certainly consider staying at the Okaliptus again.

I think that the 2 comments about the Hotel Okalyptus below do NOT relate to the Hotel in Bitez. For a start the Okalyptus in Bitez does not do all inclusive, it is not in the middle of nowhere because there are plenty of other hotels, apartments, restaurants etc around it. We have just returned from our second time there and love it. The rooms are good - the only gripe I have is that they are all ground floor and only have terraces which look out onto a whitewashed wall. The terraces are pretty and covered in flowers but because we like to people watch they do not suit us. The breakfasts are the best I have ever had in Turkey and consist of rolls, jam, honey, yogurt, meat, cucumber, tomatoes, eggs etc. My husband is a fussy eater but he found plenty to eat. The hotel is very pretty with lots of flowers and is spotlessly clean and is literally a minutes walk to the beach which is also very clean and has plenty of sunbeds. You do not have to pay for the sunbeds - the hotel just likes you to purchase a drink or a snack and you can stay there all day. The music from the bar can be a bit intrusive (we like a beach which is quiet) and if you feel the same you can always move along the beach a bit. Another think I like about the Okalyptus are the big cushions and hammocks under the trees between the beach and the hotel - wonderful to sit on at mid day to get out of the sun. This is a lovely hotel well worth a visit.

Do NOT stay here, it is in the middle on nowhere.

Overall this hotel was not somewere you should visit.

Food: if you like bread and jam you are ok if you want anything else gook luck in asking as they dont speek english at all. Dinner consisted of cold chips, tiny hamburgers and soup from the night befor. Tee was all pasta, rice, stuffed pepers and chicken wings. There was no variety, also the al cart restarunt wasnt even open.

The hotel advertises a mini bar they should advertise an empty frige in room! This can be filled at a cost. There is no telephone in the room ither.

A turkish massarge is also advertised in the leaflet this is not availabl.

There is only 1 bar throughout the hotel wich serves only Beer, Wine, Vodka and fanta this closes at 11 every night.

The Pool is the only good thing about this hotel, there is also a jacuzzi.

Rooms: We were given a family room even though we booked a twin, theres a dark carpet on the floor, and the wardrobe doors dont close, we even had to build half the draws as all the bottoms had fallen out!!

The hotel is advertised as a 4* the rep there advisd us that it didnt even have 1* so i dont know were this evaluation came from??

I Hope this review helps you.

This was one of my favorite holidays in Turkey. I give it an 8 for the very small resort - Bitez and food is not such that you could be enraptured by it. The hotel is pretty amazing for it's star rating though - the rooms are big and spacious. Beds are big, there is a fridge, TV and a big size dressing table which I used to work on my laptop (I know that's not what most people are looking to do on holiday, but for me a decent size table is important and there was one). There is a very nice garden around the hotel and there are giant pillows scattered under the palm trees at the back of the hotel beach, as well as hammocks and swings which people use to relax during the day and to take their drinks at by night. The resort itself is pretty tiny. If you know Marmaris marina, this is probably a quarter of it and there isn't many discos or anything like that - you would have to take a local taxi (cheap) to the nearby bay for that. Quite a few restaurants though, most attached to hotels and doing pretty much the same food, but aren't all Turkish tourist places like that? Food in the hotel itself was very reasonable, even good - as usual the problem is the variety is not that great, but my thinking with Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia is - if it's edible, it's good. Lots of salad, decent meat/fish 3-4 nights a week, some fruit/watermelon. Breakfast - the usual stuff: tomatoes, olives, eggs, feta cheese. The beach was very nice. In general, a nice, quiet place - you wouldn't hear much music, not many places to go to at all either for shopping or entertainment - you would have to go to Bodrum by taxi. And for these reasons you get a better, cleaner, less crowded beach.
