family friendly
from OKAussie
This hotel was once grand when it was first opened, but it has lost its sheen. It has a lovely big pool with a gorgeous vista. The room had a minimalist style, a king bed, small balcony, but a very shabby bathroom which needs attention. A bit of interior design would help this hotel i.e. pictures or stylish bedspreads rather than drab curtains. Good position, nice & helpful staff (though their English not up to scratch). You can use the internet anytime which is useful. Plenty of food at breakfast, though omelette & orange juice are an extra charge. The hotel was almost empty which made it seem a little eery, but I imagine when its full, the atmosphere could be wonderful. Definitely a family spot.
to be honest, i'd say it was perfect.

The pool is the best feature

We stayed here with Explore! on a family holiday. The hotel was our base for the week and we travelled around the area doing things like canoeing, hiking and sea kayaking. The Club Phellos Hotel is located at the top end of the centre of Kas close to numerous good restaurants. The rooms are simple, reasonably clean and air conditioned. The Hotel's bar and restaurant are both good. We only ate breakfasts there as there's so many other places to go in Kas, but these were good quality and the buffet offered a wide choice of local foods. The bar has a free full size pool table and doesn't charge very much more than surrounding places for drinks. The Turkish Efes lager beer is choice but seek out the dark version too for some variety. The Hotel's pool is the undoubtedly the reason to stay here though. It is very clean and well looked after, doesn't get too busy and the staff will bring you an aforementioned Efes whenever it gets too hot. They also have a water flume for very quick cooling down. A great place for kids and adults!
Water is forbidden!

Have just returned from a 2 week stay, the hotel was lovely on the surface, perfectly positioned the public areas, and pool very nice indeed. However the rooms were a little 'tired' in need of a face lift. I was unable to use my balcony as the large air con unit from the bar and my air con unit blasted heat straight onto my balcony. The so called mini bar was astronomically priced and you were 'forbidden' to buy your own water etc to put in the fridge having to pay a 10 lira daily penalty. I was with 2 children, the temperature stayed in the mid 40's throughout they needed to be constantly hydrated so I was reduced to hiding bottles of water in my suit case! Whilst the staff were friendly and helpful I felt that this was only because they wanted me to run up the biggest tab I could and became less friendly when they realised that this was not my intention. I must emphasise that this was unlike the rest of Kas we had a fantastic holiday The Sun restaurant really nice and The Jazz Bar fab. The excursions we had with Xanthos travel were definately a highlight of the holiday and I would strongly reccommend using them
Perfect Views, Central Location, Awesome Pool with sliding board.
from RockyandCazbun
My husband and I stayed here for 8 days. The hotel is very charming like a meditterrean villa. We entered into the lobby and immediatly saw the beautiful outdoor terrace/restaurant to our right with the gorgeous view overlooking the sea and steps leading down to a clean and spacious pool area eqipped with a big curvy sliding board that dunks you into its own mini pool. Our room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated and our balcony overlooked the pool with a spectacular view of the sea and mountains. The minibar drinks were quite expensive and always kept stocked. The hotel is in a central location right in town and within walking distance to all the shopping and dining areas. The hotel arranged a rental car for us, as the sandy swimming beach areas were about ten minutes down the road(by car). The hotel is right in front of the sea but not beach area. It was very clean, very relaxing, beautiful indoor pool, they have THEIR OWN turkish bath and spa inside the hotel, gorgeous indoor pool, complimentary breakfast..... it was absolutely perfect!!! NO COMPLAINTS!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!

We were put into a damp & badly in need of a refurbish room overlooking the car park, completely overshadowed by trees, so that no light could get in. There was no chairs on the balcony. We requested another room and said we could have it if we paid extra which we reluctantly did. We were moved to a marginally better room with a much needed fridge, which we used for water etc as the temperatures were over 40c. We were stopped in reception a few days into our holiday and asked what was in our bag. We said, two cans of lager and a bottle of water. We were told to hand it over as we were not allowed to bring anything into the hotel and that we had a mini bar in our room. We did not hand it over and when we got to our room, our fridge had been turned into a so called "mini bar". It now contained two small cans of lager, a can of coke, a fanta and a bottle of water. Hardly a mini bar. The prices of these contents were at least 500% more expensive than outside of the hotel. In fact, for the price of one bottle of water in the fridge, we could buy the equivalant of 10 bottles in the shop 10 metres outside the hotel. This is not a posh hotel in London or New York, it is a tourist hotel in the middle of nowhere. So we continued to use the fridge for our water. A few days later, we returned to find a notice taped to the fridge advising us that if we put anything in it, we would be charged 10 Turkish Lira per day. We were incensed and thereafter boycotted purchasing anything further from this hotel, ie, drinks at the pool or in the bar. The resort of Kas is a lovely, cosmopolitan place with the hotel only a few minutes walk to all the bars and restaurants. This hotel needs to compete not be dictatorial.
Fantastic staff!

This is a 3 star hotel right in the heart of Kas, close to all of the shops, restaurants and just across the road from the sea. Although the rooms themselves are a little tired and could do with an update - they are clean and comfortable and everything works well (including the showers). The pool is excellent, very clean and the water slides are fun for everyone. What really shines through is the fantastic service provided by the staff who are extremely attentive and friendly. They really do go the extra mile. Kas itself is lovey, with something to offer every age group and although not an obvious choice for a family with young children and teenagers we had a wonderful trip.
Hotel Club Phellos - great hotel with excellent service

We stayed in Kas at the Hotel Club Phellos for 8 days as part of a small party of 16 with children / teenagers. Service is excellent, staff are very friendly, love kids, and always smiling. The food is buffet style or a la carte, reasonably priced. The two swimming pools are very clean, the poolside bar is excellent, serving meals as well, with brilliant staff. Rooms are quite large, most have balconies with sea views. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the town and 2 minutes walk from the sea.
Nice place, great Turkish baths
from mie1972
Just back from a couple of weeks stopping in the Hotel Phellos. Its located about 3-4 mins walk from the harbour and shopping streets where most of the restaurants and bars are, so very handy. Hotel is in good condition, kept clean and tidy, with a good pool area and nice breakfast area outside and inside. Turkish Bath in the hotel meant always plenty of hot water, rooms were OK - good but not great. Food was fine - we only had breakfast there as so many restaurants in Kas to choose from. Other great thing was late check out - our return flight wasn't till 5am, we had the room until we left for the airport at 11.55pm. Kas itself is a nice place, not too big but enough there to keep you occupied for a couple of weeks. No nightclubs as such but plenty of bars/cafes. No sandy beach and steep climbs so not for kids, but thats one of the things that makes it so good. Would defintely recommend this hotel if planning on a visit to Kas.
Treated perfect!!

Hotel: Built in the hillside we had beautiful views from the hotel restaurant and pool side of the sea. 1 indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools and a flume! - Pool side bar for when you are peckish ... and a group of staff that waited on you whilst you sunbathed! - fresh towels provided by pool side everyday. The hotel was very clean and the staff took pride in keeping it that way! The rooms were of a far size with television, aircon and mini bar (great when you wake up in the night thirsty - tempting!!). Again the rooms were very clean, we even had fresh flowers on the bed! Best bit and the reason why we will be returning to the hotel is the staff, especially reception and bar staff! - We were treated like kings & queens, they couldnt do enough for you ... and they enjoyed doing it too! So friendly and took a lot of time to get to know and look after you. Resort - Kas: A very quiet resort right on the harbour, with plenty of boat trips to various islands including the sunken city and Meis a Greek island. There are also lots of restaurants and bars scattered around town but no real night life, so bear that in mind! If you love to shop then there are plenty of small shops that sell brick-brac of Turkey, ceramic and clothes. A lot of handmade jewellery, and also the market on a Friday all-day for those that like a barter with the locals. Best restaurant we found was 'Smileys', so try out their food! There is only a pebble beach so if your looking for sand then a car is needed to travel about the island, black sand can be found on a beautiful long stetch about 1 1/2 hours drive. Wouldnt say this area is made for young kids as there really isnt anything to occupy them unless they like to be in the hotel pool for their whole stay as there isn't much else for them to do. = Defiantly a couples, chilled holiday!!
