the reception staff were fantastic very helpful and always on hand if you needed them the room was nice BUT not cleaned enough when we were there the location is a bit out of the way for us but there was a bus to resort center. the bar staff and the dj were the worst staff we have ever encountered but i suppose if we were female it would have made all the difference first time in green world and glad to say last next time we are in turkey(oct) we will make sure we get the prince apts were all guests are treated the same male and female.

We've just returned from the Greenworld apartments after choosing off the internet and the apartments are everything they look in the pictures - set in a beautiful setting up in the hills which made for a lovely chilled relaxing holiday with fantastic clear blue skies and sunshine all week. The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them and the apartments were spotless.
The pool area was lovely with a nice big pool, plenty of sunbeds which never seemed to get too packed and was therefore very comfortable.
We were self catering but never once cooked indoors, we'd have food and snacks around the pool which was very nice and out in the town of Icmeler on the night, which again was very nice....we never had a bad meal all week.
We walked a couple of time into Icmeler from the apartments and it took 45 minutes which didn't bother us because we like walking but the apartments are at the last stop of the bus into Icmeler therefore it's not a problem if you hate walking.
Some of the pubs in Icmeler will even arrange a taxi to collect and drop you off at the end of the night if you eat/drink in their bar.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday at Greenworld and Icmeler and highly reccommend this lovely place.

Lovely resort away from the busy life!!! Apartments lovely but not quite enough equipment for full self catering. They only supply you with one roll of toilet paper (not quite enough when there were 4 of us!!) They opertate a card system where you buy food/drink/internet access etc on the resort and pay at the end which we found helpful so no need to carry money on you at apartments. Amazing scenery. Food on the resort ok but not as cheap as Iclemer town. Staff very friendly (sometimes over friendly). To get to town you catch a Dolmus (every 10 to 15 minutes) which is outside the aprtments and it costs 1 lira per person (40p) and takes about 5 minutes its as easy as that!!!!
All in all a very pleasant holiday weather was amazing. Not sure if we woulg go back as it is a bit remote but cannot knock Greenworld at all.
Will definately be going back to Turkey next year but will be saying at the next resort which is called Turunc.

Oh my god what a holiday........ Me and 2 friends went and a 3 year old and it was the best holiday we have ever had. The staff are amazing especially (Menic and Edi) there is so much to do and they are fantastic with the kids as well as the adults.
We met some amazing people who will be friends for life and the hotel was so clean and tidy. The only downfall is the card system you end up spending a fortune so you really do have to watch what you spend but because your having such a good time you forget.
The staff work so hard there and i want to be back there now!!!!! everyone deserves a holiday like this!

We've just returned from a 2 week holiday staying at Greenworld, from May 12 to 26. It is by far the best hotel in Icmeler. We were very impressed with it. We are a family of 6 and had a 2 bedroom apartment with a double balcony. It was very clean and had 2 bathrooms with 2 showers which was very handy. The location was great, and it didn't matter at all that it was on the outskirts of Icmeler - in fact the very last hotel. A domlus mini bus came every 10 minutes and took us into the resort - a 5 minute journey, which cost 1 Lira each.
The hotel itself is so wonderful that many days we just stayed there all day. The older kids loved being in the large, clean pool or the jacuzzi pools, whilst the baby enjoyed the small pool or sheltered play area. There were always plenty of sun loungers free. The hotel right next door had 2 huge water slides and we could go and use them for free. We went to the beach once, but the kids weren't impressed with the shingles, so we went back to Greenworld and they played in the pools all day.
The internet shop in Greenworld was also a hit with the kids. Greenworld also has a small shop, but it was a bit pricey. There is another shop about 10 minutes walk on your right, or there's a bigger supermarket in Icmeler itself.
I'd recommend having a Turkish Bath at Greenworld as its private and clean unlike the public ones in Icmeler. Have it at the beginning of your holiday, so you get a lovely even tan!
The debit card system there didn't bother us at all - you get your total balance with every receipt. We paid it all at the end, or some people paid daily.
We dined at the restaurant in Greenworld many times, and the Turkish Night BBQ is well worth it. The food was excellent. But we also enjoyed walking around Icmeler in the evenings choosing somewhere to eat.
Last but not least - the waiters! What a fantastic bunch. Went out of their way every day to play with the kids, and especially our baby. The staff are so, so nice in Greenworld, that our baby thought she had new uncles! Temel and his team really lookd after us very well. They even came to stay goodbye on the morning we left. We miss you all - Temel, Musti, Mehmet, Carlos, DJ Minic & others. The staff show in the evening is brilliant to watch.
What can I say - back next year!!!

Returned from our travels a couple of days ago and really enjoyed ourselves! It was me & my partners first aboard holiday together and our first time in Turkey. It is so beautiful and the apartments are placed perfectly.
The card system is annoying, but we didn't put any money on the card and paid at the end of the week, no trouble occurred and we didn't pay for anything we didn't know about. However, we didn't spend all that much in the apartments and the staff do pay you a lot less attention for it. This didn't bother us though and it let us enjoy our time together.
Icmeler is a beautiful place, only a half hour walk from the apartments. The walk to Marmaris was worth it for the sights, though advisable to do it early due to the heat. On the other side of Icmeler is Turunc, again breathtaking. Can either get the bus or boat taxi, do both as both are entertaining!
At night we went into town, for a good Turkish meal try the Black Sea or the wine bar en route to the town. Also the curry house is excellent valve and great food.

My girlfriend and I have just returned from our first holiday to Turkey. The Greenworld apartments were great for relaxing as it is in a nice quiet location in Icmeler.
The staff in the bar/restaurant are great. They treat you really well & we ended up having a party with them in the bar on our final night. Don't worry about the card system, just make sure you keep your reciepts.
In Icmeler they run buses called "Dolmus" these cost 1lire each, about 40p, and takes about 2mins into town.
We would recommend the apartments with out a doubt and look forward to returning next year.

Hotel and reception staff very helpful, good facilities at hotel but it is a distance to Icemelar town. It takes two buses to get into Marmaris which is about twenty mins if the buses are regular or quicker to use local taxis.
Good fun pubs in town. Bar staff are very helpful when you first arrive but that quickly changes when people realise just how easy it is to overspend because of the card system that operates there. Even small children can use the card because staff memorize card numbers and add whatever they have onto the bill. Food and drink purchased in the hotel shop is not allowed by the pool which we found to be quite disgusting as we were on a self catering holiday. We found that we were spending over a hundred pounds a day. Apparently when queried they just produce receipts that you can’t argue with because they all have your card number on. My advice is to be very careful when using the card on the complex. The bar staff became very aggressive towards my family and we have lodged a complaint with Thompson.
We will not be revisiting this hotel simply because of the bar staff, but will return to Turkey as it is a beautiful country.

Went to Greenworld in Aug, 6 adults and 3 children ages 2 to 13 had a brilliant time.
Staff so helpful and friendly. The card system you use is useful but keep an eye on the number of times kids use it as you only give your number in.
You can get dolmus into Icmeler for 1 lira runs all day until late at night. Christine’s chippy brill all English and the Simpsons bar too.
Young ones will love the pop in bar for the entertainment. Definitely going back next year.

What can I say!!! A great holiday...
The apartments themselves are absolutely spotless, and for once the aircon wasn't on a stupid timer and worked almost too well (kept waking up freezing to death). The facilities were the usual you would expect: a 2 ring hob, fridge with small freezer compartment but the godsend was the toaster.
Let’s face it all most people ever use is the fridge to keep drinks cold. But like I said the toaster was quality as usually you have to hire these if they are available at all and I like a bit of jam in the morning. We were on the top floor facing the mountain/road. As the road only leads to Greenworld and the Julian forest next door there is very little noise. The balconies on the top do have a slightly higher wall though than the others, but the missus who is 5'2 could see over it easily enough so not too restrictive. The security for the hotel is good too, cameras everywhere.
The pool area was fantastic and the best I saw while I was there and the 2 jacuzzi's were perfect for cooling down after a hard day doing nothing in the heat. The main pool however is not suitable for small children if they don’t swim. It was about 5ft deep for the whole of it though this I thought in general was quite a good idea.
There is a small kid’s pool and a play area. There are also several other facilities on site. An internet cafe with ps2's as well 5tyl/£2 per hour. A hairdressers which also do Turkish shaves, I had my head and face shaved for £7 and it is fantastic, just wish they did it here. A tattooist and the shop.
The shop really is mega expensive when you compare it to town. My advise would be if you want a tea/coffee on the first morning when you wake up is take a bit of each with you The supermarket in town Tansas (off the dolmus take a left and keep walking , or ask the driver and sometimes they will drop you outside) is dirt cheap, though basic. Don’t forget as well they only supply one loo roll.
The bar/restaurant at the hotel is ok. The food I thought was reasonably priced but I would not say cheap and of reasonable quality. Though other reviews have said it is cheaper than town I would definitely not agree. It was good enough if you were having a quiet night by the pool. The staff around bar were quite funny at times. The staff on the whole were a good bunch who more often than not where quite hilarious though I don’t think they realised it. Overall they look after you well and will go out of their way to comply with any request you may have.
For the blokes if you want to do your bit for Anglo Turkish relations they play football -yes you heard me 7 -a-side on the pitch about 2mins walk away. Though you do have to pay its only 10tyl/£4 per person to contribute to the cost of pitch. It is usually guests versus staff and a good way to meet other guests as well as a good laugh. Believe me they do not like losing. The games are played at around midnight /12.30 am to avoid the heat just for those who envisaged themselves dying in the midday sun.
The hotel next door the Julien Forest has a couple of water slides, my teenage sons along with others used to go around there with their towels and thoroughly enjoy themselves too when they needed a change of scene away from dads prying eyes.
The position at the top of the valley is a blessing, there is absolutely no noise at night from anywhere so a good nights sleep is guaranteed, you can’t even hear the call to prayer. The dolmus stops right outside the hotels pool entrance and is 1ty/ 40p into town and runs every 5 mins or so up till about 1.00am
I can't go without recommending this restaurant - The Set Steakhouse. Just as you get of the dolmus its directly over the road in front on the corner (opposite corner to the old car) It is fantastic, the best steak I have had anywhere. I had just the fillet with garlic butter on one occasion and you get what you ask for - a 9oz steak with not a gramme of fat cooked to perfection. With salad, chips or baked spud for £9 can’t recommend this place highly enough superb.
For watches visit Ali at the watch centre in the bazaar; best ones I have seen in the resort and an automatic with ALL the functions working should set you back around 25-30 pounds.
A visit to the Wednesday market is also essential.
The Dalyan checkout excursion if you’re with Thomson is a good day out. If like us you were coming back to Birmingham (Bristol flight to had to leave then as well) we had 1/2 hour to shower before dinner then the transfer - 2 1/2 hours before you get anywhere with all the pick ups if you’re at Greenworld so you may as well just take the transfer. Not very good value at all and the whole day felt a little rushed, not the relaxing day that the rep tries to sell. Though I would recommend the day out but book with someone near the beach during your hols as you bound to get a better deal and probably a better day out.
Overall I would recommend the Greenworld and will be going back (something I have never done before).
