Can Garden Resort

we have returned from can garden resort on the 9th of july. the only fault we could find was the brakefast and thats because there was hardly enything "normal" to eat it was like "scrambled egg with mince" but the anamation team was amazing they got on with you and they put there heart and soul in to there jobs. The rooms are very good and looked after the cleaners are very good and they are never short of ideas (pettles on bed). There is one more problem the bar staff are very misrable i even found my self singing "if your happy and you know it" the location for me couldent be falted 5 mins to the beach and 5 mins to the bazzar. heard a lot about the mosque but i only heard it on the first day then i didn't here it. all in all it was an amazing holiday and would go next year

Stayed at the Can Garden Resort, Side, Antalya in June 2011, it was our second stay at the resort after our first holiday here in Sep 2010 and definatly going back next year, no doubt about it!!!
everything you could ask for from a holiday...
the hotel is great, everything you need! extremely clean and well kept, all staff are friendly and welcoming, food and beverages are lovely and presentation is brilliant.
Cant wait to go back next year xxx

The hotel its self was great , really clean and spotless and the staff members were mostly ok. Although i would not recommened going with a family with young children , the staff members are constantly picking up your child kissing them on the lips and not leaving them alone , my children often got scared of the male staff members always wanting to kiss and cuddle them.The animation staff had some really nice people although i felt some were very rude , i travelled with a large group with 3 children in thr group , one member of the animation staff would constantly swear infront of the children , speak about sex infront of them and just generally be rude infront of them. They would also come over to our sun lounger not speak but sit and smoke beside us.This was only ONE member of staff who was male , we found him to be very sleazy also with other younger girls in the complex. Every other member of the animation team was lovley and couldnt fault them on a thing.The food was standard and most nights youd be able to eat something from the large selection that you could eat , again my children struggled with the 4 options they had in the kids section. The food was catered around germans and many nights were the same.The layout of the hotel is comfy and great , a place where you can just relax ... if you can get away from the annoying gold jewllwer who had a shop in the hotel , many nights we told him we are not intrested he would not take that for an answer , would constantly pester you follow you around , would be lurking at the pool waiting to pounce on a new face.He was rude and made us all feel very uncomfortable , i would not walk past him without my husband there as he would not leave me alone. Depending on where you were located in the hotel you would either get a great nights sleep- or no sleep , due to the nearby mosque it would wake you up during the night and often into the morning , the beach is just a short drive away in the bus and i would recommend it as its good just to get away from the hotel in generall.There is some shops nearby but be prepared to be annoyed and haggled at. Many of the staff members over priced but when you reasoned with them they got offended and wanting you out as soon as possible. All in all the hotel was fine , i would not recommened to families or young couples.

My family and I have just returned back from the Can Garden Resort. I was a little dubious as what to expect with the conflicting reviews. A holiday is what you make of it and the hotel is spotless. The hotel is over six years old and is clean and well deserves the four stars that it has been rewarded.
Lets begin, the entrance and reception area is grand with chandliers and a lobby bar with comfy seating area. On arrival your cases are taken upto your room for you once you have managed to locate your room without the need to drag the cases around not having a clue where you are going. Tipped the bellboy for helping as with three cases, a pram and a two year old isn't easy.
The Lobby bar open times are 10.30am until 6pm. There is a terrace bar on the same level opened until midnight. In the restaurant level (B), there was plenty of choice and the waiters are helpful, attentive to you and your family regardless of your nationality. The head chef checks that all the food is upto his standard which I think this is fantastic! They have baked icecream alaska...need to see for yourself. But impressive!
There is a free grey Can Garden bus thats runs frequently from the hotel to the private beach and beach fronted snack bar. This is nice if you fancy a change from the hotel restaurant or location. The beach is a nice stroll away if you fancy a walk. There's shops around the corner if you fancy barrattering with the shop assitants. Had a late breakfast out in one of the local bars as a treat -just to taste heinz beans rather than dry beans. Wish I had not bothered. Can Garden just needs heinz beans and I'd give it a 5 star.
There is a small children's pool. As I had a two year old who loves the pool I think they need a bigger pool area for just small children with their parents. There is a pool in the mini club however he was a little too young for this club. The Mini club staff were great with the children and tried to keep them entertained whatever their languages.
Please upgrade the children's play area a little as the sand needed changing in the sandpit. But slide, swing, play house and seesaw are fine.
There was a main pool, one with slides that had set times which I just loved. Me and my husband were like children again would race down the slides and cause tidal waves.
Rooms cleaned daily, new towels. Mini bar stocked up Saturdays and Tuesday. If you needed any extra then this could be arranged if you asked at reception or one of the head honchos. My husband was kept awake my the Mosque on a few occasions, this is part of their religion and did not spoil his or my holiday one bit.
Hope this is helpful to you as wanted to let you know my thoughts. The food is delicious, the hotel is grand, the staff are friendly and will go out of their way to make your holiday the best. The entertainment staff are funny, there's plenty to join in like darts, water aerobics, teenage football, boules etc if you want to join in...and if you don't they'll leave you alone if you want to just sunbathe.
The waiter's make your meal times enjoyable, they remember what drinks you like, entertain the children if need be. They provide A1 service which my whole family thought deserved tipping.

Have just come back from can garden 4 days ago,like a lot of people i was put off by some of the reviews but not to worry it was fantastic as long as you realise this is turkey and they can be very pushy when out and about. The hotel was fab and even though i am from scotland and they think you are german witch gets on your nerves a bit they soon get used to you and are very polite.Our rep with thomsons was Lee he was great would do anything for you and always about. If you want to buy any jewellrey go into side to brilliant jewellers our rep organized it really good, stay away from the one in the hotel they only rent from hotel, my sister and my friend got cheated when they bought something, he converted it from pounds to euro and over charged them 150 more than he should have, only did he give it back we they challenged him so be where.
All in all great hotel, great staff,good food loads of drink would go back again

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Can Garden Resort. Theres 3 of us in our family - myself, husband and 8 year old son, and we all throughly enjoyed it.
The hotel is absolutely fantastic. The staff cant do enough to help you and are extremely friendly and work really hard. Rooms are a nice size and cleaned daily. The only downside was that there wasnt any english speaking tv channels. The food was amazing and a real highlight for us. There was plenty of choice and something different each night we were there to chose from. The all inclusive deal is fab cos you can basically get food at most times of the day with even a late breakfast and midnight snacks option.
The beach is a pleasant short stroll away or you can take the free minibus if you prefer, but we always preferred the walk. The beach is amazing too and the hotel has its own beach bar there where you can also get free drinks and food. Any imported drinks you have to pay extra for, but we were happy with local beer and soft drinks.
We went on 3 excursions through Thompson which were all very enjoyable. They did keep changing the times of ours at short notice though, so keep an eye on that. We highly recommend the Troy waterpark which was a brilliant day out, and we also did the market and waterfalls trip, and the fire of antolia show.
Entertainment wise the team do try really hard. Some nights they bring acts in which were really good, and some nights its the entertainment team putting on a show which isnt as good, but something to watch. Not much else going on in the evenings in the local vicinity, although its not far to get the dolmus into Side if you want a bit more action.
Altogether a fantastic holiday and we would def go back again.

Myself and a friend went to can garden resort in May 2009 and as soon as we returned were booking again for the september 2009. In the september i took my parents along to see how fab it was, well they enjoyed it more than we did they were surprised at how friendly everyone was and how fantastic everything is. Mum having a bad back didnt like the beds but couldnt fault anything else. The Animation team entertained us every single night, they get alot of bad reviews but its because the visitors dont really join in with the clapping cheering and dancing. We did and enjoyed it! The bar staff were all really nice even the manager came out and spoke to lots of people to see if we were happy. Im going back in June 2010 and i hope nothing has changed, this is one of those hotels i will be going back to every year and then have a big holiday later in the year. Please can i say a massive thank you to all the staff at can garden for making us welcome and enjoying our stay. Lovely location not far from bars, kebab shops and interesting clothes and bag shops. The location however is still very quiet. Couples and Families will enjoy this the most but even the singletons will still have a fantastic holiday. For you party goers, the animation team do take you out on saturday nights to the local club, which is expensive drink, so use your all inclusive before you go and get hammered!!! Enjoy your holiday at Can Garden Resort...x... I DID!!!!

Our first time in Turkey and very impressed with the hotel. The whole area caters mainly for German's but there are people from everywhere. I heard Russians, met Dutch, Belgians, Finnish a real mix. Everyone speaks English so its no problem. Didn't need my GCSE German at all!
Hotel was spotless and room was fantastic. The restaurant was amazing. Massive choice of food. Mainly caters for German tourists so if your staple diet is pizza, chicken nuggets and chips then you are in trouble. But if you can eat veg, fruit and a variety of meat then you will be in your element.
Beach is a 15 min walk, not so good in 40 degree+ heat. Better to get the minibus which runs every hour. The icing on the cake is the beach area where the hotel runs. Here you can get a sun lounger and continue to get food/drinks so you don't have to fork out.
Evening entertainment was a bit poor. The German's seemed to like it but I found it to be a bit cheesy.
Kids club was terrible. Its just a wood shed with no air con. I never saw anyone going to the "teenage club".
Don't bother booking excursions via Thomson. They are cheaper outside and you can book them pretty much everywhere.
I thoroughly recommend this hotel and would happily go back.
Lastly forget Manvgat waterfall. Huge disappointment. Its nothing special at all.

Just returned from can garden,rooms very clean and modern, air conditioned,towels changed every day,beach towels are also provided free of charge and changed everyday if so wished.The restaurant is kept spotlessly clean and the food is not too bad,a bit repetative but hey it is turkey.Staff very helpful and friendly nothing too much trouble any problems and it is sorted srtaight away.Animation team were great not too in your face.Pool area very clean but could do with a few more sunbeds found you had to get towels out on the beds early.But could not fault the hotel will definatley return.

Our party of 4 adults have just returned from this resort. The hotel was extremley clean, the rooms were nice with your own air conditioning, the staff friendly. The food was good, the drink - a bit of a let down - weak beer or vodka, gin or brandy - there was only 2 cocktails each night choosen by the staff which were naff!!. The entertainment was great fun and the guys deserve a medal for all the hard work they put in. They did'nt stop from 10am till late at night. Excellent place for familes - not the place to go if you wanna stay up drinking as everything shut down at midnight. The main nightmare was getting a sunbed,the hotel certainly could'nt fit anymore in but you had to get up early for a bed!
A mini bus is laid on to take you to the beach which was lovely and clean.
We would return to this resort.
