before i start ranting i have been to turkey loads of times infact was there only 7 weeks ago so i know wot turkey is all about. this hotel should be done for false advertising on their website, the rooms were falling apart, bedding dirty, we was self catering waited 4 days for a cooker and when we did try to use it it blew all the fuses in the room floor had holes in it the balcony was a death trap. are u getting the picture !! it states on the website that all rooms had pool or mountain views well if u call looking into sumone's bedroom in the houses faces you a mountain view!!! we had no view of the pool or mountain unless we broke our necks to look over balcony which was unsafe, the window sill inside was broken. the drawers to keep untenils had fallen apart. the utensils apart from knives forks were all broken or had no handles and my idea of a holiday is not being woken up every morning with a screaming baby who was put out in a buggy , there is peoples houses next to his hotel this hotel is right on the main road it is noisy and it also next door to a grave yard there was no fountain or pond no table tennis hadnt had bats or balls for 3 months and the reduced entry to the aqua park is about ten pounds a day per person the restuarant is a rip off £3.50 for an english breakfast the prices are all in english but they charge u in lira the staff are freindly enoff but speak little english the only good thing about this hotel is the 3 aqua slides u have been warned dont go here .

Fantastic, warm and friendly. We stayed at Salhan in October 2007 for 10 days and enjoyed it so much we went back with more family, 8 of us with an age range from 6 to 70. Lovely location up in the mountains, so even when it is really hot there is a slight breeze, but minutes by taxi to Fethiye, Hisaronu or Olu Deniz
Polat and his family who run this and the larger sister hotel down the road (The Grand Ucel) cannot do enough for you as is the case for all the staff at Salhan. The kids had a wonderful time either playing in the gardens, pool or on the three aqua slides (although the adults enjoyed those to) and when they wanted a little more fun we went to the Aqua park at the sister hotel. It is very safe and you can let the kids get on with there own thing without worry as all the staff keep an eye on them. There is always fruit ready to be picked and eaten around the gardens whether it is Mulberry's, plums, grapes or the kids loved the pomegranates (the kids had a few in October).
The rooms are bright, clean and our two bed apartment was huge, the cleaners are great often leaving flower petals on the beds once made. We chose to include breakfast which was warm and prepared to order each morning, even the kids enjoyed the Turkish breakfast.
Although trips can be booked in Hisaronu we found it easier to book these through the family at the hotel, they have all the best contacts and one of the relatives has a lovely Boat for day trips and the food on board was excellent. The Restaurant is very good but to be fair we did not have a bad meal in the two weeks we were there regardless of where we ate, try the Fish market in Fethiye and Yalcins on the way into Hisaronu. Shopping is also worthwhile so do not go with a full baggage load. Jewellery is an excellent buy, we bought a lovely ring for my wife's birthday at Desire Jewellery about two thirds of the way through Hisaronu. No pressure, we chose the stones and style on the Monday and went back to have a look at it on the Thursday, it was around a third of the price that we were going to pay in the UK.
Getting around is easy by either Dolmus (minibus) or we chose to use Taxi as there were 8 of us. Booked through the hotel they will drop you off and arrange to pick you up at a set time, or we took a card and rang the driver when we were ready to be picked up.
Now we have been to Salhan twice we almost feel like family and our kids have firm friends there so it will not be long before we go back.

Location 100%, Accommodation 100%, Holiday overall 100%
The Salhan apartments couldn't be situated in a more perfect location, a short dolmus ride from both olu deniz and fethiye and just a short walk from the resort centre of hisaronu.
The staff at the apartments made us feel like we were the only guests there making themselves available at all times no matter what time of day or night. The food was second to none and the rooms clean and comfortable, cleaned daily.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and the whole family made you feel at home. So if you’re looking for a place to stay away from the hustle and bustle then this is the one THE SALHAN.

We went to the travel agents not a clue as to where we wanted to go, we were asked how about Turkey then we were shown The Salhan Apartments we were hooked, booked it there and then so glad we did.
All the staff were fantastic, the apartment was lovely and clean and the food was brilliant. Overall the whole holiday experience was 10/10. We came home on 11/08/06 tired but with beautiful memories of a wonderful country and people. We went to book for next year
Can't wait. We will certainly tell people if they want a holiday then Turkey is the place and Salhan is the place to stay.

The owner's sister ran a boat day trip excursion. The experience was truly worth it. We were collected at the reception, taken to the harbour and returned to the apartments at the end of the day. £10.00 per person including food! This trip is not broadcasted because it is not an official Tour Operator excursion, so just ask at reception because anyone can go.
Re Thomson excursions - do not book up the check-out Dalyan cruise. Information very misleading. The idea is that you end up near the airport to save the hassle of a fairly long journey, but we were worn out by a military style schedule and being ordered about every 30 minutes. The hotel they take you to at the end would only suit someone who is very hungry and likes deep fried food that was once a living animal (we couldn't tell which though!)
Advice: A lovely part of Turkey, relaxing
Activities: Jeep safari, water rafting and boat trip
