" Absolutely Fabulous "

Hi we (myself, my aunt and my 2 children 14 & 7) stayed at the Lara Beach Hotel in June this year for 11 nights. All I can say it was one of the nicest places I have stayed. The beach front location is fantastic and if you get a chance the jetty is the place to escape the intense heat. The kids met loads of other kids of all nationalities and were safe to go off on their own. Mine loved the fact they could go and get a freshly made pizza at lunch time, whilst my aunt and I opted for some proper food. The fish dish at the sunset bar is to die for. The food in the main restaurant was what you'd expect from an all inclusive hotel, and does get a bit 'same ol!' But there is enough choice, that unless you were completely unadventorous (in which case you should probably stay in England??) or extremely fussy you could find something to your liking. Make sure you try the Al a Carte restaurants. They give you a change from the buffet style main restaurant. It's nice to actually have waiter service. The Italian was very nice but a little bit stuffy in atmosphere. When we went to the Turkish Restaurant it was actually a bbq stlye meal down by the beach. The atmosphere was superb and the waiter a scream, but we unfortunately got bitten a live so ruined the night. The Asian restaurant was very good as well, they were very accomodating with my son who is 7 and cooked him a chicken breast especially, as he did not like some of the dishes. The animation team were not only the most gorgeous looking guys I've seen, (if only I was 20 years younger???) but they made your stay as enjoyable as you let them. They were exstremely hard working but always polite and happy.
The only critism I have is that the room we initially had was very small for a family room and was in no way suitable for us. We ended upgrading to a sea view suite at a cost of 500 euros!!! Over all a fine hotel to stay in as long as you realise 5* in Turkey is not the same as 5* in England. I would definately recommend a stay here and I would go back again.

Advice: Its a strip of beach with 5* hotels and not a lot else!

" Thomson "

We returned from our holiday at Lara Beach in June, this was our 1st time to Turkey and was going with mixed ideas going off what we had been told. I have to say it's been our most Amazing holiday to date, the Hotel was out of this world, the staff were the friendliest we have ever met, the food was just Wow! the Hotel was immaculate, towel's changed daily, bedding every other day and the little Creation's left on your bed each day was a Special touch which made all the difference. My only fault, was there was nothing to do outside of the hotel, which im sure will come in time, and that the Entertainment finished to early. Other than that, it was a Perect Holiday. I travelled with my Husband and 3 Daughter's 19,14,5.
Would luv to say I have booked again for next year, but obviously due to it's increased popularity, Thomson have put another £1400 on the price from what we paid this year for the same time and duration. Come on Thomson, that's a bit "to much", dont you think?

Advice: Must experience this Hotel.

" lara beach hotel "

i booked this hotel last april when they had the 1 child goes free offer, i booked it as a 30th gift to my self as i celebrated this while i was out there, i looked many hotels and the reviews and this was by far the best, the beach isn't white sands with clear blue sea, so if its that your after then you would be de appointed,
i knew this from other people photos any way so want surprised, i pick it purely for the great reviews it had and i have to say i had high expectations for the week i had book and on arrival i knew it lived up to them.
the staff could not do enough for you, their English was not greet as others have said in the reviews it seems the first language they know is German but i have to say that the migratory of people there was Scottish! food was fantastic, every thing for any ones taste, lots of fresh fruit every day, and freshly made stone baked pizzas you watched being made, ice creams at certain time of the day, put it this way you'll never go hungry! and also got to add that this is the first time i have been away and not had an up set stomach. and i ate there salads and had ice in my drink, i did use bottlews water to clean my teeth with though, in case.
if you like a day out shopping then get a 105 bus out side the hotel to the market, 20 mins away, cost 1.80 lira, about 90p. but be wear that they ask every when in turkey for euros first, they make more money on them, i didn't take any euro just lira but they will take it just ask prices in lira.
one thing i was not aware of before going to turkey was that you need injections, so see your doctors first.
had a great time and one day will be going back, great for all,10/10

" Perfect "

Could not fault this hotel. Superbly clean and great food and drink. The Thai restaurant is lovely. We had a sea facing room with a lovely balcony and every day on returning to our room it had a different style of decoration on the bed.
The staff speak very good english and are extremely attentative.
If you are looking for a friendly, relaxed and a holiday with a personal touch this is the place to go.

" A Hotel Out of This World! "

We have just come back from turkey about 3 hours ago. This is the second time we have been to turkey but the first time we have been to Lara Beach hotel.Last year we went to jasmin beach apartments which was good but couldnt put a patch on this! This is the best hotel we have been on.There was a group of us(12 people) which i think it would be a bit better if you came in a group because u enjoy yourself more.Anyway , we was in room 1110.We wasnt very happy because they only had a little single camp bed for my 10 year old daughter and she is tall for her age.The room was small anyway. You had to rumage through the beds to get to the balcony which was a bit of a struggle.Me and My husband went down to the reception and asked if we could change rooms but they didnt have anyway rooms left because the hotel was full. But,they sent a man up to our room and put a bigger single bed in and pushed all of the beds up to the wall so there was more space. We thought that was brilliant because we had enough space and didnt have to rummage through to get to the balcony. That wasnt why we give the hotel 9/10 though. The one thing that let us a little let down was the entertainment at night time. Most of it is all dancing which you get fed up of.There was just nothing to do at the night time.We found ourselves in the arcade every night because there was nothing to do for the kids.My friend and her daughter and husband came. Her daughter is 12 nearly 13 she was to old for the stuff! So was my daughter and my sister in laws son.But for my older daughters daughter it was alright because she was only 4.That was a let down.Apart from that, everything was brilliant.I would recomend all the resturants because they were lovely! My husband and all of us made a good friend called elvis that is in the arcade bar.In the italian resturant when you have lental soup, dont eat the bowl.It might sound wierd but they are made of bread and if you eat the bread lid its rock hard and is bad for your teeth. My friend sat there buttering it and saying-''oh its like croutons this!''......Haha!I would defently come back to lara beach again. It was out of this world!

Advice: Loved Antalya (lara beach)its outstanding !we might go back in september for 1 week or so!

Activities: Theres so many i cant choose!

" Firt Timr "

This was our 1st visit to Turkey and therefore this resort. We had a really relaxing time for 2 weeks. The hotel facilities were excellent although some were not open so early in the season. The food was varied, well cooked and beauifully presented in th Jasmine Buffet restaurant. We also ate 3 times in the A La Carte, 2 Italian and 1 Turkish where the food quality and service were exceptional. Generally the staff are very pleasant and polite, just that with a predominance of German guests they tended to speak German first, as did most of the local shopkeepers. There are limited local facilities other than an increasing number of shopping centres to visit on foot. The health club and entertainment facilities were good but we used them only on a few occasions. The room facilities were very good and you should prepare yourself for the wonderful bed decorations prepared by the room maids each day.
We can thorouhly recommend this hotel to other visitors and were advised the best weather is to be found in May and September, with the summer months too hot and other times too varied in weather terms.

Advice: well worth a visit

" fabulous Lara Beach "

This will be my 2nd time in turkey and it will not be my last.
In july i went to Marmaris which was nice but Lara is on a different level, much much more relaxed & classy its up there with all the best i really reccomend this hotel for couples, families & parties.....
This is an all inclusive resort with lots of things on offer to put plenty of weight onto your body!!(i came back 1 stone heavier)
our stay was 2weeks holiday at Hotel Lara Beach & wow did we have fun!!
The party of 7 included 5 adults 1 child and 1 baby and catered for everything we needed.
The weather was very good and we all came back looking tanned.
The Hotel itself was very modern with designer lifts and grand reception area, a holiday hotel not to dissapoint....
The hotel itself is positioned directly overlooking the sea on a strip of beach alongside many other hotels all 5* rating.
This hotel has many watersports on offer for a small charge but well worth the money(jet ski's,parasailing, boat trips which are gr8 i fully reccommend).
There was not much outside of hotel apart from some shops and bazzars where you could buy fake designer goods for reasonable price-although we caught a bus into antalya bazzar where things were much cheaper....
The hotel itself has a mini club which is run by fabulous girls who ensure your children have fun, twicw a week they take the children down to the beach for banana rides which were very safe.
At Night there is a mini disco for the children which was very popular and got the parents involved and fit!!....
The entertainment team were fab ,worked very hard to ensure you had fun this included activities in the day & night a special thankyou to MELIH & JAMBO who were very good at there job and worked very hard to entertain us(welldone we miss your dancing....)
There is a small waterpark for adults & 2 slides for the kids which will certainly entertain you....
The food was also good lots of choice for adults & children.
Food available throughout the day...delicious cakes at 4 o clock and gr8 coffees...
The rooms were very modern & clean & on arrival the room we had allocated was quite small for us with children but the reception staff were very good and moved us straight away.
The only thing which let Lara down at the time of our holiday was the building work going on either side of the hotel which did affect our views......
However Lara is been developed to improve wots ther now & im sure in a few yrs time it will only get betta!!
We really enjoyed our time at Lara & will definatley return at some point.....
So go on and book you wont be dissapointed.

" Lara Beach thanks "

Just returned from a very relaxin week at the Lara beach for my wife and I.
Hotel is very good and the facilities more than adequate, the food is a little repitive but the quakity was fine.
Loved the fact that there were specific areas for adults only although much to my surprise the kids were generally well behaved and looked after by their parents, unlike some holidays where the parents don't sem to care how late their children are up.
Only gripe I had was the flight times with a 05.30 departure coming home. I would be more than happy to go back but not with Thomas Cook if they cannot improve those flight times.

" Four adults a17 year old and a 6 year... "

Four adults a17 year old and a 6 year old spent a week at lara beach hotel. The hotel was spotless clean ,the pool area was brilliant especially the slides . We had no problem getting 6 sunloungers round the childrens pool with its own slides .Drinks were in abundance both soft drinks and alcoholic if required, also if you get hungry you can get simple meals such as burger and chips or a pizza which was very nice .Now for the grumbles ! the food in the restaurant was very poor everything was in a stew form with some very weird concoctions everything was either turkey ,chicken or lamb swimming in different liquids .Be carefull if you pick the lamb , we did only to find when you tried to chew the meat you find they have left the small bones in which are very sharp on your gums mine received a small cut and it was sore for three days after . The soups were something else ,ok if you like tripe soup or yogurt soup which both looked like washing up water , and tasted like it too. My six year old grandaughter wanted to go to the kids club , when we got there it was all in German which made us all very annoyed and the child very upset because she could not understand what was going on .The next night was the movie "SHREK" in the kids club only to find it in German with Turkish subtitles .Two nights with a very upset child and nothing else for them to do. We certainly felt like third class citizens behind the germans and other nationalities .We definitely will not be going back and however Thompsons can call it a family orientated hotel is totally beyond me .

" stayed at Lara Beach hotel in... "

stayed at Lara Beach hotel in September 2008. had read mixed reviews some off putting. Its a good job i do not believe everything i read. It was one of the best holidays i have had. The hotel its self is superb, staff very friendly. If you could not find anything to eat from 26 dishes well !!!!! We had a choice of breakfast dishes, we opted for the fried eggs on toast. I had pancakes nearly every day. The building work that was mentioned by many did not affect us in any way. Our room overlooked the building work, you never heard the workmen at any time of day. As we were sunbathing on one of many sun loungers available we were approached by Oman who runs a business on the beach taking bookings for the waterfall excursion and para sailing. We thought he would ask for money up front for this trip but he insisted you pay after the trip. If you miss this chance to see the waterfalls and caves from the sea you have missed an exhilarating experience. Well worth the little it costs. You have the chance to see the falls from a coach trip but you only see from the top of a cliff for minutes, this way you travel under the falls and see all the other hotels in Lara on the 1hour and 20 minute speed boat ride. The hotel had a beach party one night with live music where the free drink was in no shortage. Another occasion was a champagne fountain and Alaska cake served around 11 o,clock whilst the temperature was still in the high 20's. All the entertainment team danced with guests making it an enjoyable evening. Only criticism is that there are little or no facilities outside the hotel to drink or eat, but plenty of shopping centres some very expensive with armed guards on entry. all We can say is Wow! cannot wait to return.

" We selected Lara beach as it was... "

We selected Lara beach as it was cheep, looked good value for money and it was. We went to Lara as to girls going on a relaxing break. On our ariaval we were given a room over looking the next door building plot, we complained and were moved straight away to a room on the opersite side of the hotel, we could see the sea (just), the best rooms are the rooms on the side that faces the swimming pools but you can't book these so its a little bit of pot luck were you get put. Having said that they are clean, the fridge is topped up every morning with soft drinks and water. The Hotel is loverly, loads of swimming pools, from an adults only pool, kids pool, slids, and a general swimming area that was huge. we never had to worry about trying to get a bed to lay on, there were plenty. Its stunning. The food is out of this world there is so much choice. The staff were great, very helpful. The beach is a two minute walk away with a great pontoon with beds and cold drink machine. The beach was a little dirty but to be fair to lara not in there area. Plenty of beach activities, not to expensive.
The entertainment in the evenings was ok the staff worked very hard to entertain every one. You could always find something to do. No were to go out side the hotel unless you took transport then there was loads. The taxis are very expensive. The busses are not to good we were told but are very cheep.
Take euro the turks dont won't turkish money you can barter better with euro.
We had a great time, on our last day i became ill and was rushed into hospital, ending up staying in for two wks, my partner had to fly out he arrived at Lara in the middle of the night they could not have been any more helpful if they tried, .there was no problem about keeping the room on, they even phoned my room in the hospital severial times to see how i was. They passed on messages, faxed information no charge they were great.
Can't wait to go back.

" 3rd all inclusive holiday in Turkey,... "

3rd all inclusive holiday in Turkey, this ones up there with the best. These generally modern complex,s tend to offer better value for money than other countries as the hotels and facilities are modern and well equiped to cater for holiday makers. Also with Turkey not yet dealing solely in the Euro, there is still some value to be had in visiting Turkey compared to other countries. The effort from all the staff at this hotel in making you feel on holiday and helping to look after you is second to none. Variations in the menu for selection,s of food at meals is more than ample for a 2 week stay. Also the local selection of lagers and wines(bottle of Red & White on the dinner table every evening) is good, better than previous all inclusives that Ive been to. If you havent been to Turkey before you will enjoy the daily sea breeze that makes the high temperatures much more pleasant to sit in compared to the likes of Spain. The daily entertainment programme is good with the only negative being that it tends not to cater for children from about 10 years old through to about 15 years old - could do better to get this age group involved, although I suppose kids of this age are meant to get new buddies themselves. This complex also has a high proportion of British holiday makers thus the evening entertainment programme is generaly in English, unlike a lot of other hotels in the area that cater more so for other nationals. The high proportion of English speaking tongues also made for ease in socialising and meeting new friends - kids and adults. Although for some reason I cant understand then why prior to coming home that sunbeds were becoming harder to get in the morning! (sod all to do with the Gerries!) joking aside, when you wanted a sunbed you could get one at any time, although maybe not always in your preferred place. Only downside to this and the surrounding complex,s is that it is still an area of development hence shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep of the hotel were scarce(thus 9 out of 10) - although this would not stop me recommending this complex! If you have booked then enjoy, if you are going to book - dont let me stop you. NB; comment having read some reviews - no matter where u go things will differ from home, dont let any small stupid thing waste your holiday stack up what youve paid and what youve got! ENJOY!!! a value for money family holiday is what we got here.

" OMG! I have just returned from a... "

OMG! I have just returned from a weeks holiday at Lara Beach and have the ultimate holiday blues. The amazing weather, warm sea and excellent resort made this the best holiday i have ever had. Although your in a different country the resort certainly caters for everyone. All the staff speak in a variety of languages and the food in the restaurant also caters for all. The entertainers are gorgeous and ensure you have a good time no matter your age; for example I am 17 and my parents are in their 40's but we all had a great time. The water sports are a must have! I went on the speed boat trip, parasailing and jet skiing and would go again and again. Brilliant. However, you leave the resort and a 40 minute drive takes you to Antalya where you can experience the great Bazzar or go to the marina and see breathtaking views. I would definitely recommend you stay there for longer then a week because of the travelling and there is so much to do that a weeks stay definitely isn't enough.
Make sure you book an al a carte meal, we did the bbq which was great! you make it yourself which adds a nice touch the holiday. One more thing.. the cocktails vary from every bar you go to; the sunset bar makes the best ones and the silence bar makes the strongest! So watch out!

" Just got back from a fantastic two... "

Just got back from a fantastic two week holiday at Hotel Lara Beach and wishing that we were still there. The hotel, food, hotel staff and entertainment team were great, made the holiday really enjoyable. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, the staff were working all hours of the day and night to keep up the very high standards. The restaurants were very nice and you had a lot of variety to choose from and the food was also very good for children especially if they are fussy eaters. The a la carte restaurants were also very nice, the food was amazing and it was nice to try something new. The waiters and waitresses in all restaurants and bars were very helpful and friendly and they love to entertain the children. I have to say that the entertainment team made the holiday really fun and kept our little boy out of mischief for a while :) A special thanks to Serkan for making our little boy laugh and smile all of the time. The entertainment at night was also very good and had something different on every night.

Overall we would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody, has something for everybody. It is good for families and couples. A lot of reviews have mentioned that they thought that this hotel was a bit too far away from everything and that they would rather have stayed at the Delphin Palace as this is nearer to everything, but it is literally about a 20 minute walk away, so not too far from everything at all. There are hotels being built either side of the hotel, but you wouldnt know that this was the case, because you never hear any noise. Yes, you can see them from your rooms, but you dont spend much time in your rooms anyway to notice.

The only thing that we were disappointed with was that you have to pay for all of your drinks after midnight but this is the only thing to moan about. Would love to go back that is for sure. Thank you to all of the staff at Hotel Lara Beach for making this a really enjoyable and memorable holiday.
