Submitted By: Miss M DixonThe other reports are accurate regarding the level of English guests at the hotel. During our time I would estimate that it was approx 90% German or Russian holidays makers at the resort. Many staff do speak some English but German is the dominate language and knowing a few phrases does help with the waiter services in the restaurant. However both the instructors for the classes I attended did speak good English and the shows have an element of bilingual translation where it’s needed. However my partner and I did occasionally feel that we were not as important as other guests as more attention was paid to other guests during lessons and activities. This was most apparent during attempting to book a second treatment in the spa where the staff were trying to fit us at a convenient time until the manager realised we were English and the availability suddenly wasn’t there anymore! The other difference are minor cultural ones such as trying to get a sunbed (the pool ones were taken by 7am with the majority of the beach ones taken by 8am) which did take some of the relaxing edge of our holiday. Also the “formal” style of dancing (picture everyone dancing formal ballroom style no matter what the song being played!) which was a minor and rather entertaining difference! However all in all we did have a good holiday and wouldn’t fault the resort or its location as the nearest shops are only 800m away.
PS I would however recommend anyone planning on taking spending money to this resort for massage treatments and a bit of shopping to take euros rather than the lira. Everything is priced in euros (due to the German dominance), everywhere I went accepted euros and the conversion into lira can make things more expenses due to the various currency exchange rates

Submitted By: Mrs M WarnerWe went with two other families with 5 children in total 8 to 12 years old and everyone really enjoyed it. Although there is no longer a kids club at the hotel, staff are very friendly towards children and our party of 5 kids found plenty to do with tennis, snorkelling, banana boat, canoeing and swimming. Plenty of sun beds can be found on the beach even if the ones around the pool get filled. The staff are more than happy to move sunbeds if you ask them.
The food in all the restaurants is excellent and the choice is plentiful. All hot foot is cooked in front of you and is very fresh. There is a different theme each evening and it is all of a high standard. The staff can never do enough for you.
The entertainment is fantastic too, there are shows almost every night, we saw the Chinese Circus, a live band on the beach and the entertainment staff do shows which are of a very high standard.
I also learnt to dive with the Magic Life Dive Centre, passing the exam and doing two open water dives. This was a really great experience and they even found a smaller tank so 4 children in our party 8 to 10 years old could try diving in the swimming pool. This was one of the childrens highlights.
We also met a few people who had done other Magic Life holidays and had been 5 or 6 times to other places. I would highly recommend a Magic Life holiday.
English is not the first language spoken, but we never found this a problem. Everyone in the hotel understood us and as we passed our diving exam it shows how good some of their English was.

Submitted By: Ms L ChatfieldWater sports were great. All the staff were very friendly. We had tennis lessons and they were very good. Mountain bike tour - very good, but warning, even on a level 1 you need to be fairly fit for the Canyon tour.
There were signs saying no reserving sun beds, but it still happened, so you just had to join in to get the shady spots. But saying that, there was always somewhere to go either by the pool or on the beach.
Everything was immaculately clean. Staff were constantly cleaning toilets and general areas and pool area was cleaned down at the end of every evening.
We went to Turkish Bath with Thomson and found this really good value and enjoyable experience. They do try to sell add ons, but its upto you if you decide to take them.
All in all a fantastic experience, and somewhere we would like to go back to with our grown up children someday.

The entertainment team are so good and the mungo club girls Verena and Eminea were brilliant with my two children who are 4 and 2. There were a few things that they couldn’t join in with because they were to young but they did involve them in quite a lot. But I do think it is more geared for the older children i.e. 6+
There were only a few things that we felt let it down a bit, one the lack of evening entertainment. The entertainment staff put on a show every night (except Sunday) for 1 hour in the Ampi-theatre, they also have outside entertainers on various nights like Chinese acrobats; which were really good.
The show starts at 9.30pm, but there is not a lot for the little one’s. There was a kids disco between 8.00 – 8.30 but it’s not really a disco it’s more a few children’s party songs, no music the entertainer just sings them, like; birdie song, Hokey Cokey, ring o’roses, that sort of thing.
There is then a small band on by the pool bar from 10.30pm for a couple of hours.
The other thing was the management control, or lack of it. For our 2nd week there were a lot of Austrian families with teenage children, the teenagers (probably about 10 of them) were constantly running around and jumping in the relaxing pool and throwing each other in, they even at one point threw a sun-lounger in the pool.
Most of the guests that were around the relaxing pool complained to the customer services woman but nothing ever seemed to get done. They just said they couldn’t stop them. It was suggested that they should then take the signs down that states it is a relaxing pool; but they didn’t.
I felt a bit agitated as I spent most of day in that pool with my children as they are only little and only just getting confidant in the water, having teenagers jumping right by them scared them a bit and I felt I was being a bit of a kill joy having to keep telling them to watch out for my children.
As other reviews have mentioned it is cheaper to book excursions at the travel agents across the road, but please be careful, my husband and I booked a Turkish Bath at the travel agents; it was cheaper than the hotel and was cheaper than Thomson. We were picked up from the hotel and brought back with no problems and the place we went to, which was under a hotel (can’t remember the name) seemed to be OK. But the guy who gave me my Turkish Bath did not behave appropriately and made my feel really uncomfortable (I’m sure you can use your imagination to understand what I mean). I told the Thomson rep about it and she said I could report it but I thought what is the point it would be his word against mine, the best thing I thought I could do was write this review and hopefully no one else will go through what I went through. The Turkish bath at the hotel is apparently very good and the one you can book through Thomson is good so please make sure if you want a Turkish Bath you book either at the hotel or with Thomson.
I would definitely recommend this resort to everyone and I will definitely book another Magic Life holiday in the future.

Submitted By: Mrs J EllarWe had a great time. Hotel and staff were both excellent!
Food was lovely with plenty of choice, entertainment good and there was 24hr drinking for those that wanted it.
All in all a fantastic holiday, will be returning in 4 weeks time with our families.

Submitted By: Mrs J TwymanThere didn't seem to be many English at all when we were there, but the German's who spoke English were all very nice, but it does separate you from the majority, but as we wanted a romantic 'couple' holiday, it was quite nice to be left to ourselves.
I loved the white water rafting too, and the chill out cruise was lovely, and I agree that the travel agents over the road are brilliant, but don't forget you're not in the UK and expect times to be flexible and driving to be perilous! The worst part of the holiday was the trip to the rafting, totally down to our terrible driver.
I want to try all the other Magic Life centres now, although we were told this was particularly nice because it was smaller than most and so more friendly. That was by the Magic Life regulars who had been to 2 or 3 of them.

Submitted By: Mr M LewisOnly down side, is don’t book the diving excursion with the rep, we did and were treated disgracefully by the diving company, we were left waiting 2 hours to be taken back to the hotel, we complained and in the end they made us get off the boat and wait on the roadside!
But hotel was totally fantastic, I will go back!

Submitted By: Ms W EastThe availability of water sports was excellent with hardly any waiting involved.
The rooms were spotless, the hotel staff were very pleasant and friendly as were the entertainment staff. There were plenty of English around at the time of our holiday and we all couldn't believe how good the resort was.
I would agree with other reviews and not book any excursions with the tour operator. Trips are available at a fraction of the cost at the travel company across the road.
This is definitely a chain of hotels that we will be going back to again. I would recommend this resort to anybody.

Submitted By: Mrs L HorsmanThe food was first class; there were a whole range of sporty, creative & fun activities to occupy us all day; children's workers were wonderful! The site was spotlessly clean and the staff could not do enough for us. Evening entertainment & daytime pool activities were great, good, clean family fun.
We booked the white water rafting excursion & would recommend it, if you don't mind being thrown into a freezing river by an over-enthusiastic Turkish guide it's great fun! The only downside to the holiday was that we had to come home!

Submitted By: Mr A RushmerThe food was great with plenty of choice from a number of different restaurants on site and no waiting for tables. Magic life Kemer easily compares with forte village Sardinia on value for money!
p.s. if you go on any excursions don’t book through Thompson go down to the village and book here and you will save a lot of money.

The staff are amazing and the entertainment was fab. Great holiday would recommend.
