Nefeli Studios

What a fantastic place, great setting and super clean rooms. We booked for four nights but ended up staying for eight. Roula was always very helpfull. Highly recommended.

I stayed in this small hotel in May 2008. It is a quiet place next to the sea with nice surrounding environment. People are very kind and rates are good.It has an impressive view to the sunset. Rooms are very clean and there is also a magnificent garden. Overall a very good option for vacation in Milos.

I did not stay in this hotel. I was about to book. I read this internet site with many great reviews about "Nefeli Sunset Studios & rooms", so I decided spend a part of my vacations inthere. I made a tel call to book the room &spoke with Rula. In english, because I am not greek. She was very sweet on the phone & told me, that the hotel is full for the date i wanted, so we changed the date few days later & the price for the room I wanted was 80 euro. But in the internet site it says that room costs 40 euro. So, I asked my friend, who is greek, to call &ask about the same room. What he did next morning & the price for him was exactly - 40 euro. And the hotel was not full at all for the same date I wanted to book from the beginning. Be careful, guys. And check the prices carefully.

Nefeli offers superb hospitality, fabulous location and fastidious cleanliness. This is a great place to unwind, breathe deeply and savour every moment. As you sit on your balcony or stand in the garden the blues of sea and sky compete for your attention. The sunsets are breathtaking. Pollonia, with a good choice of tavernas, is a short walk away. The island's excellent roads make exploring easy. Roula and Mikis are always happy to give directions and advice: plus the all important weather update! When the wind is from the north, head for the southern beaches! The welcome you receive at Nefeli is sincere and warm. Combine this with the magic of Milos and it becomes the stuff of dreams.

I'm not even sure where to begin this review, as there are so many fantastic aspects of staying at the Nefeli Studios. I visited the studios in September 2007, as a young, single female traveler. The owners, Mikis and Roula, immediately took me under their wing and made me feel so welcome and at home. They gave honest reviews of activities and restaurants, made a place for me at their dinner table, offered me glasses of beautiful chilled wines while I lounged in the courtyard, and made me completely comfortable at all times. To save me the trouble and cost of taking the busses around the island, Mikis took me to and from Adamas almost every single day, showed me around the town, and even gave me a present (gorgeous earrings) from his gift store. He and Roula stayed up most evenings with me, playing the guitar, singing, and drinking raki. They were truly warm and loving hosts - I've never experienced such hospitality. The studios themselves were brilliant - always clean, fresh, and airy. The views were spectacular, the sunsets breathtaking, and I very much enjoyed the peace and quiet. If you're looking for constant stimulation, this certainly isn't the place for you...if you're looking for the real Greece, you'll fall in love. If Greece ever makes it back on my world itinerary (so many places to go, so little time to travel!), I'll definitely be paying a return trip to Nefeli. :)

We have just returned from Milos where we spent one week at the Nefeli. Absolutely loved it. The hotel is right on the beach with wonderful views. But what absolutely made it for us was Roula Diakaki, the charming owner and her husband, who could not do enough for us - giving good advice about restaurants and beaches to go to depending on the weather and telling us about life on the island. We will definitely be returning. September is just the right time of the year - weather perfect - not too busy.

If you're looking for high quality, reasonably priced accommodation in an idyllic setting, then look no further than the Nefeli Sunset Studio Rooms. The mixture of rooms and studios are spectacularly located on a headland 10 metres from the sea and within easy walking distance of the attractive resort of Pollonia. The rooms and studios are well equipped and beautifully furnished reflecting the exquisite taste of the owners, Mikis and Roula Diakaki. We stayed for 10 days unable to tear ourselves away to another island. The location of the Nefali is simply breathtaking - bathing in the little coves, watching the sun set over the Glaronissia Islands and sitting out under the stars was an absolute joy. It is a sublimely peaceful, romantic spot where you can totally relax and unwind. Mikis and Roula are incredibly kind and hospitable and looked after our every need. Unsurprisingly guests return to them year afer year - we'll certainly be going back - its a piece of paradise within easy reach of the U.K.

With very little appropriate trip advisor reviews for Milos, and specifically Pollonia, we were worried about getting the right accommodation (we are VERY fussy!). Thankfully Roula's Nefeli Studios were a dream come true; very spacious ground floor studio with large brand new bathroom with proper shower (not usual in Greece). Our own huge private terrace had a stunning view under shaded trees to the beach 30ft away. We struck gold with this place, which is excellent value for money, and would be very tempted to return for a relaxing refresher. The local fishing village is charming (& as the previous reviewer said) 5mins walk with a picture postcard offering of taverners. This is not Mykonos or Santorini - this is real Greece! If you fancy Milos, then you wont go wrong at Roula's place; specifically as she is clearly developing and improving her place season after season!

This was without a doubt the most beautiful place we stayed during our trip to Greece. It is located on a promontory surrounded on three sides by the Aegean. We were there during a heat wave and were able to step out of our rooms and go swimming in the waters surrounding the hotel - this while others of us were enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sun set over the Aegean. There are tables beneath the shade of trees where you can sit and have breakfast while gazing at the sea. Each evening, we set up tables by the water's edge where we had dinner. The rooms were beautiful; classic white wash with deep blue trim. And our second story rooms opened onto a wrap around porch covered with a bougainvillea covered trellis. The owners were very personable and extremely helpful; recommending places to eat in the nearby picturesque fishing village of Pollonia - a five minute walk from Nefeli Studios. They also set up a boat tour around the neighboring island of Poliegos which was utterly delightful. This hotel is a little piece of paradise on earth.

Milos (a cycladic island), Greece: The Nefeli Sunset Studios I want to review this charming place that I recently stayed at for 12 days a few weeks ago in Pollonia, Milos. I recently rented a studio room at Nefeli which overlooked the ocean and was within a short walking distance to a nearby fishing village. The view was spectacular. I already miss waking up to the sound of the ocean waves and watching the sunsets before the end of the day. Whether I was sitting at my window or outside in the garden, the view was always amazing. And my studio room was so enchanting and spacious. Every morning as I drank my tea, I enjoyed admiring the artwork and the design of the room. The owners did a wonderful job decorating it with colorful paintings and craftworks. I will never forget my stay there. I hated leaving "my place." After 12 days it began to feel like home. And the owners were also wonderful, answering my numerous questions and advising me on places to see. I highly recommend Nefeli Studios to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay while they are exploring the beautiful island of Milos or even exploring the other cycladic islands. Nefeli is a homey place to return to after the hustle and bustle of some of the more commercial islands.
