" Two couples (56/55- 58/54), my wife... "
Submitted By: Mr A Dewhurst
Two couples (56/55- 58/54), my wife and I and 2 friends stayed at Villa Rosa in Troulos in May 08 had a great time, the rooms were very nice and clean.
The food was very good in the taverna greek & mediterranean cuisine cooked by Markos, all the staff/family are super from the little boy to the grandad.
There are also some very good restaurants close by, Syrtaki on the main road is good went there 3 times, Troulos Beach Hotel is very good and you can higher the sunbeds from there and also change your serling for euros, thats where we got the best return.
There is also a very nice restaurant on the main road across from the garage but up a lot of steps but well worth it for the food, go to the beach and try Tpoyaoe taverna best
breakfast on the island.
I can understand why people fall in love with Skiathos it is so peacefull and everybody always as a smile for you. enjoy.

" Myself & my Girlfriend have just... "
Submitted By: Mr A Richardson
Myself & my Girlfriend have just returned from a lovely holiday in Skiathos. We stayed at the Villa Rosa and really enjoyed it. The rooms were cleaned every day & the pool was very clean. The Self Catering Equipment is very basic, but we don't go on Holiday to do any cooking! The food in the Villa Rosa is absolutely beautiful. We tried the food in Skiathos Town a couple of times but couldn't find any nicer than the Villa Rosa. Marcos and his Family are really friendly.
The Bar wasn't very lively at night but we were on the second to last week of the season. About 10 metres away is Cristakis Bar (has a big Sky Sports sign outside) that obviously has Football etc on a big screen. Chris and his Family were also very friendly and there is a Pool Table, Table Football and Internet Access. The bus runs approx every 30 mins into Skiathos Town and costs 1.80 euros. It can get packed at some times but a good service.
The Old Port in Skiathos Town is very nice but Cocktails can be a bit expensive. There are loads of other Bars in the town and on Bar Street there are a couple of ex pat's that have bought bars. We would definitely go again for a nice relaxing holiday and would definitely stay in the Villa Rosa.

" We have stayed at Villa Rosa for 8... "
Submitted By: Mrs J Harris
We have stayed at Villa Rosa for 8 years running and it just keeps getting better. We have watched the family grow and are now treated as if family.
There is always a warm welcome and the studios are clean and well equipped. The taverna and bar have a lovely atmosphere with Marcos (barman and waiter) always ready to crack a joke and eager to learn more English.
We have met lovely friends who we now see on a regular basis.
The buses run all day and well into the night and are very frequent if a little crowded at times. They go from one end of the island to the other. There is a different beach at almost every stop.
All in all I can thoroughly recommend the Villa Rosa and Troulos as an ideal holiday for those who want a more rural location with easy access to Skiathos town and lovely beaches.

Lastley the showers are a complete disaster with a trickle of water, you had to wash hair under the tap to get the soap out. The reason is the tanks are set on the ground instead of on the roof. This arrangement is fine but needs a pump as you have no head of water. So thompson please vet your accomodation properly, it would not take much to put it right and after a day on the beach a reasonable shower is esential. I hate writing a review like this and on the plus side the food was good as was our second room.
