Just came back from one week at this filthy resort. Ok if you pay peanuts your going to get monkeys so i should have known better. It is in no way a family resort. The pool is dirty and full of dead things which i never once saw being removed so they just built up as the week went on. The small so called childrens pool off to one side of the main pool was almost stagnent and scummy as was the jacuzzi which had a thick rim of scum around the tiles which were also broken and cracked. I stepped into it on my first day and nearly vomited at the filth. The pool side shower was nothing less than appauling with thick green slime all over the tiles. The dreadful so called music blasted out the speakers around the pool up to 15 hour a day which was totally mind numbing and there was no escape from it anywhere. The bathroom and kitchen was filthy the beach is also dirty with similar loud mind numbing music coming from every beach front cafe and restaurant and coming from every direction. The beach touts are also relentless and i counted that in just one hour i had to say no thank you 37 times and this went on all day it was exausting fending them off. This resort is for very young people who are not to fussy about there resort and rooms because they just want to drink and rave which is fine but it should be advertised as such. Please believe me and be warned as i wish i had been before i spent my hard earned cash and have come home now in need of a holiday to recover. I will try to add some of my holiday pictures so you can make a more accurate and informed choice about this place. PS bar manager rather curt and cleared tables with cigarette hanging from his mouth all other staff were pleasant polite and freindly. Thompson rep at resort spun us a yarn about booking excursions with them rather that other excursion operaters because they where competitve and better what a load of crap. Airport and Transfere reps well organised and professional.

I stayed at the Hotel with my boyfriend and i must say if you are a family or a couple this really is not the hotel to go to or the area either.
This was full of 16year old girls and boys and just groups of people.
The rooms are standard nothing special about them but they are in different classes A to D (D being the best) we were on the C floor and it was average, the beds are solid and so are the pillows, we found ants and glass on the floor, the bathroom was standard with a dripping shower. if your self catering take washing up liquid and clean everything your self as it was flithy.
Hotel reception was clean, staff were polite in the hotel.
I must say that the younger receptionist was really polite and happy.
The bar area was clean, with two great youngsters working, very polite and would be seen to straight away. The Bar manager could do with being more polite and smile and speak to people.
Pool area was clean majority of the time although i would advise not to walk in bare foot as we found lots of glass down there.
Sunbeds you need to be down early to get bed as you get the youngsters put theres down when they get in from a night out and not getting up to 1pm.
Overall the area of the hotel is set back from the main strip but is only about a 10minute walk.
This is a hotel for the ditry stop outs and people that just go for the clubbing in the evening, nothing to do during the day apart from excursions, no activities to do either or entertainment at the hotel.
This hotel is meant to be changed to a young and lively hotel for next year. But i do strongly advise if you dont really want to go out every night drinking this is really not the place to go.
- Advice: Excusions on the boats - lovely surroundings clear blue water.

Just got back from Laganas where I went with two mates (three lads). Have to say you must be mad if you're a couple and you want to come to this resort, especially at this time of the summer (July-August). Its basically a daily supply of sun-shots-***!!! Also, why would you bring young kids any where near a resort like this?
Anyway, best week of my life!! If your young and single you'll love it. All the hotels are basically standard no matter where you go. This one is fine. No more, just fine. Drinks are cheap, staff are cool and you get to know plenty of people.
It aint far from the strip. About a 10 minute walk and you have a choice of loads of restaurants to line your stomach before hand. Vanilla, Secret of Taste and Country are nice. The strip is a road of clubs and bars then ends with the beach. We liked Sizzle, Linekers and Qbar for bars. Make sure you go Cherry Bay, Zeros foam party and girls will definately love Cocktails and Dreams for the drinks!!
A couple more things: Booze Cruise is quality, best part of the holiday, and don't bother going to the White party on the Sunday.
Get there, get drunk, have fun. Simples.
- Advice: Ask about the short cut to the beach. Don't go down the strip.

Just got back from the Atlantis hotel, To start with this hotel is NOT a family hotel and it should not be allowed to be advertised as one! Even though we went as a couple we were still shocked to see that this could have been sold to people as a family hotel, without a doubt it should be 18-30's. Drinking games early hours of the morning including drinking beer out of condoms and on the last night male and female strippers! On top of this girls running down the corridors early hours of the morning blowing whistles etc.
When we were put into our room we were shocked to see how small the room was compared to what we had seen on the internet, the balcony had a massive tree infront of it so we didnt have a view and it seemed that out of all the balconys ours was the only one! Also the balcony was leaking so we spoke to our travel rep who told us it would be sorted the same day surprise surprise it wasnt! On the first night the airconditioning started leaking all down the walls next to a live plug socket on to a suitcase! It made the room smell so I spoke to the night guard about it who didnt have a clue what to do he told us he couldnt get in touch with his managaer and told us we would have to wait till morning! i refused to sleep in the room as it wasnt safe and after asking multiple times to be changed rooms he finally told us we could change rooms but it wasnt clean and so we had to wait for the maid to come and clean it which wasnt until 2am so we had to sit around the pool until it was cleaned then when we eventually got in the room it didnt have a balcony which we had paid for and was even smaller than the original room we were put in.
After two days we were then told we had to move back to the original room as the room we had been put up in was for people whos flights had been delayed - a courtesy room which people paid 30 pounds a night for, they had the cheeck to tell us that THEY were the ones loosing out on money because of us! We had paid almost 800 pound for a room there! So when we moved back to our original room the airconditioning had been fixed however the balcony was not!
Half way through the week there was an accident with our friends bed, one of the pannels broke however after the manager looked at it and screwed it back into place our friends slept on it for the rest of the week without any uncomfort we were then told we would have to pay 100 euros before we could have our passports back so when we reluctantly handed them the money we were then told the bed wouldnt be fixed until after we had departuted, the bed probably still hasnt been fixed!
We found the staff on the reception to be rude our friend asked for clean sheets as theres hadnt been changed and she was told to 'go away' as they had 'other problems to deal with!'
All in all we packed and unpacked 6 times and we only stayed for a week we were VERY dissapointed with the hotel it looks nothing like it does on the website and we are currently in the process of complaining to thompson about the money we have lost! I will say again that it is not a family hotel!!!! and would advise everyone to steer clear from this hotel!!

Cleanliness - maids came daily. Sheets/towels changed 3/4 times a week. We asked for clean towels a few times and got them without hassle aswell since we didn't bring any of our own. Pool area very clean, limited sun loungers but if you are up before midday you are ok.
Staff - very friendly and helpful. recpetion staff get to know you and helped us out when one of our friends left leaving a girl in a room herself. offered us a room for 3 as opposed to the 2 rooms of 2 we originally had. also we had no bother booking the room for another night as our flight times meant we would be out the room for a long time. Bar staff are easy to chat to and give out free mouth shots when you buy drinks (always good since drink prices are expensive on the strip). it is a 24 hour reception, makes the place seem secure as it is always manned. Maids are very pleasant and will come back later in the day if you don't want them in.
Pool Bar - food/drinks prices are not overly cheap but are reasonable. food is your general english grub toasties etc, only served during the day til like 6 or something. Happy hour every night between 7-10. And a lot of nights they do an hours free bar for 10euros. As many drinks as you can drink ... good value before a night out. On a thurday they do a 2 hour free bar and barbecue for 25 euros.
Location - it's about a 10 minute walk from the main strip and a 15 min walk from the beach. there is a supoermartket practically next door. and the best indian in laganas a 2 minute walk away (Taj Mahal).
Amenities - the rooms have a toaster, kettle, hob, pots, cutlery, plates/bowls, sink. everything you'd expect really. safes and air conditioning are also available.
Overall I had a brilliant fortnights stay here and would recommend for any young holiday makers looking for a good time. Defintely would go back if I was returning to Zante and would recommend my friends to stay here!!

I just back from my holiday today. I stayed at this hotel 1 night as i moved hotels after that because this was the most disgusting place i have ever stayed. The room was dirty, covers where missing off drains in bathroom that stank, plug sockets hanging off walls drunk morons banging on your door at 4am, the list goes on and on. my partner and I paid a further £300 to move hotels on top of what we have already paid but the best £300 i have ever spent. my advice is AVOID this hotel!!
if i could rate this -10 i would.

me and my boyfriend aged between 18 - 21 stayed here for 2 weeks in May 2011. Rooms were good, average facilities, cleaners were in almost daily, beds and towels changed about 2 or 3 times a week. Didnt try the hotel food, but drinks were kind of expensive and we once got shierkied for taking own drinks down, woooops!!! be careful if yous do this bcos a man is always looking to see no-one has own drinks!! Location is fab, about a 2 min walk from bars and restaurants, about a minute walk from a supermarket, and a laundrette is right facing hotel. Would recommend eating at Vanilla restaurant, Bon appetite, Cicero or Bocca BBQ!!! would also recommend tryin some local food such as a gyros pitta!!! Internet available at reception for 3 euros for half hour or 4 for a hour. Would also recommend goin on the cruise around island, its 25 euros pp however its a full day trip and you see some lovely sights, and can also take own food and drink own boat!! Pool area and jacuzzi, are clean, limited loungers so make sure your down early to reserve one!! Also our flight goin home wasnt until late so we booked the room for an extra day which cost 25 euros, however it didnt have a pool view. Overall, we had a great time and would go back :) !!!!

The hotel room was dirty, the pool area was not cleaned once in the two weeks I stayed, limited sun loungers so you had to fight for space and a chair. The staff are rude, charge you for directions (not even a map) just verbal directions. The beer is about 40% more expensive than any other bar on the island.
If you like overpriced beer, poor service, awful food, dirty hotels and rude staff- then this is your place.
If you like fair prices, good service, good food, clean hotels and polite staff- then book somewhere else.

i stayed here in june 2010 as a group of seven girls all aged 18 and 19 and even by our standards it was barely passable.
there are either steep stairs leading to the main entrance or an even steeper ramp which was wet and very very slippy. major hazard! the reception staff were friendly for the most part but we tended to be shouted at for things we did not even do (and if you're wanting to bring people back to your room, be prepared to face a baseball bat!...) we had to pay for aircon and a safe key (though not entirely as 'safe' as we thought as they were situated by the front doors of a sometimes unmanned reception desk.)the room was very basic and not very clean - the kitchen consisted of one hob ring, a sink, a fridge, dirty cutlery and a few pans. Our television did not work, the shower broke after 2 days and our friends aircon leaked all over their cases.
the pool area was nicer, however. it was big-ish but there werent enough sunlongers and even they were chained to the wall so you couldnt move them about. the food from the poolside bar was apparently nice, but i chose not to have any because the lady that cooked it had a cigarette in one hand while she made your sandwich.
The resort of laganas, dont get me wrong, is brilliant, however, for those looking for a clubbing holiday as most clubs are open from 11 til dawn. there are countless deals for bars and restaurants but you may find you compromise on food quality. people smoke absolutely everywhere so if you dont like smoking, bear that in mind.
i wouldn't recommend this hotel other than for its location, especially not to families. i would be embarrassed to come here with mine.

I just spent 3 weeks in the Atlantis Hotel in Laganas. I found it faultless and would not hesitate to stay there again. The hotel in my mind is very underated and is clean, well run, and has pleasant staff. The rooms are well decorated and the the pool area is well mentained. I am looking forward to staying there next year when i visit Laganas
