Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque Resort Reviews
" My wife and myself have just returned... "
Submitted By: Mr M G BELL
My wife and myself have just returned after spending 2 weeks at this stunning hotel. Everything was how we dreamt it would be.
The grounds were well kept, grass cut short, pools clean as well as the surrounding areas.
The staff couldn't be more helpful, polite and there for you every minute of the day. Everything was to the highest standard.
We will definately be returning. Our only complaint was the 2 weeks went to quick.

" I recently stayed at the Gran Hotel... "

I recently stayed at the Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque with my mother and 2 young children. Arriving at the hotel at midnight we were led through a maze of corridors to our suite, which was only accessible down 2 flights of steep steps - a nightmare with a pram. I indicated that the room was unsuitable and was advised to contact reception in the morning.
The next day I spoke to the duty manager who informed me that we could not be moved as the hotel was fully booked. This was clearly not the case as the hotel seemed to be half empty and many parts of it were closed down. Only 1 of the 11 restaurants was open. The room itself was extremely shabby, particularly given its £460 per night price tag and the fact that this is a 5 star hotel.
The room was crammed with tacky furniture, all of which had seen better days. The bathroom was appalling. The shower was broken and the plastic spa bath was in need of a good clean. The aqua di parma products in the bathroom had been opened and not replaced - disgusting.
I am surprised that this hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and falls far short of the luxury which it boasts.

The breakfast is excellent, the staff are curtious.
We had a tour of the facility and even had a 20 minute complimentary spa visit which was very appreciated to say the least.
We have stayed at many 5 star hotels / resorts, this HAS to be my favourite.
