Castelli Hotel

The Castelli Hotel was certainly not to my liking, you do get welcomed in with orange juice which gave it a nice touch but after the shoddy introduction it went downhill from there. In Spiris's words :-"it is the best hotel in the island"....NOT!!!
The first day they didn't bother with you until you asked for a safety deposit box or a fridge which you had to pay 40euros for each! Every night the crickets started to chirp and even if the doors were closed it still rang through your ears ,and don’t get me started on the breakfast it could not have been worse.
An egg cup full of cornflakes and some bread. For the price I paid I should have been waited on hand and foot. The food was good, excellent pizza bar man cheery, daughter Maria very polite.
If you wanted to watch TV there was a little tiny bit at the corner where you can watch the news the god channel orAPC-H45-1. I would not recommend a second trip.

Clean and fresh. Not bad pool with pool bar. No air conditioning. Be warned your key fits most other people’s doors.

Breakfast is traditional basic, roll and small slices of meat and cheese. small orange juice coffee, peaches with yogurt if you prefer, not great for kids as you get sugar size bowl of cornflakes.
The owner of hotel always at reception for handing in of keys or rental of most things, fridge, fan safety box etc, or advice or help. He’s not that great with kids though as he likes a quiet run hotel, doors close at 2am, so if you locked out too bad.
Be warned he can be un-amused if accidentally don’t hand in key before you go out and about, also leave exactly at ten if not before leaving date. If using phone in room - expensive. Shower soaks floor so be quick.

Me and my wife have just returned from yet another fabulous holiday at The Castelli. Spiros, Anastasia, Maria and their wonderful Staff cannot do enough for you.
The place is absolutely spotless and clean and the location is spot on, just a nice leisurely stroll down to the beach where there are lots of Tavernas to choose from, one we particularly liked was iFratelli where we were looked after very well.
This was our third visit to The Castelli and we booked for next year before we left.

I cannot believe the review I have read previously. It just doesn’t make sense. I have never been to such a friendly hotel. It will knock you back how nice the owners are and their daughter Maria. The hotel was extremely clean and breakfast, although continental was fine. The ages of the occupants raged from us being 20 to 60 yr olds. The walk to the beach is certainly not uphill.
To prove that the hotel is so good - there were people there that have now been 20+ times.
If you give the hotel respect, they will give lots back
The only regret I have is going with Thompson - the next time we go we will certainly be booking direct with the hotel.
