Restaurants are in abundance. Have to say Paporo was pretty good. Bars? Lots. Feel I want to give a special mention to Jokers - just up from the crossroads towards Katastari but very near to centre. What lovely people. The bar had a quiet couple of weeks while I was there but deserves to do really well. If you want to chat to local Greeks, the owners are 3 Greek brothers and they're very entertaining. They even sorted out my accommodation for my second week and organised my return taxi to the airport! Don't get me wrong, by quiet I don't mean dead. I rolled out of there at 4 some mornings! It's just not tacky! GREAT PLACE.
My accommodation the first week was Lofos studios and it was fine. Big room, huge balcony although I think I was lucky and got the best room in the place. The second week I stayed in private studios as organised by my newly adopted Greek family in Jokers bar. If you do go, say Hi to Diane, Adonis, Dimitris and Tina from me!
