Wonderful stay at Bellonias Villas
from princessdavina
My boyfriend and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Bellonias Villas Santorini. It is not often that you stay at accmodation which looks as good as it does on the website, but this one does! It was a pleasure to sit sipping a cool drink from the well-stocked bar, which does amazing cocktails, in the jacuzzi whilst looking out to sea! The accomodation is very clean, modern and cool. We needed the air-con, which is included in the price as the temps hit over 40! The beds by the pool are free and the pool area is gorgeous, my only complaint is that some very annoying children were at the hotel and were not controlled by their american parents - so much so, that we decided to take the beach option after the first two days - which was a shame as you had to pay for sunbeds there. It is my view that this hotel should be made adults only, as it is so lovely and chic, it really has no activites for children and quite frankly, they spoil the ambience. The food at the hotel is great, service fantastic and the staff are so accomodating and friendly. The main promonade has many bars and resturants. Skaramagas is fantastic for fresh fish - but go on a week day when it is freshly caught, Nicheteri is AMAZING, what great food and drink. The only bad meal we had was at Eanos, which was pure and utter filth - don't go into this restaurant, my Mousakka resembled meat from dog food and was fowl. I can throughly recommend the Dinner with the Gods evening, run by Kamari Tours - fab food and a simply breathtaking view of the sunset over the Caldera, one not to be missed on this stunning island. Also, don't miss a visit and wine tasting at Santo Winery - you can also view the world famous sunset from here. All in all - I would throughly recommend a holiday here - apart from the loud americans and filthy meal - this was by far one of the best holidays I have had.
Wonderful relaxing friendly hotel
from cartman173
We had booked Bellonias Villas from our travel agent on the basis of photographs in the catalogue and were not disappointed. What a wonderful hotel run by a young man with the support of friendly young staff only too willing to help. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of food available to set you up for the day. Fresh orange juice was available to all, all you needed to do was ask. The room was excellent with almost deseigner bathroom and very clean cool and spacious. Free air conditioning and satelite tv but who wants to spend time in the room with that lovely pool which is just a stroll across the seafront promenade onto the beach. There were extra new giant sized sunbeds added whilst we were there. The island is small with good transport facilities and getting about is not a problem. If you hire a car there is on site parking available. We had a wonderful time and it is one of the few places we would go back to.
The nicest hotel & staff we had in Greece
from flansy
We stayed at Bellonias Villas for three days in May. This was a funny time to stay in Kamari, as it was mostly closed and the town was just gearing up for the tourist season. Although not many places were open around us, we loved it as we had the town and the hotel mostly to ourselves. The rooms were large (especially by European standards) and artfully decorated. We loved the granite floors, but took note to be careful when they got wet. Also, if you have a snorer sleeping in the room, you might also want to note that there is a bit of an echo. The staff was VERY friendly, and every morning when we had breakfast by the pool, we watched them working so hard getting the pool and the courtyard ready for the day. This was so impressive, as there were only a few of us staying there. However, you could tell they took great pride in their property. The desk staff was always helpful with a piece of advice, teaching us a new Greek phrase, or just chatting. I really can't express enough how great I thought they were. The bus service to Fira was great and we could always get a taxi if we didn't want to wait. Our group much preferred staying here, than in the larger tourist areas of the island. We had simply a lovely stay.

i would strongly recommend staying here it was fantastic: *clean rooms-ours had a separate kitchen and living area plus a jacuzzi bath... *excellent location right across the road from the beach *friendly & helpful staff always willing to assist you *beautiful pool area with plenty of sun beds/shade *excellent location for all bars, restaurants and shops *only 15 mins from airport with little aircraft disturbance *adult orientated designs and features, seems very popular with honeymooners *overall best hotel in resort that we had seen, would have been gutted if we hadn't booked here and seen it
The Best Experience
from RR920
My two friends and I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for three days - not nearly long enough. The hotel is located directly accross from the beautiful black sand beach of Kamari. It is by far one of the best hotels on the strip (beach front). The staff were some of the nicest and most helpful hotel staff I've ever met. They were friendly, polite and very flexible. We had a problem getting to Santorini from Crete for the first night of our reservation due to all the ferries being sold out. When we called the hotel to let them know they said "don't worry we'll cancel the reservation for tonight, see you tomorrow". We arrived the next day to a beautiful studio w/ a great little patio. It was even better than we expected. In the hotel there was also a great restaurant and bar next to the pool. The food and drinks were quite good. It was very relaxing, as a posed to the other hotel restaurants that were soliciting people to "come in". Overall it was and amazing experience.
Overpriced
from H.Bueno
It is a good hotel, but I could get much better value somewhere else (Fira, for example). The website has some photoshop enhanced photos, and they are not a truly picture of the hotel. The breakfest was awful, with cold bacon, warm cheese and salami, no fresh juices and croissants that vanished but were not replaced before 9 am. The pool is OK, and the rooms are OK as well, but the bathroom was small and not very well cleaned. Don't bother staying in this hotel.
Best hotel in the Resort
from A TripAdvisor Member
I went to Greece for a quiet relaxing break to enjoy some sun and good food - and I got it! Bellonias Villas was simple, clean and everything we had hoped for. The pool/bar/restaurant area was the envy of all the other hotels nearby and looked more like a boutique hotel on the Cote d'Azur. The rooms were an excellent size and the bed was large and comfortable. My favourite part of the hotel was the food. Quite excellent. Mixture of greek and mediterranean dishes, freshly cooked with quality ingredients. 1 or 2 euros more expensive per dish than the rest of the resort, but more than worth it. Right by the beach as in the website photograph, what more could you ask for. And for under £500 each for the week B&B including our flights from the UK, quality would be hard to beat.
Kamari & Bellonias Villas - Over Rated & Over Priced!!
from nicfitzKent_UK
We just came back from Bellonias Villas - after travelling for many years to different greek islands, kamari comes top of the list for being the most unfriendly and overpriced resort I have ever been too. After "running the gauntlet" every evening to find somewhere to eat (this is what we called trying to go for a walk before or after dinner and being verbally and physically abused for not being dragged into their taverna). We aparently had the best room in the hotel which did have a seaview, large terrace and outside jacuzzi that we did pay a lot of money for! The suite was nice on the surface but not really very practical - the bedroom was up a ladder stair in a loft area with a very low curved roof and the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in - the sitting area had 2 day beds but they were just bits of foam covered with a pretty throw so again most uncomfortable. The breakfast was not worth getting out of bed for - warm cheese, cold meats, bread and jam with the odd bit of fresh fruit - nothing as grand as shown on their website. You also seemed to get preferential treatment if you were Greek - freshly squeezed orange juice instead of orange squash and freshly made coffee instead of coffee from a flask. For 166 euros a night we could have has much superior accommodation elsewhere in the resort or in Fira. All in all we were very disappointed by Bellonias Villas - the bar was nice but again very expensive. Would definately not recommend or ever go there again.
Bellonias Villas is average and not worth the money. Find a hotel with a view!

Bellonias Villas is an average, run-of-the mill hotel stuck right in the middle of a whole row of average hotels on flat Kamari Beach. In my opinion, the reason you go to Santorini is to see the amazing, dramatic cliff views (what they call the Caldera). For the money you pay on this hotel, you can get a great hotel in Oia or Fira where you have amazing views! My husband and I arrived at Bellonias from Mykonos. We were on our honeymoon and less than impressed with the location to begin with. Then, we were shown our room, which was supposed to have a jacuzzi in it. The "jacuzzi" was a small bathtub with jets that we couldn't even figure out how to work. The rooms were clean and neat but basic. Our room opened up into a common area (no view of anything but other rooms—not that Kamari provides a view of anything special). It was not luxurious in any way. There were rusted metal clothes racks outside the door to hang our clothes on. The hotel guide read more like a rule-book of what you could and could not do on the premises. The pool is pretty and has nice white furniture and curtains but it’s really small, and it fills up quickly. The “rule-book” stated that saving seats by the pool was strictly prohibited (probably because of the small size). It was details like these that made me rate this hotel as less than average. My husband and I transferred to another hotel in Oia after only one night, and spent just a little more than at Bellonias. But we got a LOT more in terms of service, homey & welcoming details, and VIEW. Of course, Bellonias still charged us for the other two nights we had reservations (yes, no exceptions even though it was a busy season and we were on our honeymoon). I strongly recommend booking a hotel with a view of the caldera in Santorini. If you want a flat beach, go to another island. And if you want a special hotel, don’t pick this one.
Great Hotel
from ErinS
This is a terrific hotel. It is so beautiful. I couldn't believe the price we paid for this lovliness, only 90 Euros a night. The breakfasts were large buffets, and they'd help you out with special requests. The hotel is right across from the black beach of Kamari. The restaurant serves okay food. The bar is terrific. The pool area, beautiful. The room was comfortable, and had bathrobes. I just can't get over how nice this place was for the price.

Spent one week at the Bellonias Villas on a B&B basis. Quite a short hop from the airport and we had arrived. Due to the location the coach could not drop us at the hotel, we had to walk down a short paved lane to the promenade and then 20 metres to the hotel. No big deal,... more
