This is a fantastic hotel! Very original hotel which is a bit of a walk from the centre but has a great location set right on one of the canals. Lovely bedroom, a little small but with original dark wood beams. We had a king-size room overlooking the canal which is a must! There was also a bottle of wine and fruit basket waiting for us in the room on arrival.
Very friendly staff especially in the restaurant. Breakfast was good although seemed a little disorganised at times.
Amsterdam is a lovely, very friendly place to stay. The architecture is stunning. There is much more to Amsterdam than people think.
Would definitely stay here again, a bit pricey but perfect for a romantic long weekend!

A truly elegant hotel that was originally 24 canal houses. The hotel lies between 2 canals, the main entrance is on Prinsengracht.
Our room was on the first floor facing the canal. The furnishings were very comfortable and in keeping with the stylish nature of the place. Gleaming polish wooden floors added that extra touch of luxury. The hotel concierge was a mine of information and gave us details for excellent dinning close by which ranged from perfect pancakes to local delights. They even pointed us to a wonderful cheese shop just around the corner.
In the main building everything was polished and a glass walkway takes you to the restaurant for a breakfast of endless choice and really good quality. At the end of the road is Anne Frank's house and there is a direct tram in one direction to the station and in the other to the Rjiksmuseum.
