Brilliant location,1 min from St Marks Square. Comfortable accommodation for the price paid. Bathroom looked modern and was cleaned daily. Not suitable for people who can't climb steps because there are 60 steps to the main reception!
If you time it right the porter will carry your cases for you. However because your so high up you have a super view of the St Marks bell tower when having breakfast. Location can be a bit tricky but we followed the directions on the web. Cheapest route from airport is the Alilaguna water boat which cost us 10 euros, took 1 hour and 10mins and took us straight to San Marco Vallaresso.
We then followed on foot to Frezzeria where we found the accommodation. Would definitely go back and stay in the same place. Also would recommend a real local 'Ai Bisatel' to eat in on the island of Murano (street- Campo S. Bernado) No frills but the locals eat there which is always a good sign and we certainly got value for money!

We loved our stay at Antica Venezia in the summer and would recommend it highly - in fact our daughter is going next week. Think of the many stairs as free aerobics!
Due to it's age and location it is a totally charming place, steeped in history. The staff were most helpful with our onward travel arrangements.
We stayed at a large chain hotel on our travels in Italy and compared with this, it was modern but cold and unfriendly.
