Well just got back to Birmingham tonight after a fantastic 2 weeks at the El Vita, myself ,Lynn (my wife) and my daughter Natalie had a great holiday and certainly the hottest we have ever had, and we have been to Rhodes 4 times , Met some very nice People Including Simmie, tracey and Debbie from Glasgow..Lynn , Kayleigh and Alan from liverpool, the brummie lot from Highgate Wayne, Karl and there families. Tina, con, and sam from the london area, Plus Mark, Sue and Jess from Lincolnshire, in fact everyone at the hotel were brilliant , favourite staff were the manager and his son. Ardi the lad who seems to be on duty 24/7, Daphne the dutch girl in the supermarket( she was beautiful), and the lovely cheeky Hannah who is the most cheerful person I have ever met, All in All a fantastic time had, would definetely go back to El Vita, possibly the most friendliest Apartments we ever stayed in, hope whoever goes in future enjoys it as much as we did, only downside for us was the BBQ , a little too salty for us, but eh!!! others may like it
Thanks El Vita Staff for making our 2 weeks so enjoyable

me and my friend arrived in july 2008 and we were greeted by a lovely girl called hannah. hello if ya are reading this. she showed us to our room which was 2 minutes away from the pool an right by reception. i was a bit gutted by the size and gutted we only had 1 wardrobe but what does any 17yr old want.
we un-packed and went to the bar for a drink. the staff were lovely including hannah and nikos the day staff and demitri and ardi the lads on the bar at night. lucas the night security man and dafney and ann-marie the women in the super market.
everyone was lovely and we had karaoke on a monday night along with a bbq which i really recommend as it was lovely.
i loved the whole holiday and the weather was brilliant and i am planning on going back out there for about 8 weeks next summer as it was brilliant.
if you like to walk anywhere there is always pefkos about 40 mins walk or 5 euro in ataxi or lardos which is 20-25 mins walk or also 5 euro in a taxi.
there is a lovely bar called cocktails and dreams where me and my friend went very night and lucas an valentina who run the bar are lovely. just accros the road is a lovely place to eat called the gallery which is an english bar an restaurant.
overall i had a good holiday
if you have any problem with your room's linen or towls not being changed just pop down to reception and ask them to ask the cleaners and will happily change them for you
thank you el vita love mary and tammy xxx

Jul 2008, Mrs Peter Hepworth

My friend & i stayed at the El Vita studios in June 2008. We found the accommodation basic but o.k. When we arrived our bathroom hadn't been cleaned and asked to change rooms but the Tomsom rep advised us to ask reception. We found Hannah an English girl working for the hotel, went out of her way to help us and even offered to clean the room herself. She was very kind to us during our 10 day stay and if it hadn't have been for her we wouldn't have enjoyed our stay. we would book again next year but ask for an apartment on the first floor as we didn't feel safe on ground floor. We also thought that the charges for air con should have been included in the cost of the hol. Otherwiswe, a most enjoyable stay.

el vita in september was a great place to stay the pool area was very clean an kept lovely the rooms are quite basic but not any worse than what you usually get on a self catering holiday the only drawback to stayin here is they only do entertainment twice a week a bbq nite an karaoke nite but overall the place still made up for this it was really quite at nite for the people with families as the bar shut at 12 an if anyone stayed after then they still got served but quietly there is an internet room which kept the kids happy when they were not in the pool an it was also good wen gettin ready as the kids headed there then too !!!
the beach is a bit pebbly but not too much so still good to go to an this was right on the doorstep
all in all a good holiday great place to eat in pefkos enigma is a must an i just wish i had gone there in the day also as you can sit right on the roof the view at nite was nice but wood have been marvelous in the day

Oct 2007, Mr RS Smaldon

Well to start off, I had a fantastic first holiday with my girlfriend, the company made the holiday... awww. Anyway, we arrived at El Vita on the 10th October at around 8:30pm Greek time. We went to Reception and was given our key to the room by a very friendly girl from Liverpool, can't remember her name, but if you read this... Hi'ya hope you ok.
Our room was 213, (To begin with) we got in and had a look around, we were not impressed at all. I thought ok it maybe be basic, but the bathroom window was broken, and left open for all the bugs to get in. The toilet was dirty along with the bath too. The view from the balcony was rubbish, it was a view of a pilon.... Gutted. We had a look round, and spoke to an old couple, an asked about their room, they said it was basic but ok and clean. So we went back to the Liverpool girl, and asked to be changed. Can't remember the number of the second one, but it was a lot cleaner, and had a great wet room too. We moved in the same night, and as the cleaner was changing the sheets etc (The cleaner was lovely by the way, very sweet and kind). I saw something very big crawl under the bed...Yup it was a cockroach. We tried to get rid of it with bug spray, but this things was unbeatable. So I found a mop, and smacked it a couple of times. Then chucked it into the grass.....yuk. Made our skin crawl. So that was our first night... We did end up having a couple of beers that night... Just.
The two days after were great, all we did was chill out down at the pool, jumping in every half hour to cool down. We got a lil' drunk the second night, and danced the night away in the bar... whoo hooo...it was great. No one else was dancing, just me and my girl, people must of thought we were MAD... oh yeah... we are..lol. I think that was the BBQ night too.
On the Third day we walked to Lardos, it was a nice walk, a little dead, but it were were right enough, got some nice paintings for home.
Fourth day we had a walk to Pefkos, Not much in the day time, but we had a wonder round, and met up with another couple we know from back home. We walked back and got changed, an took the bus back to Pefkos, for some food with our friends, and we also got totally smashed, it was a great night.
The Fifth day... well, let just say we were a lil' rough from the night before, we chilled out by the pool, read, and had an early night... that's it.
On the sixth day we went to Lindos, and that was the best trip out, lovely place, went up the castle, had great views. Plenty of good shops, and nice places to eat. We spent a good few hours there soaking it up. Fantastic place.
And on the seventh day, we chilled once again by the pool area, until it was time to go home... we left El Vita at around 7pm.
So, El Vita we think, is lovely around the pool area, the food was great, and also the mythos beer, but the rooms are not very good at all, well our two weren't that good. It's a li' walk from Lardos and Pefkos, but it's a nice walk. The company made the holiday for me. Don't think I would go again, but overall, it's a nice little place... thanks to all the crew that worked there... see ya later.. Ric an Gem

My Boyfriend and I stayed at the El Vita for two weeks in September 2007. Overall it was a great holiday, it was our first holiday together and the resort was perfect for us as we didn’t want anywhere too noisy.
The pool area and bar was fantastic! Plenty of sunbeds and shade (if you burn like me!) and very clean and tidy. The rooms were basic but also very clean and spacious with good views of the sea and surrounding gardens. The night life in Lardos is quiet but there are a few good bars/resturants just down the road from El Vita. I recommend taking a taxi (around 5-6 euros) into Lardos village, there is an amazing restaurant there called Valentinas.
Also there are many bars and restaurants in Pefkos which is about 9 euros in a taxi. Visit Lindos (9-10 euros taxi ride) and walk around all the stalls which are set out like a maze then chill out which a good serving of hand made ice cream!
I really enjoyed the holiday and the resort.

Oct 2007, Mr P Haynes

Have just returned from staying at the El Vita apartments (yesterday). We looked at the reviews before we left and were not sure what to expect. But after spending a week there we can agree with the positive reviews on this site.
As has been previously stated, rooms were basic and clean, cleaners come most days and clean towels were left when requested. The site was as the brochure said with easy access to the swimming pool, bar and beach (although beach is a bit stony). The staff were polite and very helpful, and the supermarket on site was good.
There were restaurants and bars near by with Cocktails and Dreams being our favourite. Valentina made us feel like part of the family. Lardos village is about a twenty five minute walk or 5 euros cab fare, with Roulas and Valentinos serving excellent food.
There is easy bus access to Rhodes (4.70 euros), Lindos (1.20 euros), Pefkos (1.20 euros) and the taxi drivers are always willing to help out.
We would recommend Eli Vita and would definitely revisit Lardos.

We had a great holiday this year. The resort was lovely and quiet if you don't like lively places. The apartments were basic but very clean and had everything that you would require for a 2 week holiday.
There was lots to do on the island inc tours of the islands, water parks, shopping, and boat trips around the island and to Turkey.
We booked the holiday through Thomson and they are the best travel company I have used. They were very effective and efficient and I cannot fault their customer service.
The holiday rep @ Thomsons was very good as well. She had a wide knowledge about the island and recommend places to go and things to see.
Overall great place to go.

Overall we had an excellent holiday; all we wanted to do was get away from work and relax. The El Vita is perfect for doing just that.
The apartment was a basic Greek self catering apartment, 2 single beds, 2 ring cooker, wardrobe with plenty of hangers, and various other cupboards. But sadly no TV.
The apartment was fairly clean and the towels changed daily.
The pool area had more than enough sun loungers; however people still put their towels out by 8.oo each morning. The pool was lovely and clean, as was the gardens.
All the staff was friendly and spoke good English.
The food was very good, quite good value for money and once a week there is a BBQ which I would recommend.
Also there is a karaoke night, a few people got up, but it was mostly staff and kids who joined in.
The rep arranged a quiz night, which was a bit of a fix, as the couple who won was there the week before and managed to score 50 out of 50, however it was good fun.
A short walk away was a very good Chinese restaurant, and also in Lardos Town was a roof top restaurant where I had the best steak and peppercorn sauce I have ever tasted.
We didn’t go on any trips, but all of Rhodes is lovely.
The only negative thing I would say was if you wanted to use the sun loungers on El Vita's bit of beach you had to pay 3 Euros each.
I would go there again, but there’s lots of other Greek Islands to try first.

Me and my partner Steph escaped the Scottish weather and headed off to Lardos for a week. When we arrived the hotel was pleasant, staff helpful and beer cold. (Good start to the holiday)
After catching up with some sleep we headed off into Lardos Town which was only a 25 min walk away. Traditional Greek village, very quiet during the day but becomes livelier at night!!
Next day we headed off into Pefkos, this was allot more livelier. Hired a moped for a day and explored Lindos (nicest beach around) done some shopping in the busy streets (got some real bargains) Scottish vodka for 6euros 90 a litre.
All in all a good week only one moan the beach at el vita could have been a little more sandier. Respect to all at the El Vita Keep up the good work.

My husband and I went to Elvita for 2 weeks in May this year and we loved it. The apartment was basic but very clean and we had a sea view which was stunning. The pool area is lovely and the staff are fantastic.
We went into Lardos Village a few times and would recommend Roulas, the food was fantastic. We also went into Pefkos and Lindos which were also crammed with good pubs and really nice restaurants. We also hired a car for 3 days (50 euros) and we went into Rhodes town which was beautiful.
This is our first visit to Rhodes and we will definitely go back to El Vita. This hotel was rated a 3 star but for friendliness and laughs we would give it a 5 star every time.
