" My family have been going to the... "
Submitted By: Mrs Christina BevensWe love it so much that out of the years we have gone to the Cosmos Maris up to 3 times a year. We love it so much that we actually had our wedding vows renewed on our 10th wedding anniversary in 2003. Georgina, Lukas and Maria along with all our friends in Lardos came along and made our specialday even more so.
Our daughter learned to swin in the pool at the Cosmos and it is so safe that my daighter and i have even gone on our on in the height of the season when it is too hot for my husband. He had no worries at all about us because he knows what a safe place it is.
To escape the stress of the Uk, I would not go anywhere else. And just to say, I am not a person in my older age, I am actually 36 and we started coming to the cosmos when I was 27 and my daughter was only 4. It can be whatever type of holiday you want. If you want to go clubbbing, you have Lindos on 10 mins away by car. If you want a traditional Greek experience ,then go into the Village of Lardos on an evening, especially at the end of the season when they have a big village party where all the local children from the dance schools dance in the village square.
If you want to get away from civilization then the west coast of the island is your best route.
Whatever you want from your holaiday , the Cosmos is the best base you can have.
We have seen Georgina and Angelos' son George married to Irene and the birth of their first child, Vangelos.
Over the years, the family has a great way of making your family feel part of theirs.
We love the place so much that my husband and I are making plans to retire to the village.
I cannot think of a better place to live out your later years.
Top, top place. I defy anyone to have a bad holiday at the Cosmos Maris

Submitted By: Pilona2 minutes down the road is a great restaurant - Dimitra (try the moussaka), supermarkets, cocktail bar (try the Sexy Greek or Raspberry Blossom) and car hire.
2 kilometres down the road is the traditional village of Lardos with great bars and restaurants.
There are also so many beautiful places to visit on Rhodes.

" We have just returned from a very... "
Submitted By: Mrs L MacBrayneIt is run by George and Georgina and their family who were so friendly and made everyone feel like they too were one of the family! The apartments themselves were absolutely spotless (as was the whole hotel).
There is a very reasonably priced snack bar serving excellent food and drinks. Entertainment is on a Monday night consisting of a Greek night one week and a karaoke night the next week - the Greek night in particular is not to be missed and is great fun.
We went in the first two weeks of October. We were very lucky with the weather in that most of the time we had warm sunshine - easily warm enough for sunbathing and swimming (although the pool is freezing!). I would not recommend visiting this area any later than this, as the village was definitely starting to close down for the season - several of the bars and tavernas (especially those near the hotel) were already closed.
The village of Lardos is approx 2 km away - we used to walk it most nights, taking 20-30 mins but taxis are readily available, and the hotel will call one for you. There are several bars and restaurants in the village - our favourites were Valentinas and Roulas, and the Yamas Bar was also excellent (run by the a member of George and Georgina's family?)
Would highly recommend car hire to see the rest of the island - the west coast is beautiful and not developed at all. Our favourite place was Prasanissi - an exposed bar of sand at the southernmost tip of the island, and one of the few places where you can swim in the Aegean sea on one side of the beach and the med on the opposite!!
Only two slight negatives - firstly the supermarkets near the apartments are very basic and very expensive, however eating out is so cheap that you probably won't need much in the way of supplies!! Secondly there is a large hotel complex opposite the apartments which played unbelievably loud music every night from its open air disco/theatre - and I mean LOUD!! Luckily it does not go on too late, but it really got on our nerves after a few days!!
Overall, we would highly recommend the Cosmos Maris, and look forward to returning next year. If you are considering this hotel then book it, you will not be disappointed!!

" Well, this was our favourite holiday!... "
Submitted By: Mrs C McAleerThe rooms were big, and spotless! We had a balcony with a sea view! The pool area has plenty of free sunbeds and even a baby pool. The bar/restaurant bit is big and under cover incase you want to hide away from the hot sun.
The location was perfect for us. The hotel is set back a bit from the road so is a bit quiet, (which is what we love at bed time). There are about 5 restaurants 2 min walk away, and 3 shops and a few bars. Lardos, which is a 20 min walk away, has the most popular restaurants, Roulas, Valintina's, and the Old House to name a few. Pefkos, and Lindos are bigger with much more to see. Taxi's are 5 Euros, and the bus only costs 1.20.
All in all, I would recommend it to anyone!

" I and my partner have just got back... "
Submitted By: Miss L CudworthWe couldn't fault a thing, they were the cleanest apartments we’ve ever seen, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, food was lovely, and pool was beautiful. We will definitely be visiting again very soon.
If you’re going to hire a car do so with George who hire shop is just across the road, prices are unbeatable!!
The busiest part of Lardos is about a 20 minute walk, definitely pop into the Yamas bar and have a George special, and Valantinas for something to eat which is excellent (especially the seafood)!!
There are plenty of beautiful beaches about, are favourite was one just as you come into Lindos on the hill you turn a sharp corner and go back down and you'll see a cove, the waters are crystal clear and perfect for snorkelling!
Our holiday was perfect a definite 10/10!

" The Cosmos Maris is a fantastic... "
Submitted By: Mr A CaschettoGeorge and Georgina always make you feel welcome and really go out of their way to accommodate you for any needs you may have.
The apartments themselves are nice and fairly spacious; they are always clean as the cleaners come round everyday to ensure this.
If you are one of the lucky ones at the front of the hotel you can get a sea view (it’s a distant sea view but it’s still a sea view).
The rooms are well air conditioned but only if you pay that little bit extra (I’d highly recommend this because it gets a bit hot in the summer).
The poolside bar is good at any time of day as it allows you somewhere to get out of the sun and relax with a nice drink. On an evening you could find yourself treated with a Greek night which is a lot of fun or have time to embarrass yourself on the karaoke.
There are a couple of other bars and restaurants near the Cosmos but if you want a real Greek experience head into Lardos village. There are some good restaurants in the village including the fantastic Oopaa tarvena (if you ask Sami nicely he'll even pick a table up in his mouth for you) and the best bar in Lardos "Yammas".
If you're reading this George and Georgina we'll see you in 2007 and we can't wait to meet the new arrival.

Submitted By: Mrs K L HaynesEverything was fantastic about our holiday - the accommodation is excellent, the food is superb and George definitely makes you feel like one of the family instead of just a room number.
Nothing is too much trouble at the Cosmos Maris, it really is a wonderful place.
Also, Thomson have a great rep in the place (Matt) - he's a good laugh, does a fab quiz night and can give as good as he gets! : )
If you are going to the Cosmos Maris then stick around for the Greek Night, it's hilarious!
