" Anixis Apartments "
Submitted By: jillpainterThe apartments are very clean, comfortable and well maintained. There is a bar/lounge area with a varied choice of meals available throughout the day. The apartments have their own, well stocked Supermarket/Gift Shop, Jewellery Shop and Internet Cafe.
There is a children's play area with swings and the swimming pool has a seperate fenced off small shallow pool for the younger children.
Glynis, Stamatis and their staff are very welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, which makes these apartments home from home.

" We were actually staying up the road... "
Submitted By: Mrs K MurphyWhilst the pool and garden were small, my kids who were 13 & 15 made loads of friends and preferred to spend time there. We were made very welcome by Glynis, Caroline and Sergot(?) who made us very welcome and we were sadder saying goodbye to them than at our own apartments where the staff were unfriendly. Sergot is a master at pool and always had time to play the kids and enjoyed playing my husband as they were of a similar level.
Glynin would offer lifts home to us and other people who did not stay at their apartments, nothing was too much trouble.
Not sure I would go to Ixia again as the main busy road is a nightmare. One night our kids went out for a meal with a large group of friends they'd made - ages ranging from 18 - 13 and all the parents were concerned about them crossing the road alone but it ain't cool crossing them over!!!! Luckily they all got back safe and sound!!!

" Our party had an enjoyable, relaxing... "
Submitted By: crlparker78The people who run the establishment were very friendly and helpful, as the lady is English there is no problem with communication if one needs information.
Tthe accommodation was clean and basic as with all self catering-we always eat out and have never attempted to cook anything for ourselves, the apartment facilities are just not up to it in our opinion (this applies to almost all of the S.C. we have been to, not just the Anixis).
Ixia itself is small and uninteresting so we walked the approx 1 mile into Trianda which had far more restaurants and shops, we thought the Messegious restaurant felt traditional and was good value, turn right at the traffic lights in Trianda, about 300yds down on the left.
The local bus service was frequent and we used it to get to Rhodes town, this is well worth a visit, the old town is fantastic, you could explore the ancient streets for a week and not see it all.
The big downside was when we got picked up on the return journey, the pickup time was 16.00 to 16.30 and as the coach does not pick up outside the lobby but opposite the apartments on the very busy main road.
I had to wait and watch for it for a half hour, you then had to get your family together and cross this road unassisted (which is the main north road to Rhodes town) with all your luggage, for anyone with children this was potentially dangerous.

" My girlfriend and I both wanted a... "
Submitted By: Mr DL LyonsAnixis was all of these. If you're looking for somewhere with a bit of life but not to energetic, somewhere with a choice of fine restaurants, and somewhere not too far from the main city itself.
The rooms where minimal but came with all the basic needs expected on a self catering basis. The maids changed the bed sheets everyday!
The staff were more than friendly to help with any questions regarding trips, bus routes/times etc.
The pool was basic but well maintained.
The supermarket next door was owned by the family who also run the apartments and this catered for all your holiday needs. I will say the supermarket sells large bottles of Amstel at 95c and the hotel bar sells them at 3 Euros so we bought them from there and still drank them pool side.
10 minute walk to the nearest village.
10 minute bus ride. (bus stop right outside resort and arrive every 20 minutes)
10 minute walk to pebble beach. (Very sore on the feet be warned)
Bakery across from resort. (if you have sweet tooth then you'll love it).

Submitted By: Mrs R LiddleThey catered for all age groups and worked exceptionally hard to ensure that every request was dealt with promptly and efficiently. A holiday where the cares and worries could be forgotten for a full 2 weeks. We all enjoyed this and cannot wait to go back to sample the hospitality and friendliness of everyone at the Anixis.
