Booked this holiday through Thomas cook for a one week stay! Arrived on the monday and as soon as checked in was cornered by the reps to book into the excursions! We booked 3 each and handed over 480 euros! On the Tues we meet at the reception to get the tickets to the "school disco" excursion to be told that they didnt have our tickets, after waiting for about an hour on of the female rep came over and told us that they didnt could find our tickets and would have to call there office.She then came back to advise there wasnt the full 240 euro there and that 50 suro was missing and would we have to pay the extra if wanted to attend. Following that we requested our money back, which she was not to happy about however they did give minus the missing 50 euro.
Following that the holiday got even worse as on the wednesday evening when walking along the strip, two young boys on a bike drove past and rip my bag off my shoulder which contained aprrox 300 euro in cash also an iphone and digital camera. When advising the holiday reps about this they advised i would have to report this to the local police however would have to get a taxi to and from which would approx cost 40 euro as 20 euro each way. As all cash was located in purse this was not possible so was left with no cash for remainder of the holiday.
Kavos itself is very unclean with rubbish lying everywhere on the streets and the smell of sewerage is horrendous. There is no pavements so the strip is very busy with cars and bikes driving at ridiculous speeds past you.
If considering Kavos as a holiday destination i would highly recommend to read all reviews before booking.
This will not be a place that i will be returning!!!

Trabukos is smelly vile and unclean with reps who are cretins trying to rip you off. As for kavos, I wouldn't let a dog live there and flew home after 3 days because of he filth/ scummy people/ lie atmosphere. M never going with Thomas cook again.

me and 13 other lads stayed in Kavos at start of july 2011, 8 of us stayed in the trabukos and 5 stayed in the barn complex 5mins walk away,we flew overnight so last thing we wanted was for the reps to pester us when we got to hotel , we got to hotel at around 6.45 and by time reps had done all there talkin it was gone 8 so we wernt that happy about that, this was properly the only down part of the holiday. we had 3 rooms across the hotel and 2 of them had balconys and 1 did'nt but that did have 2 bathrooms what was quite odd,in the room i stayed in we got lucky as had balcony and had good view of sea so this was the main room for every1 to meet and have pre drinks. the rooms are what we expected been 18-30 so was basic but just what you need a bed to sleep in. the pool it self is what you expect a bar and pool but we ended up at the barn most days as had internet ps3 bar food and a pool what was quieter and did'nt have to pay for sun beds what you had to in the trabukos 2.50 a day so can add up over a week. the nightlife in kavos was none stop and stayin in trabukos you are right next to buzz on the main strip and then got atlantic behind what is open till 7am so if you like ur late nite club perfect hotel as can role straight into bed. on the main strip though the PR people are like pr people everywhere stoppin you every 10 yards but we found best idea was to go in bars where free bars for a hour for 10 euros, they say 10 but most nights got it down to 7 euros so worked out cheaper nights. food wise we ate out most nights but would recomend everyone to go the steak house , it may be abit off the main stip but was the best meal we had by a mile and they dont mess around with portions. overall this was best holiday we have all been on and would recomend kavos to everyone but would say go the caprice hotel by the baan complex rather than trabukos even though the trabukos hotel is in a great location. all in all a great holiday :)

This hotel is a clubbers paradise. Its the most popular hotel in Kavos and has a great atmossphere. There isnt much entertaining during the day but do you really want people forcing you to do games when you have a banging headache from the night before? 3 star might b a bit generous with the rooms but hey there relatively clean. My room didnt have any ants but some of my friends rooms did and also the air con doesnt work in all the rooms. The surrounding noise is loud but honestly you get used to it and to be honest the smell that everyone talks about didnt bother me at all. If your going to kavos you shouldnt stay anytwhere else. TIP: Dont buy the club 18-30 package its a total rip off and everything they offer you , you can get on your own for much cheaper.

This was our first girls holiday and was a bit apprehensive staying in Trabukos as we had read alot of mixed reviews! We got there and was shown to our room straight away along with a Thomas Cook rep, they were really pushy but we said no to all the excursions and then didn't really bother with us the rest of the holiday which we didn't mind!
We arrived at about 4 in the morning and after being shown to our room went straight to Atlantis which is below our hotel, which we loved and ended up here every night until about 8am! We also went to Venue and Futures when we stayed and got a VIP into Futures which i would reccomend getting if you get the opportunity the que gets quite big when an event is on and they let you jump the que.
The down side to the hotel is the sheets never get changed and are turned over when the maids come which in august heat is pretty dirty. One of the apartments doors also got smashed in when we was out by some boys along our floor, as its a shared balcon. Finally when they admitted it everyone on our floor ended up having to pay for a new one which was highly unfair. We also never got our deposit back as our sheets got marked with marker pens and make-up which was expected and had to pay an added 15 euros for them.
Overall its an amazing place the apartments are in the best position on the strip and would still go back to these apartments, i would definitely reccomend it!

THIS WAS THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER!! There was 6 of us and we got two 3 bed rooms right next door to each other! AIR CONDITIONING IS A MUST, even tho u have to pay its SO worth it!! Trabukos is definitely THE place to be! Everyone you see on the strip is from this hotel others are not worth talking to! The only person I met who wasn't from our hotel was a man from Manchester who taught me a dance but other than that NO ONE! The best bar is BUZZ with Andy G!!!!! He was the coolest DJ ever and is now our facebook friend!! The rooms were very basic, yes the bathroom door didn't shut and it was a handheld shower but HELLO its club 18-30s, its all part of the experience! My friends and I had the most fun in the world and we are annoying the hell out of people by talking about it! BUT WE JUST LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!!!!! The deals the reps give u are a lot of fun especially trinity because EVERYONE is there, the strip is empty when its trinity night! AND DON'T FORGET ATLANTIS TIL 7!!! LOVE YOU KAVOS MISS YOU MARTYN with a Y!!!!!!
P.S for eating theres a chexican (chinese and mexican SO GOOD) called the drunken squid and pennies is a must also! LOVED IT SO MUCH (also go to Rockys we got a free bar for 2 hours for 5 euros and the drinks weren't watered down!) BEST HOLIDAY EVER!
DO NOT GO FOR A FAMILY HOLIDAY ONLY IF U WANT TO STAY OUT ALL NIGHT AND HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE!!!

Me and my partner booked our holiday up through 18 - 30's which we wish we hadnt have bothered. We got to the hotel and as soon as we got there the rep came in the room sat ON the bed and started going on about all the excursions and bar crawls which sounded good until she said that it was going to cost 200 euro's. We said we'd have a think about it as we'd only just got there and she said that we must make up our mind there and then and when we said no she literally STORMED out the room and we never saw the reps again until they were trying to sell us something else towards the end of the week.
The room was small and basic, the bathroom door didnt shut and there was an ant infestation. The shared balcony door didnt lock properley so we couldnt open it at all so it was so hot in the room. 2 days before we were due to go home we found there was no water in the hotel so we ended up having to buy bottles of water to wash and to flush the toilet.
Didn't use the hotel pool as there was a 2 euro charge for sun loungers which i think is disgusting.
Loved Kavos itself, cant wait to go again but will not be staying at Trabukos again.

when we saw some of the reviews we were a bit dubious, but decided to judge for ourselves. first off when we arrived (about 5am) party was in full swing, great, checked in room, terrible! but we knew we were going room only so didnt really expect hilton standards, it was kind of clean, very basic but you soon realise that your not going to be spending much time in there anyway. we decided to go on 4 of the events with the reps and would recommend none, you can get them cheaper and better on the strip. nightlife and atmosphere tremendous, starts to get going about midnight and goes till bout 8am, few hours sleep then back at pool for dj at 11am. Bar you must visit are 42nd street, buzz bar, rolling stone and scorers. clubs to go to are trinity (ok), atlantis (a must, music till 7am then watch sunset on beach). For food try the drunken squid, pennies, tkd's and scorers. If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday dont come here, if you want complete madness and cracking time, meet loads of new people, this is defo for you.

First off, you wouldn't book an 18-30's holiday if you just wanted to relax by the pool and go to bed at 11pm really would you?! These other people who have cried about this hotel are out of their minds and need to get real. I booked this holiday spur of the moment with my best mate and it's the best thing ever - just take some disinfectant wipes and your own sheet/towels with you and you'll be reet!! We arrived at half 5 in the morning - went to the room and went straight out to the pool (we did get chatted up by the rep who tried to sell us everything - don't buy any of the excursions, just make friends and plans with them - we made friends with two 18 year olds on the first night and partied with them and sacked off our date with the reps which we did pay for!) The room was basic but it was fine for what we needed..(and we are two fussy girls usually whu enjoy the finer things in life!) the pool was ace and the nightlife was excellent. Try Forum bar at the bottom of town for Karaoke, then work your way up the strip.. there's some kooky restaurants and bars and there's various beautiful boys around :) 42nd Street was our favorite.. it is loud at night in Trabukos but you're out partying aren't you so it shouldn't matter.. i went to bed at about 1 one night and it really didn't bother me much. Seriously get out there and have an amazing time - we'll be going back!!
