Jun 2008, Miss A Dee

I stayed in the Trabukos at the end of July 07 for 2weeks and I was right not to take notice of previous reviews. Yes, our view was of a fence. And yes, our bathroom had a slight problem with ants... but all in all the location and the atmosphere of the place really made the holiday for us. You are directly in the middle of everything, everyone is buzzing and the atmosphere at the pool during the day was fantastic.
For all the time people spend in their room it's unfair to say that the apts had been the downfall of their holday. If you go and intend on staying in your room 24/7 then don't book the place. Simple!
In the end I liked the place so much I've booked it again for 2wks this year and can't wait!

I have been Kavos 3 times with...
9 / 10
May 2008, Miss L Mcilvenny

I have been Kavos 3 times with 18-30’s and stayed in this hotel each time. May 2006 (a week), Sept 2006 (a week) & June 2007 (2 weeks). The 2 week holiday was definately the best; met loads of people and the reps were brilliant they always make you feel welcome. I wouldn't say you do need to buy the packages that 18-30 sell as most of the nights out are bar crawls and you could just tag along with the crowd. The hotels owner and staff are all very polite but tend to keep themselves to them selves. The rooms tend to be cleaned every other day but as the hotel is with 18-30's and only 2 stars i wouldn't have expected much more as you are only sleeping there and getting ready to go out. 2 out of the 3 times i have stayed in the same room which is number 6/7. It’s very spacious, has two big bedrooms sleeping two, big kitchen area and massive balcony shared by neighbours either side. Best room in hotel. The other time had a room with 2 beds in limited space, bathroom and private balcony. The only bad thing about the rooms is that the shower has no shower curtain and you have to hold the shower head yourself. There are quite a few Mosquitoes so if you are prone to being bitten I would take some creams for the bites and plug in’s to keep them away. There are a lot of nice places to eat with deals like 3 courses for about 7.50 euros. We went to Penny’s kitchen and Sizzlers for our breakfast both fast & friendly service and nice fresh food. You definitely need to visit Sizzlers for the evening meal, very nice staff, brill food, lots of choice. The night life is good, cheapish drinks, the best drink which has the most value for money would be a ‘Head******’ it has 6 shots of alcohol in a pint glass topped up with orange and the red stuff that goes in Sex on the beach. Buzz bar is a really good night out depending on what music you like, it plays R’n’B and Dance. The only downfall to the night life would have to be when the music has to be turned off after about 12:30am when the Police are present on the strip, as soon as they drive off the music does come back on but it all depends how long the Police want to park up for. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel if you’re expecting to have a quiet, relaxing holiday. It’s all about partying and drinking. Would definitely travel with 18-30’s again, I am going to Zante in June with 18-30’s and I went to the 18-30’s reunion in November. I would definitely recommend that, it was a really brill weekend and a good place to catch up with every one you met on holiday. Have a nice holiday.

Oct 2007, Miss S.l Lancaster

When I read comments about this holiday before I went, I thought it is going to be an awful! But honestly when we got there it was completely different. It was great.
The rooms were fine, yeah they were basic but you don’t spend much time in there. Where we stayed there was the Club Atlantis right outside our apartment so we had no choice but to stay up till 8 in the morning! No, it goes quiet about 6 ish.
It isn’t that expensive and the reps are cool. The trips are quite expensive but worth the money! There are plenty of bars to choose from and the drinks are quite cheap.
All in all it was a good holiday and I definitely recommend it!

This was probably the best holiday of...

Oct 2007, Miss N Hall

This was probably the best holiday of my life. Before I left I read the reviews on the Trabukos and was very scared, however when you get there it's not as bad as you expect (it's still pretty bad though).
When you get to the hotel the reps try and get you to sign up for all their events, you don't have to do all of them. My friends and I signed up for Trinity when Dave Pearce was playing-what an amazing night! We also did the bar crawls, they are a lot of fun and there is a one hour sometimes two hour free bar at the end. The free bar is in Atlantis, one of the main nightclubs and our room was basically in it, so one night we didn't go on the bar crawl and just joined them at the free bar and got wasted. The reps try to get you wasted before the free bar so you can't drink a lot.
I have to say the reps make this holiday what it is, if you don't sign up to some of their events you are seriously missing out.
As for the hotel itself it’s basically rubbish. Our door wouldn't close unless you locked it properly. The toilet would only flush at certain times in the day. Our balcony looked onto a sign that said 'SEX'. We would rarely get a hot shower and if you want an early night you’re screwed as the music from Atlantis plays till about 7/8am. The pool area was really nice, but just one word of warning just watch out for sunbed man he'll pounce even before you unfold your towel.

Absolute load of RUBBISH! Electric cables hanging out near the kettle and wet surfaces, wasp nest on balcony, mould on cooker rings, maid service? eh?> more like empty bin twice a week and fold the sheets and wet the floor with a mop! Very unhygienic and I am writing my letter of complaint to Thomas Cook NOW! LUDICROUS

Me and my friend were there the last...

Sep 2007, Miss L McEleney

Me and my friend were there the last week of September 2006, its was so brilliant. It was the end of the season so it was quieter but that just made it all the more enjoyable.
We arrived at night, so in the morning at the meeting the reps gave you the usual speech, they weren't pushy and let you choose if you wanted to do the trips. The reps were really friendly and dead helpful, we didn't have any problems but felt confident that if we did that they would be solved.
Because it was end of the season'ish you could actually get served at the bar but I would suggest going with the reps on the nights because the bars could be quieter and so 18-30 put the life into it.
The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were basic but for the money that you pay yoo cant complain. Our room was really quite big and balcony looked over the pool so we were lucky. The pool and pool bar were great, really clean. The beach is 2 seconds walk from the pool, its not the most perfect but its decent.
The hotel has bars, restaurants and shops outside and adjoining the complex so it will be noisy quite late into the night but again it is a club 18-30 holiday so you wouldn't want anything else, that's the whole point of a club 18-30 holiday.
I liked it so much that my friend and I are going again to the exact same hotel September again!!!

Sep 2007, Mr R Herbs

Just come back from Trabukos went with 4 lads. Brilliant holiday would recommend it to anyone!
Did everything at night with the Club 18-30. Was brilliant foam parties, bar crawls, trinity night with judge Jules.
The noise wasn’t a problem as we got in when all the clubs were closed and weren’t bothered about the rooms as we only slept in there. Our curtain was hung up by a spoon and the table only had 3 legs.
Kavos all the way!

Ok, so basically what I want to say...

Sep 2007, Mr J  Cook

Ok, so basically what I want to say is stay away from these apartments! They are very basic and maintenance does not exist. We had basins hanging off, stained sheets, sticky furniture and cutlery that hadn't been cleaned. However, saying that it was a good size and you are only really there to sleep (this is also very difficult because you are literally in the middle of a club).
The reps do hassle you a lot; one was sitting in our room for about an hour going on and on.
Basically do not buy anything off the reps. For the nights out and trips just go and chill on the beach and people will come up to you offering them so much cheaper (10 euros instead of 30). Also do not go on the bar crawls they rip you off.
The beach is fantastic and the bars very nice, you really can relax during the day and definately go to Corfu town it is great!
They charged us for a new key even though there was nothing wrong with it and I proved it worked and that all it needed was glue because the old stuff holding the magnet on was rubbish, no joy - 35 euros! Be sure to point out to the rep everything that is wrong with the room as soon as you get there or you will be charged!
All in all it wasn't terrible but just remembers these 3 things:
1. Do not buy anything off the reps,
2. Make sure you identify everything that is wrong with your room from the offset,
3. Use sun cream!
Kavos itself is a buzzing place me and my mates had a great time! Bring lots of money though!

Feared the worst after reading some...
7 / 10
Aug 2007, Mr S Bellamy

Feared the worst after reading some of the reviews of the hotel on here... However I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel.
Turned up at about 8 in morning which we saw locals clearing up all kinds of crap from streets right outside hotel. The smell was terrible and we wondered what we had ourselves in for.
Check in was fine then rep explains do's and don’ts then tries to sell you all sorts of nights out. (We only done one - Trinity, which was wicked)
The room actually fine!! Basic yes but better than expected. If you are in a group you can expect to be separated but no big deal really. Our room had no bath towels so I asked in reception - as long as you don’t use towels to clean up mess of stand on in the shower they are fine with giving them away. You'll need to ask for extra bog roll too.
The pool is ok, plays loud music all day. I found there to be bit of an atmosphere up there. Loads of blokes showing off in hope of pulling women gets quite annoying. Beach outside is not too great but more relaxed in my opinion.
Hotel is right next to Atlantis night club which opens at about 2 until 7! So sleeping before then (unless very drunk) is not easy. It’s a great club though so take advantage.
As for the resort, it’s a bit of a dump to be fair but you won’t notice the smell after a while. Some clubs are great, some rubbish and you can expect to hear same music almost everywhere. If you liked Zante, this is great for you.

This holiday was a good holiday, the...

Aug 2007, Miss L Brailey

This holiday was a good holiday, the best bar to go to is Rolling Stones and Rockys as the PR's don’t try and drag you in there like all the other bars do.
The people who work out there are very friendly and polite, make sure you take loads of money though as it goes so quick. The hotel was alright part from our balcony door never locked so we had to get that sorted, and there was no lock on the bathroom door, and no shower curtain. The shower just about comes out the hose.

I would definitely go back to Kavos but probably stay somewhere else, like the blue sea apartments or umbrella apartments as there much cleaner and nicer than the Trabukos.
I read the comments before I went n most of them are true, but don’t be put of by them just go and experience it for yourself. It’s an 18-30's hotel anyway so you’ve got to expect the hotel not to be very high.
Part from that we all had a wicked time, and would definitely go back.

When we arrived we gave a deposit of...
2 / 10
Aug 2007, Miss D Graham

When we arrived we gave a deposit of 40 Euros, soon after our Rep lost this and we were given the blame. After she had looked, and tried to get out of this, the deposit was still missing.
After days of arguing over this and being made to feel like we were to blame we were still not given the money back.
We were wary in pursuing this any further whilst there as the rep had ‘warned us’ saying that the hotel could just keep your passport for any reason. We did not want this to happen to us therefore had let this go.
We paid 30 Euros for air conditioning in out apartment. This did not work at all. We had complained to both the reps and the hotel. Nothing was done about this. The fact that the heat was almost unbearable and the fact we had no balcony or water made the accommodation almost impossible to live in.
The hotel was on the main strip; therefore a bit of noise was to be expected. But from 9pm until 5am every night the walls shook with the vibrations from music. It was as if you were in the actual club!
Even with earplugs there was not a chance of getting any sleep whatsoever. We had also complained to the hotel about this and getting moved. Our requests were ignored.
On the last day we had packed to leave the room, we had left and handed in our key. Once we had done this my friend had realised she had left her £150 watch on the bed.
We went back and the watch was gone. We had asked the reception to find the cleaner, as this was the only person who could have had the watch. The receptionist was very rude, shouting at us that they could do nothing about this.
The reps offered no help whatsoever and told us basically it was “tough luck”. By this point the bus was due to come therefore we could not even get a police report to claim back on the insurance.
Most importantly the hotel that we were staying in had no water whatsoever for three and a bit days. This meant no water for toilets, shower or sink. Therefore we were not able to use any of these facilities. We had complained about this several times a day and were assured it would be on in the next hour. It wasn’t!
Having no water meant for three days we could not go out at night as we were unable to have a shower.
Personally I was completely disgusted with the accommodation and it has put me of ever going back to Kavos or booking with Club 18-30 again.
Going on holiday is meant to be a relaxing experience. This definitely did not feel like a holiday and we both came back feeling more tired than when we went away.

Aug 2007, Miss D KENNEDY

Well my friend and I went the first day in May so that’s the start of the season. It was a bit quiet but I thought the reps were good. We did nearly all the trips with them because it was so quiet - pubs and clubs were just starting to open.
I did not like the apartment at all but for all we paid we could not really complain. I was dying to get home. I thought Kavos was a really dirty place - just as well it was only a week. Lol
We met some really nice people. My friend really enjoyed it, it was her first time abroad in 15 years so she loved it. She loved it that much she kept on saying she wanted to stay. After we came back she booked a flight to go back and work.
