Read all the good and some bad reviews before hand wasnt worried as most of the recent reviews were brilliant. booked for the 15th of september, with an extra egar travel agent. made it sound like an amazing place. hmm was he wrong ....YEP! we arrived at like 2.00am it was raining brill start, line up for what seemed like 10 years to get our room when we were finally shown our room it was a small walk up the strip room 58 up some ereeie step nexted to base. No light bulb and **** every where greatr combo. the room was basic at best. doors didnt lock things were broken and the floor was filthy. but it had a bed so that all that was needed really. next morning things brightnted up went to the pool. omg the pool really does make the bad bits seem lesser. really is beautiful. then went to explore the beach just dnt bother even going there looked more like a tip than a beach dirty and smelly. everyone is quite rude at trabukos staff always grumpy. in the evening the place turned into a war zone which was quite amusing really lots of gd places to drink base being extremley cheap. go to base! Drunken squid lush food. went at the end of season so not many place were open but never buy anything of the rubbish stupid reps they reli r crud! must do is boat trip to the main land and blue lagon and jet skiing is a must do as well. in all had an amazing holiday no thanks to the hotel. always loads of amazing people to meet great people and cheap drink dont go to kavos if you want to do anything but drink

Firstly, if you are going to Kavos for any reason other than 18-30 purposes... don't bother.
If you are however take my word for it, it's incredible!!!
5 GOOD:
1. Everything is within half a mile of the Traboukos hotel, so easily accessible.
2. The pool at the Traboukos is the best in the Kavos resort by reputation, and deservingly so.
3. Streets are clean and always plenty of people around.
4. The number of bars/clubs aren't too many so that they alwaays have people in them- everywhere has an awesome atmosphere, and without saying it in as many words, pulling is not an issue in Kavos-
5. Accomodation is more than acceptable for 18-30 and despite other reviews i've read-very clean.
5 BAD:
1. If you like the beach go somewhere else because the beach at Kavos is like an oil slick!! the sand is more like mud and water has bottles and stuff in it. (due to the fact that the bars located on the beach always spill out onto the beach at night, but if you like your clothes don't do this cuz it ruins them) but as i said the Traboukos pool is really really nice.
2. If you like fine dining don't bother with Kavos, apart from 1 or 2 more expensive restaurants the place is purely for younger people, you will be eating pizza for the first week and Pot Noodles for the rest of your holiday (when you start running out of money from drinks prices)... trust me!
First week I recommend Penny's. Bang opposite the Traboukos with quality food and cheap-
Second week- I recommend Chicken and Mushroom! :0)
3. We went for 2 weeks and by the end of it we were a bit fed up of showering with one hand due to holding the "hose pipe" or shower as they call it at the Traboukos, but it's no biggy and can cope with it easily. I was told all hotels are like that in Kavos.
4. Drinks were much more expensive than we expected, and when we were drinking in the day and at night €5 a pop for a bottle of beer thins the wallet out quickly! When money gets tight buy a bottle of vodka and a mixer from one of the many shops and drink in your room til 12 cuz not many are out until that time anyway.
5. When we went me and my friend got beat up quite badly by some of the Greeks there, it happened to another group that we met as well. Unprovoked i would like to add. So my advise would be to avoid aggressive Greeks just walk away or run if necessary to avoid spoilin your holiday by getting hospitalised. Because f you try and fight back; then every Greek in the resort will help to kick you on the floor- regardless of whether you've done anything. Even the english workers there stuck with the greeks.
The reason it happened was because a drunk english lad stumbled into one of the metal shutters of a shop then the locals took it upon themselves to kick him in, and then us too for walking past and being english!
I think it speaks volumes that i say i had an awesome time despite this. Don't let it scare you or put you off it's just that i tried to do the english thing and stand my ground and fight back, but the greeks dont like that, as i say and i didn't stand much chance against 10 of them. Get away from any trouble even by running if need be.

Also i forgot the hotel doesn't provide towels so take 2 or 3 cuz theres no laundrette in kavos! We got Liam to do ours in another town!

Very very noisy as the hotel is just set back slightly from the main strip of bars. The rooms were basic, the sheets were not changed all week and think the room was only cleaned once but from other 18-30's holidays I have been on this is standard. Our room was situated right next to the bar '42nd St' so unless we were totally wasted we didnt get to sleep til 5 or 6 am......which isnt good when the maids store room is outside the room and they scream and shout outside from 8am onwards!!!! I did expect a lot of noise as it was 18-30's but it became unbearable towards the end if the week. The staff were always helpful and friendly. Its a great place to meet people and made lots of friends here and would be excellent if you can hack sleepless nights then recovering from a massive hangover the next day. Overall it was a good but very tiring holiday but could have been better had we been located somewhere else.

Well where should i start. This holiday was the best i have ever been on. I am writing a review to put others minds aat rest as i was a nervous wreck before i went here due to the idiots that sais it was horrific and they booked flights home early - honestly i was dreading it. I had a 10 hour delay from manchester so to me that was the start of a bad holiday. I will briefly go thrrough what happened on my hol.
I went with my boyfriend phil, we stayed 7 nights at the trabukos hotel in Kavos and we both loved every minute of it. We are going again next year. We were really nervous about the hotel charging us for things that was wrong with the room, we thought they would say we'd broke them blah blah blah and so the first thing we did was tell the rep the couple of things that we thought we shoul d report, like a chipped balcany, seriously that was it, she told us not to worry, just so long as we left the room the way we found it, with 2 of everything in ther it'd be fine.
Our first night there we went to have a shower and it was bloo*y freezing. That night we were asking everyone else that had arrived samae time as us if theres were cold, and they all said they had lovely showers. Then it wa the next day that our neighbour told us, the earlier you have your shower the hotter it will be, makes sence really. So from that day on the showers were lovely, you dont have shower curtains and you have to hold with one hand but i loved them, dead powerful....warm!! Trabukos is right in the middle of about 3 clubs, atlantis, futures and 42nd street, but because we went at the end of season 19th sep - 26th sep everywhere was closing so it wasnt noisy at all. Who is gonna be in there room though at that time when they go away 18-30???? If you are then dont go!!
The best places to go were buzz, 42nd st, snobs, rockys the barn and a karaoke place (cant remember what is was called). We had the best time and want to go next year, we met so many good friends, sarah, jodi, ash, jeff, jake, stu, nikki, kelly, daniel, and so many more were all planning on going meeting up next year there!!!!!! ''you what you what''
The only thing was that we only had 2 good hot days, i didnt really tan. There was one day of pure rain, that day we went the water park so that was a waste, but i recommend going there because they was loads of top slides. Every other day it would rain for maybe half hour to an hour, but it was still warm (ish). If you go same as me then take a cardi, i wore my hoodies when we went for t and things coz without beer in your system you did get cold. One day i even had to buy a brolly - but still we had a ball.
Also - Kavos has a really bad drainige system, like everywhere in greece, you have to put toilet roll in a bin, but the cleaner comes in every day if not every 2 days and emties it for you. And in a few areas you will get a funky smell, but its really not that bad - dont listen to most of the reviews just mine - seriusly some ppl dont know how to have a good time. Another thing you WILL get fed up is the wasps, they are absolutley everywhere, i didnt get stung nor did phil but so many ppl did. They wont sting you , unless you accidently sit on one or lie back on one. Just waft them off and they'll leave you - theyre just after the sugary things.
PR's they get on your nerves too, but they have a job to do - if one asks if your eating, tell them your going fot a drivk, and those who ask you to go for a drink tell them your goin for food.
Best place for breakfast is a lovely place called, PULSE......it has a life size bowling alley - or 3, and its so good. We went there 3 times to play bowling, it was only 5euro for 2 games - cheap!!! And they made gorgeous cocktails, my favourite was hula hula!!
We only found the brekkie to be best on our last day - gutted, it was delicious....all the other places must just deep fry everythin coz u cut a sausage and pure grease flows out - not nice!!!
Buy headfu*kers why your there you need 2 and you are fu*ked!! I cant remeber our first night, fell over and smashed my head on stool - cant remember it but apparently i just stood up and carried on dancing. At night too when your bladdred - go to the pizza places opposite 42nd st and buzz bar - FAF!!!! I want one now - i only got back Sat 26th morn - and its 29th now - i miss that place so so so much!!!!
OH - dont book anything with the reps youcan get the same on the strip for like 25euros cheaper - thats what we did anyway!!!! All we gfot was water park and futures closing down party and it was a 3 free hour free bar, well worth it, 35euro each!

Kavos '08 - love it!!!!!!

this is a type of place thats you need to judge for urself.
My opinions of this place are mixed , if ur lookin for all night life then this is the one for u it dont stop!!
The clubs are right outside ur door and so many to choose from.
On my holiday 4 girls inc me went my two friend stayed in room 61 they got broken into got everything stolen money plane tickets clother cameras etc jus becarful!!!!!
Plenty of friends to make on this hol!!
I feel apart frm that part the place was good dont aspect to much on arrivals it looks nothing special but its really good in the nights!! o yeh food is good mostly english food and music is same as ours GOOD!!!!!

You'll probably read the bad comments on this website n be so scared of going to Kavos because i did it before i went but seriously ignore all of them!!! 10 of us went,all girls n we loved it, it so AMAZING!!! Trabukos is literally right in the middle of all the bars and clubs so you don't even have to walk far!!!The reps are good as well, and the free bars are definately worth paying for, you can just get drink after drink and end up smashed!!! Definately pay fort them and the caberet night its so good!!! I'll also advise you to go to the rolling stone n get a head****er, its 6 euros n it seriously does get your head ****ed, your basically done for the night when you have one haha!!!If you're a young group of girls or boys and your just going for a fun drunken holiday then Trabukos is your best bet!!!Me and some of my friends are going back out there next year to work we loved it that much!!It is AMAZING!!!! had a wicked time on this holiday, 6 girls!!! hotel was basic, but was expected, down side was sheets didnt get changed once while we were there!! cleaners came in a few times and mopped up so wasnt to bad.
clubs were great, would recommend 42nd street and snobs! 1st night we got there it was foam night at futures, i read the reviews before i went and so many people advised us not to buy nothing with the reps, we arrived 5am the reps called a "meet and greet" which we thought was nice but really we got scanked!! we didnt buy all the tickets off them only for 3 events which still cost us 110 euros!!! ADVICE: dont buy nothing off the reps, pr's are selling tickets all day long! we bought tickets for trinity night were Rat pak was playing charged us 40euros each, pr's were selling them for 20!!!!!
got to go to the Blue Lagune!! it was gawgus!!! had a go at some water sports, werent to expensive! over all, we really did enjoy our selves! apart from being kicked out of our apartment 12pm on the last day (flight wasnt till 1am!) we had to pay an extra 30 euros to keep the room till 6pm then later was told the the guys above had to pay and extra 20!! so watch out for the bar staff coz they aint as friendly as you think!!
night life makes up for everything tho.. the reps know how to enjoy thems selves and do look after you. would defo go back!!! xxx Manchester Girls xxx

we've jus got back from kavos a week ago and we loved every minute of it!!! 1 word FANTASTIC!!! we're already lookin 4 flights back out there next month, the pr's are annoyin but u get used 2 it and get 2 know them after all it is there job!! The best clubs are Buzz bar, Rolling stones, Mojo bar, karaoke bar at the bottom of the strip fink it was called forum, all the clubs are great but we always went to Tango bar (OCD bar) first cos we gt free jelly shots and the pr was fit!! the reason we call it ocd bar is cos its sooo clean literaly jus put ur emty glass dwn an i little greek woman comes to pick it up straight away. The worst ba is FIRE so annoyin they have about 8 pr's outside who all crowd u as soon as they se u an mither u 2 go in n after sayin no 4 the 100th time the greek man comes over an gets u 2 go in 4 a free drink wat tastes like washing up liquid errggh!! do be careful of the reps they do rip u off jus go an find kostas on the beach he'll sort u out wiv cheaper deals 4 the booze cruise an foam party tickets an hes great!!
we loved this holiday and have gt the kavos blues :(
If u go 2 kavos make the most of it cos its a holiday u definetly wont forget

This was a fantastic holiday and the hotel was brilliant. Anyone who has complained about it clearly was prepared for that sort of holiday! Everywhere in greece is basic so this place follows suit but the location was amazing, really nice pool and i think we had the best room( if not hotel )in the whole of Kavos. Plus the noise really isnt that bad if you shut the door and anyway if theres still noise outside why would you be in bed? Only problem was we had almost a whole day without water but it was unavoidable. Oh and also don't ever buy anything from 18-30's reps without checking out everywhere else first even if they tell you you wont be able to book later its not worth getting ripped off. Overall really nice fairly basic hotel with gorgeous views and nice staff.

Just returned from 2weeks at Trabukos, 1 word amazing!
After reading some of the reviews on here i was abit worried but there was no need.
We arrived early in the morning, 6am and was knackered although we where amused at the drunken ppl still wandering around after a nights partying. We had requested a high floor, not so good with the suitcases but glad we did as the view was amazing! The rooms are basic but thats all you need as your never in the room! We where in room 312, sea view it was brilliant!
The only thing I would say is if u want an early night your probably not going to get one as its on the main strip and right on Atalantis's doorstep (The main club).
Its location is brilliant, everything right outside, loads of brilliant restaurants and bars ect. Went to a foam party which was awsum.
Defo wud go back and defo worth the mny.
