Sun Maris Apartments

From our arrival Mary was wonderful. She made you feel like part of the family...which includes letting you know when you're in the wrong (moving a freshly washed sunbed with sun cream on my hands - oops), but that's part of her charm. The Yuvetsi was delicious and the homemade cakes, biscuits and jams are also great (thanks to Mary's mum). The apartments were kept spotlessly clean. We'll definitely be going back! thanks Mary..I'm Serious

As soon as you meet Mary you know its going to be a lovely holiday, she has a lovely smile and has the knack of making everyone feel special, welcomes everyone wholeheartedly!
We will definitely go back just to see Mary, we will keep in touch.
Go and visit her you will see why.

We have returned today from Rhodes and following comments on this and other review sites, we booked they Sun Maris Apartments in Faliraki. We believed that it couldn`t be as good as the reviews but we were sadly mistaken. This accomodation is amongst the best we have stayed in on all the Greek Islands that we have visited. The cleanliness of the apartments, pool and bar area was excellent and then of course there`s Mary.
From the start of the holiday, she looked after everything and nothing is to much trouble. You are immediately made to feel welcome and its all first name terms which always makes for a good atmosphere. She also cooks some really good food so if you fancy something to eat, just ask her!!
The apartments are situated next to the main road facing the picturesque church and its only a short walk to Bar and Club streets as well as the beach. Very easy access to supermarkets and bus stops which are just outside the apartments. Obviously Greece is going through serious financial troubles and we did find that there have been a lot of closures but this didn`t detract from the great time we had. Plenty of places to eat and drink and don`t be put off by the fast food cafes as they make some great gyros.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the Sun Maris to family and friends and we would certainly return there in the future. Nice one Mary!!!!

We stayed at sun maris appartments in June-July of 2009 and you couldn't ask for a nicer host, (the great Mary), a cleaner establishment, (not a speck of dust, ANYWHERE!!), a more pleasent and relaxing atmosphere or better company. The location has a bad reputation for how it was 5-10 years ago, however don't let that put you off, it is busy and there are clubs, however, they are there if you want them, (you can easily choose to avoid them). The reputation asscociated with Falaraki now is totally unfair, as the locals have "cleaned up" the club scene and have left a vibrant club and bar street that isn't anywhere near as bad as some places in the canary islands for example. The beaches are beautiifull, the island is stunning and the people are extreemely warm and friendly (especially Mary, the best rep, host and hotellier you could ever ask for). So please consider this as a holliday destination, and be suprised about how true these reviews are. We were

After 9 years of travelling to Faliraki, the Sun Maris was by far the best accomodation we have ever found. Mary was absolutely fantastic and we were made to feel at home in minutes of arriving. Nothing was too much trouble and Mary even made FRESH fruit and vegetable, baby purees every day for our 8 month old daughter (who also fell in love with Mary!) She should market these as she devoured the lot every time. The Sun Maris was beautifully kept and Mary's Mojitos were the best we'd ever tasted (and we HAVE tried and tested many!). A fantastic stay for people of all ages, the atmosphere around the pool was brilliant and Mary's lovely nature rubbed off on everyone who stayed with her. You could not ask for better in Rhodes. We heading back in a couple of months and she will be our first contact everytime we go back now. Thank you again Mary!

This was the first time we have stayed at Sun Maris and it was great. We have been going to Faliraki for 6 years and it is the best hotel we have stayed in. It was our honeymoon and Mary made it that little bit more special. She was always happy and always happy to help.
The rooms were VERY clean and tidy, Rita kept them immaculate.
Can't wait to go back and stay at the Sun Maris again.

Visited the Sun Maris for 1 week in August 2008 and it was the best holiday i have had. The food was great sitting by the pool, the pool was extremely clean and beautifully presented and our room was the same always clean with fresh towels.
Mary was the most amazing host always making sure that you where ok or asking if you needed anything she is a top host.
Her cocktails are to die for. We will definitely be going back next year without a doubt.
I would say these apartments would suit younger couples and older couples even with kids young or old.

Amazing holiday. Mary made the holiday. After an 18 hour delay Mary brightened our day and we had an amazing room, with air con available MASSIVE balcony and big spacious room.
Her apartments are very very very clean, mary is so friendly and welcoming, she runs the whole place on her own and i dont know how she does it.
Its a small, cute and cosey place. You can relax so much and you are only 5 mins walk away from the heart of Faliraki and there are supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars on your door step.
I would definately go back again.
Thanks Mary for making our holiday one to remember.

I highly recommend the Sun Maris Apartments. The location is just right, on the main street from Rhodes to Lindos with supermarkets and restaurants nearby but just the right distance from the bars and clubs. The room we had was simple, clean and had all we required. The pool and snack bar are great but the best thing about the place is Mary the owner. Mary runs the place and loves to have fun at the same time. She’s obviously busy but makes time to get to know her guests. Mary did so much for us during our week stay I will never forget it.

Got a warm welcome the second we arrived, Mary the owner is really nice, the hotel is forever being cleaned would recommend staying here.
Its about a 2 min walk into faliraki bar/club street but far enough away to get a good night sleep if you've had a heavy one the night before!
