Went to stay with my Sister, her Husband and niece, who now live in Cyprus after a 2 week holiday in the Domniki in July 2009. As they were all at work, my Brother and I paid visits to the Domniki everyday. It is in an excellent location, on the beach, and the owners and... more

Having been in Pernera twice before, this was our first family holiday booked independently - what a treat the Domniki turned out to be and definitely the best. From the pick up at the airport to getting dropped off again, the whole experience was just brilliant - so much... more

great people
great location,so ok might not be your 5 star Hotel but let me tell you the treatment is 5star . The owners and staff will do anything to make your stay is worth while. My friend and I only stayed for a week wished it had been longer. The hotel is very clean and also had the best rate of exchange for currency which saves your running around as well. Would go back there no problem. Most enjoyable holiday I've had for a long time
Loved the Domniki Apartments
Travelled with Olympic. Stayed in the Domniki Hotel/Apartments in Pernera. Great accommodation. Staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Location perfect. Go for sea view as there is some building going on at the rear but not too intrusive. The Apartments are large and modern with a lovely terrace and pool area overlooking two beaches. You can walk south to Protaras on the coastal path and see other lovely beaches on the way go north and you come to the small Pernera harbour. Buses go to all the big resorts and there are taxis in the main street. We ate at Gordon Blue for its Greek food and great value ( very top of the main street) The Barley Mow Pub at the bottom of the main street is great for a bit of fun and a chance for some laid back karaoke from Steve (mine host) Prices in most resorts are more expensive than in UK with the exception of tobacco and petrol. Cyprus joined the euro in January!
Great value!
The accomodation is fairly basic but the rooms are spacious and everything is spotlessly clean, from the rooms to the reception areas to the pool. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and really make you feel at home. The apartments are in a great location, just steps away from the beach and a very short walk to the shops, restaurants and bars. The resort was fairly quiet during the first week of May when we were there but there was still plenty to do. We took the one day trip to Cairo which was well worth the effort although it was a very long day and very tiring. All in all, we would stay at these apartments again as they had everything we needed and were great value for money!
Great location, great staff, wonderfully clean but,
The smoking ban in the UK has us spoiled and the cigarette smoke in the Domniki spoiled it for us!!!! We couldn't believe people would just light up beside you when you were eating. We have 2 daughters aged 3 and 2 and we got bronchitis while there. Because we went in early April, it was cold outside so everyone was inside. I'm so sorry for being fussy but, because of this we wouldn't go again! The hotel is fabulously clean, the staff are lovely but for us with 2 young children (at the beginning of season) the smoking spoiled it!!!!
wonderful place wonderful people
we stay at this hotel twice a year we love it sonia, kat, and their mum and dad are fab everyone from the chef to andy the mad barman are great cannot fault the place
Love The Domniki
I have stayed there many times, and this year am returning to get married and then have the reception at the Domniki. Check out there web site for pictures as the ones on the Olympic site are a lot older www.domniki.co.uk I agree with all the comments on this site about the Domniki it really is location, location, location. See you there at the end of August this year, and have a drink on us to celebrae our wedding.
I Blame the girls!
I stayed in the Domniki in November 2007 on my first trip to the med and from the first night i didnt want to leave the hotel. myself and my friend were so content and comfortable staying in and having a laugh with the owners daughters, Sonia and Kat, that we didnt even hire a car and explore th island at all like we had planned. added to that Sean the chef was there almost constantly, cooking whatever we wanted all day. i honestly cannot find a single thing to complain about the hotel or staff about except that i now am booking to go back again and my plan to go to lots of different countries to vist is on hold as i just want to go back there. If planning to got to cyprus i would definately recommend the domniki to everyone just as long as theres a room for me when i want to go.

Excellent Family Run Hotel
My wife and I stayed at the family run self catering Domniki Hotel last year during the month of July, whilst we visited the island of Cyprus looking for a wedding venue. The hotel is extremely family friendly and is managed by Sonia along with her parents. The hotel is situated on Pernera Bay, couple of miles along the coast from Protaras. Pernera Bay is a small bay which is so perfect that the inland locals visit and relax here at the weekend. The bay offers various watersports ie. Canoeing,Pedalos and jet-skiing at £20 for 15 mins. The hotel sits a stones throw from the beach, to be honest the hotel is virtually on the beach. On exiting the hotel to the rear, you step out onto a beautiful paved area surrounding the pool, you then descend down a well kept grass slope or steps onto a flat grass area which has free sun loungers for hotel guests. This grass then slopes down onto the sandy beach with access via steps or the slope. The pool area is surrounded by ample amount of sun loungers and parasols. There is a well stocked up pool bar which also does excellent breakfasts, lunches and dinners at good rates. Andy the extremely friendly barman along with Sean the chef who's food is to a very high standard, both always find time to sit and chat. Whilst away a request for food was made that was not on the menu, and Sean quite happily made this up for my wife. On our visit in 2006 we stayed in a inland view studio room, which consisted of 2 single beds, sofa bed, dining table and chairs, dressing table, seperate bathroom, kitchenette and balcony area. Kitchenette area is made up of cooking hob, kettle, fridge and cutlery. The rooms are well kept and clean. The Domniki has studios/apartment rooms only difference between a studio and apartment is an apartment has a seperate bedroom. From our balcony we overlooked the site for a new development of villas, since returning this year the villas are complete and do not cause any disruption to the hotel. The reception area has security boxes, also a large TV and pool table. There is also a pool table outside in the bar area. There is ramp access into the hotel and down onto the grass area, also there are steps down to the beach. Air Conditioning is at a small cost. Within a 5mins walking distance from the hotel is an excellent choice of bars and restaurants, offering all types of food. Would recommend the Italian restaurant called?(Something).........Gusto! Which is next door to Sizzlers restaurant. When we stayed at the Domniki in 2006 we fell in love with the place so much that we have just returned after spending the week of Sept 15th - 22nd, with 56 family and friends staying at the Domniki as our wedding guests. On the Wednesday we got married at the Grecian Park Hotel. After the wedding we had a wonderful reception at the Domniki where a DJ and an Excellent buffet was laid on, compliments of Sonia and the hotel staff's hard work. Would just love to say that the whole Domniki family make you as a guest fill extremely welcome. The majority of our wedding guests plus ourselves shall be returning next year and im sure for many years afterwards. We are generally not a couple who go back to the same place twice, but the Domniki is such an exception we have already visited twice and shall be going back many times.
