California Cliffs Holiday Park

We have just got back from what I have to say was a fantastic holiday (27th August – 3rd September 2011) our party was a party of 5, 4 adults and a 4 year old. After reading so many of the bad reviews I left home worried and armed with cleaning products however when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The Bronze standard caravan we were staying in was very clean and the bedrooms were all ready made up with crisp clean white sheets. We had everything we needed for a weeks stay. I would suggest though if your like us and enjoy a mug of tea or coffee you take your own cups along as the cups supplied are the sort you normally find in canteens which are designed for a quick tea break.
Our Caravan was right next to the main office and entertainment centre and again after reading some of the reviews I was a little worried as to what the evenings may bring. I am happy to say though that none of us had issues with noise. Of course there was noise of people chatting and from the entertainment but this never went on longer than mid-night. We never went to the evening entertainment due to having a busy 4 year old who can never stay up later then 8pm but it always seemed busy.
We ate in most of the week but we did visit the on site resturant/bar a couple of times. At times the bar was busy due to people wanting to pay by card and there only being one card machine but other than that the service was good. The cost of drinks were as you would expect in a London pub and being from around London this did not come as a shock. We ordered lite bites a couple of times which I felt were reasonably priced, the service was quick and the food was very nice.
All the group commented at some point during our stay how every member of staff we came into contact with was always cheerful friendly and only too happy to help including the on site shop and bike hire staff.
The swimming pool was smaller than the pictures would lead you to believe and not really a pool to visit for an adult swim. However it was perfect for children to splash about in and have fun safely in and our entire group enjoyed a splash about everyday we were there. The pool area was always very clean and well supervised with 3 lifeguards on duty all of the time.
The real bonus to the caravan park I have to say was only being a 3-minute walk away from the beach. The beach was beautiful and very clean. It is a mixture of sandy areas, pebbles and stones. Our beach shoes came in handy when swimming in the sea due to a lot of pebbles as you entered the water and being able to get your footing whilst being bashed by waves. We even got to see a few seals that came along and popped their heads up to see what all the noise was.
I have already recommended the park to friends and family and we are planning on visiting again next year.

We have just spent a week at cali cliffs and enjoyed every minute of it!!! We are a family of four and went with our good friends another family of four and were so impressed we are already looking to book to go back!!All four children loved it especially the sparky krew club and all the teamstars(who do a brilliant job)!! The caravan park is clean and tidy, the staff are helpful and friendly and prices in shops,restaurant and club reasonable.The swimming pool and daytime activities are an added bonus and there is also a nice friendly pub 5 mins walk down the road!!

2 adults and 4 children and they give us a tiny 2 bedroomed caravan , 2 single beds and a small pull out bed , and a double bed , i wanted a bed each for my childres (is that unreasonable) and also a bed for me and my partner , so i asked the manager to look into it , she wasnt interested and had a very bad attitude , pay more money and you can have a 3 bed caravan , errrmmmm but thats what i should of had to start with ?? think they forgotten the £300 roughly spent on the site dont they ?? thumbs upto the rest of the staff , not at the desk though very unhelpful , it did spoil our holiday , but tryed to ignore it and just enjoy our selves which we did , meals were exc , and the entertainment pleased the children which was a bonus ...but i wont be using these again , they should sort problems out not give you an unpleasant experience...

We booked 14 may 2011 to go & see our daughter .. Teamstar Lizzy . Our accommodation was a gold plus van which was really nice. Plenty of room I only have 1 complaint about it. Cleaners should pay more attention to dusting shelves. Other than that no probs. Our gas ran out during a shower. But 20 mins later they had sorted it.. Well done guys. My partner Donna had a bit of a bad experience. With a meal at the waterside bar so we didn't risk it again. Maybe a one off mistake, I hope. Now for the teamstars. Katie the manager, Lizzy my daughter, ric, chloe, grant, & Sara were brill very entertaining & all work extremely hard. Loved their party dances. Choc 'o' late choca choca.. Ha ha fantastic . & their show Alice in boogieland, loved it... These guys deserve the best. More pay & better accommodation pls. Thank you teamstars. For making our short break memorable xxx hope to see you all again soon

My wife, 2 children and myself booked a caravan for 3 nights over the Easter weekend.
As soon as we opened the door to the caravan you could smell cigarette smoke. The caravan was dirty and parts of it were broken. We cleaned it through as best we could but when the children walked in there with no shoes on, their feet ended up black!
Come bed time, the beds were awful! The mattress were clearly very old resulting in a dreadful night sleep. Come morning time, the entire unit was damp.
We had booked for 3 night but following the second, even the children asked to go home!
AVOID at ALL costs!

Just returned from California Cliffs lovely site feels very friendly.
We took our dog disappointed to find that there is no official dog walking area, really feel they need a designated area like most parks have, although having said that the beach isn't that far away.
Pool looks nice and clean although didn't try it, lifeguards always cleaning around the pool area.
Food on site in the bar was dreadful really not happy no one asked us if our meal was ok so think they knew it wasn't maybe we were unlucky but wouldn't risk it again. There is a chinese across the road wasn't open when we were there but apparently it is really nice.
We went to the theatre lounge sat night only to be told it was for owners only they had a group on and had nice plush seats we were expected to go and sit in the dining area on hard chairs with the children's entertainment, so we left feeling like 2nd class citizens! not good Park Resorts! excellent for the owners but not for us! We decided to leave the site, very pleased we did we found California Tavern 8min walk (turn right out of the park end of road turn left) We went there for sunday carvery too very nice added bonus you can take your dog in the pub.
Overall a good holiday, Staff on site were lovely, very friendly and helpful must mention Kelly on reception she did everything to make sure our holiday was perfect.

We visited Cali Cliffs 3 times last year, 2 short breaks in May and October and for a week and a half in August.
Despite lousy weather we had a great time, both my daughters loved the park, the pool was nice and the head lifeguard was so friendly as were the reception team.
Our biggest surprise was the entertainmanets team, they were first class, led by Katie Harvey who is a fantastic entertaiments manager they made for a superb stay without the constant demands for buying cheap fluorescent rubbish you get at Haven Parks!
Each time we only had Bronze caravans but they were spotless except for the last occasion when the hob had not been cleaned, one phone call and 10 minutes later a cleaner was at our door. Brilliant service.

I have been going to california cliffs now for 3 years for mid-week breaks,the site is fantastic for children,we are a family of 6 and also the grandparents of both sides also come to,last year there was a party of 11,and every single one of us throughly enjoyed it,we like to go abroad in winter,but have to say california cliffs is definetly a winner for anyone with children,and also couples,a must is the chinese take-away across from the park.Lovely swimming area,great childrens park,entertainment at night for both children an adults is excellent!!!Thanks California Cliffs looking to rebook again for june x

Arrives at calinfornia cliffs in norfolk in March 2009. There was 2 adults & 4 children and we stayed in a Platnuim caravan.
Got our keys to our accomadation and found it in lovely condition and felt like we were the first to use it.
The parks entertament was really good. Had a lovely snooker area. The arcade was really good and children had alot of fun :)
Would go there again :-)
