Lidomare Hotel

The Hotel Lidomare was fantastic. The room I stayed in was wonderful - clean, lovingly furnished with all the amenities. The hosts were lovely, answering all my queries (without any resentment whatsoever!) and were willing to go out of their way to accommodate me. A great central location, just off the main piazza, but quiet enough to rest. I would definitely stay at the Lidomare again when I return to Amalfi. Amalfi was also extremely convenient as a base for exploring the Amalfi Coast.

This hotel was perfect: Staff were extremely gracious and helpful; location was ideal; rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed: an exceptional value... I wish every hotel were this good.

My husband stayed here for two nights in May 2005 for 100 euro per night. Our room was very large and clean although the bathroom was quite small and cramped. We had a small balcony with a sea view (with a table and two chairs) which was very pleasant (we were also lucky enough to enjoy a fireworks display from a ship on the harbour one night). My mother and her friend have just returned from a week at the Lidomare in Amalfi, booked through Thomson holidays. They thoroughly recommend it. Their room with balcony was large and comfortable and the sea view and balcony made the small supplement worth every penny. The hotel was just across the road from the harbour and the bus stops, almost next to the Duomo and the main piazza and extremely close to restaurants and shops. Their favourite restaurant was Il Teatro which was difficult to find up many more steps but worth the effort.<br... more

We stayed here for a week. The first night, we had a small, very quiet room at the back of the hotel. For the following 6 nights, we moved to a room at the front of the hotel with balcony and sea view. The room was large and airy, with a tiled floor, though the furnishings were a little tired. The bathroom was a bit cramped. Spent two nights in Amalfi at Lidomare early Oct. 2004- Room #34 spacious large & clean! with a wonderful view of the Sea! The owners were very helpful and gracious! We will definitely stay their again! 100E per night

I have been with my family to the hotel Lidomare the July 2004 a week. Good hotel, comforting, relaxing, with all the services. The service is superior to the cost! Managed by pleasant owners, nice, lists and professional. The hotel is in center of the city, to few footsteps from the beach. I will return with pleasure!

My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights at the Hotel Lidomare in June of 2004, and loved it. The location is great - very close to the town's main piazza and the waterfront. When you are tired of seeing the same tourists in the piazza, I recommend taking a short walk to the next town over, Atrani. Very beautiful, sleepy town, with a 'locals-only' feel to it. The main piazza has a couple of bars and great reastaurant (Osteria...something - it's the only one in town). Can't recommend the Hotel Lidomare enough.

Once you have visited Amalfi it is a place you'll always want to go back to. I have taken my daughter there every year for the past 6 years. We stay in a small hotel called the Albergo Lidomare, whose rooms command stunning sea views. It is three star, bed and breakfast accommodation only, but as it is situated in the centre of Amalfi, there is no shortage of choice of places to eat. My wife and I stayed in the Lidomare for several days in January of 2000. We loved it! Our room was simple but more than adequate, but the view from the room and its balcony were incredible. The location was perfect, the hotel matron was very warm and motherly and best of all... it was a real bargain. I highly recommend it.
