Submitted By: Mrs D LIGHTFOOTWe were greeted at the door and had our luggage taken from us and taken to our room. The room was very airy and spacious, clean and tidy. The staff were all very chatty and welcoming ,helpful and friendly.
The complex has its own mini market for odds and ends you might need and a roof top pool for relaxing and swimming. We used both several times.there is also a games room, sauna ,gym, indoor pool and bar.
The cleaners/maids came in several times in the two weeks we were there and changed towels and teacloths, provided bin liners etc, they were very good we couldnt fault them.
The location of the complex is ideal as it is central to everything, the sea is a very short walk away, the sea front lined with cafes and restaurants, souvenir shops and ice cream bars.thee are even 2 hsbc banks along the prom for cash if needed(my local bank)
Also the bus station is a short walk away and you can catch a bus to anywhere on malta from here, and a bus ride is certainly an experience you will never forget on maltas bumpy roads.
We throughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone for a good basic acommadation which is good value for money. We would go agai napart from we have practially seen all there is to see on Malta now, is is a thoroughly beautiful island.

Submitted By: Mr M JonesThe most unfortunate incident was that our room was immediately above the bar. This is not to say that we did not expect a certain level of noise. But lets be honest (on one occasion) people drinking and shouting, and music blaring until 3am in the morning is a little bit over the top. To put the icing and cherry on the cake, having eventually got to sleep at 3.30am we were awoken by the staff moving furniture (dragging chairs and tables across the floor) at 6.30am preparing for the breakfast rush!!
Not to take anything away from Malta as it is a very beautiful country with a wealth of history and the Maltese people are so warm and friendly. The local food is lovely and we plan a return holiday but it will definately NOT be at the Sunseekers holiday complex (AKA "Hotel Ells Bells" as in Carry on Abroad)!!

Submitted By: Mr S D SMITHWe had an apartment on the pool level. We very rarely locked the patio door, until the breakins and then we was more cautious. If the place is still standing which i hope it isnt...and you have booked, dont be to alarmed just remember the italian students need battering the flys need squatting and the hotel itself needs gutting. Not the worst place on the island. The pool you had to get your lenghts in before dinner as the students would be back to commandeer the hotel. All inclusive you got drinks between certain times and most people were inclined when on all inclusive never to leave the hotel. Glad we didnt go all inclusive as the bar was shutting 11ish. OK for kids not great but we only slept in the hotel. We ate out for nearly every meal apart from the breakfast which was sometimes worth getting up for. The pool was cleanish, not like other pools where the salt water hurt your eyes and you felt sick after going swimming. Entertainment was a man and his karaoke machnine everynight....but not to worry not always the same bloke but the same machine never the less. Room wasnt 1st class more slummish really. Shower was bobbins. Beds hard-found the floor softer! Front desk was run by kids....what a joke they was! Bloody italians spending their nights in the lobby on the piano which you got an earful of when ever you went in and out of the hotel. But apart from than that WE LOVED IT ......typical moaning brits.

Submitted By: Mrs S FlowerThe mop in the apartment was bone-dry when we arrived so the floor clearly had been left untouched (we tried to wear shoes all the time and did our best to get the kids to do the same). The day after we arrived we cleaned the apartment ourselves as best we could.
Ok, I could have complained and I was more than prepared to but my adult travel companions didn't want to create a fuss and wanted to 'make the best out of a bad situation'. None of us could wait to get home and have a proper wash. Uggghh!!
It has turned me off ever doing a package holiday again and for £1470 for 1 week in October half-term in a 3-bedroomed apartment; I expected a bit more than having to live in grime.

Submitted By: mumcabsStaff very helpful on reception and also in restaurant. You can pay for breakfast ML1.25 as and when required, and it is worth it, cereal, toast, full English, orange juice, tea, coffee, good value.
The only downside was there was no air conditioning unit in our apartment, don't be fooled into thinking the big white box on the ceiling is air conditioning, it's not, it's a heater for the winter months. We only had a ceiling fan and at 38/40 degrees it didn't do much to cool us down, we didn't sleep properly all the week.
I would stay at Sunseeker again if they installed proper air conditioning in the apartments, or perhaps we will go in May or September, but July and August are unbearable.
The balcony was also very small, but the two and three bed roomed apartments had bigger ones. We didn't go in the pool on the rooftop as it was too hot for us up there.
Went on two trips, Gozo and Comino islands, you can swim in the blue lagoon, I recommend that one, it's like paradise. Also went over to Sicily, very nice but a long day, got picked up 5am and got back at 12.30pm, we drove up Mount Etna which was wonderful, and also visited a place called Taormina, which is very picturesque.
If you book any trip, go to Freestar in the main street, and there is a lady called Mary, she is definitely the cheapest.
Buses are cheap and the drivers are funny, some of them think they are in a race I think.
Sunseeker apartments are very close to all the bars and restaurants, so you don't have to walk far in the evenings.

Submitted By: DAVVERSThe place is spotless and really well run. Breakfast is optional but well worth it. The bar is well run and the staff efficient and helpful.
The location is quiet but near to all facilities and there are plenty of eating places nearby.
Overall an excellent holiday and well worth the money.

Submitted By: Mrs S HiltonYou will not necessarily get a sea-view but great views from rooftop pool. pool and gym in basement also plus small supermarket. They leave a few essential food items in the apartment which may be paid for or returned to the shop. The proprietors were friendly, very helpful, and efficient.
The resort itself was not the most beautiful, but attractive enough with plenty of good bars and restaurants. Bus service great, cheap, and full of character! Also plenty of tours available, no need to pay tour operator prices - why are they so expensive anyway? No beach, flat rocks, but e.g. Golden Bay 15 - 20mins. on the bus- gorgeous with clear water and two good cafes on the beach.
The whole island is interesting with a fascinating history. English as a second language is a definite help sometimes. We were able to see the 'Chinese Terracotta Soldiers' exhibition at the Archaeological Museum while we were there- not bad for a tiny island!
Easier than travelling to London! Plus, of course, the ancient Maltese temple artefacts also. A week is not long enough to visit all the places of interest, we would not hesitate to return.

Submitted By: Miss B WassAs I've grown up there seems more and more to do, both in Bugibba and in Malta itself. Great nightlife and loads to keep you entertained, as long as you know where to go, but if in doubt, ask.
The Sunskeeker is very well run - being family owned really makes a difference. They can't be more helpful.
Highly recommended.

Submitted By: Miss G RamsdenEvery day we got a bus from the terminus about 10 mins walk away, 2 lira for 5 of us, is a bargain, we went to Sliema, Valletta, Marsaslox, all over really, the island is small so nothing is very far away. Most to the shops in Bugibba sell tourist rubbish e.g., purses with Malta written on, the jewelry was nice and cheap.
Back to Sun Seeker, It was a lovely clean comfortable hotel with great staff, the supermarket was well stocked, and even gave us a refund because we'd bought too much water! The pools were nice, it has a sauna, Jacuzzi, gym. (All which you had to pay for)
Overall it was a good holiday but unsuitable for teenagers (they were expecting Benidorm, this is the opposite) dad, my daughter and I loved it! I wouldn't go back though, I'm going on a cruise next!

Staying at the Sunseeker Apartment Complex it was difficult to pick fault with anything!
The staff could not have been more helpful and informative. They were happy to advise us on the best places to eat, the best beaches, the best places to explore. They were also happy to tell us about the cultures and traditions in Malta, going above and beyond their job duties to assist us and ensure we had a pleasurable stay.
The rooms were large with plenty of storage space, one thing that would have made the stay more enjoyable was air conditioning in the rooms. Unfortunately the rooms did not have air conditioning and due to the scorching temperatures it was very difficult to sleep properly. Aside from this however everything else was perfect. The mini-market prices were very competitive and the prices in the bar were cheap and the atmosphere very relaxed. One night we ran into a bit of an emergency when my mother suffered quite a serious allergic reaction. The staff were fantastic in their speedy and sensitive response, even appointing the hotels own personal taxi driver to take us to the hospital.
I would definately visit Malta again after this initial visit and if I were to do so I think I'd have to visit the Sunseeker Apartment Complex again, if not just to vist the wonderful staff!!!
I would also advise anybody going to Malta to make the effort to visit the Silent City of M'dina. It is amazing and one of the best days out you will go on during your stay. If you want to know the best places to visit do NOT go through your tour rep, ask the hotel staff. One boat tour we chose to go on would have cost us 56 Euros each through Thompson however we chose to go through a local tour company recommended by hotel staff and it cost us just 14 Euros each and was thoroughly worth it.
I would recommend the Bugibba area of Malta to anybody!
Advice: Wonderful, right on the beach with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and activities nearby!
Activities: Georges beach-side restaurant was impeccable! Amazing food at reasonable prices.
Good for: Beach
