I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodation; basic yet clean rooms with balcony, fridge, 4 cooking rings and dining area were all more than expected for the price.
Kos town itself was lovely, not the sleazy 'England abroad' type of place that I've heard Kardamena is. Just enough clubs and bars to be a decent holiday for school leavers, but all contained in one area so that they don't have to dominate the whole town if you are looking for something else.
My only complaint about Polina apartments is that the kind guy at reception (who we named Petros) seemed to work 24/7 so we felt guilty about coming home late because he has to let you in!

These apartments are in a great location as they are on the edge of town, so less noise but within walking distance of the town and all of it's entertainment.
Hired some pushbikes from a company called Moto Harley for a week and spend many a happy hour cycling across the fairly flat island of Kos.
The apartments could do with bringing into the 20th century decor wise, however they are very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Me and my partner stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it.

All I can say is read this review go and enjoy
Excellant value for Money, Weather, Tavernas, and Relaxing or Nightlife.
The Polina is in an ideal location only 2 min walk to marina and Beach and 5-10 min walk to Kos Town.
We had the last two weeks of the season and the weather was great in the mid 70's with plenty of sun places do tend to shut down on the last week but this was to our advantage as the ones left open are the best and the Greek people use these themselves.
Getting around the Island is easy very good local bus service we went to Zia Day and Night and also to Kardamena. The Thermal pools we rented out to Bicycles for 3 Euro each and cycled there in about 45 min very flat apart from last section of 5-10 min walk if you push your bike up the hill.
The apartments themselves are great and cleaned daily except Sunday. Alex the Manager is very friendly and helpful
All in all you will not be disappointed if you book here.

Excellent apartments, especially if you do not want to be surrounded by children!! There is no pool (hence few children) but the one you can use is less than 60 seconds walk away and the beach is less than 5 minutes.
The rooms were clean and the service was excellent. Alex the manager is a very friendly and approachable man.
The main drinking/clubbing area, Bar Street, is about a 15 minute walk away or jump in a taxi. This hectic area is far enough away to not disturb Polina residents but close enough if you want to let your hair down!! However there are tavernas everywhere, which are slightly quieter and free of drunken teenagers!!!
Our family consisted of three adults 65, 37, 41 and three kids 2 x 16 and 1 x 17 and the island had everything on it to keep all of us happy for two weeks.
Highly recommend that you eat at the Taverna Hirodin who make the best Kleftico on the island.
I could not find one fault with these apartments, the area or the holiday itself.

Me and 3 of my friends stayed at Polina for 2 weeks. Our stay was great.
The apartments were great, basic but very sufficient. There is a 24hr bar in the lobby which also serves food and has a satellite TV.
Alex the owner/ manager is very helpful and friendly. He recommended some restaurants to try and places to. But the poor guy seems to work 24/7.
The apartments are situated in a perfect spot, about 2 mins walk away from the beach and 5 mins walk away from the town centre where all the shops, bars, restaurants etc are located.
Go to Kos and have a great time. I have booked to go back in July 2007 this time with 8 of my friends - can't wait!
