Sa Coma Platja Aparthotel

Got to the hotel around 7 o’clock after a direct bus that took about an hour. Your luck I’m afraid is what makes the transfer good or bad. We had a direct transfer with no stops, but no air con on a hot day. Still, no complaints really, cause you are on HOLIDAY!
Hotel entrance blends in to high street and is quite small but v clean and very nicely presented. Top tip: leave one person to get the bags and go get the keys, they are all waiting for you so get to reception first and your first to your room.
Rooms are ok, good place to get your head down, fully air con and great view with good British news channels.
Nice big pool that you can swim in till past 8 if there’s supervision, they don’t really mind.
If you’re old or have young kids the fact a very busy karaoke bar right across the road can be a problem if you like an early night or your a light sleeper, but the doors are all shut after 1 so it cuts out the bulk of the noise, which isn’t nearly as bad as some others on this website say. Never mind, each to their own.
In short, come visit. You’ll have a good time and I guarantee the kids will have a great time with the entertainers Bart and Sam. Lots of energy and they have all the time in the world for you. Kiddie disco especially good for the younger kids as they give it their all every night, even if they are doing the dances with just one wee girl.

All of the reps and entertainers made the stay feel very welcome; the nicest entertainers that I was personally involved with were called Sam and Bart. These two people made my stay what it was, without these entertainers my stay would not have been any near as good as it is at the moment. The shows that they did within the evenings made the stay a very pleasant one. They got the crowd and kids all involved within every show that they performed.
The Hotel is based in a really nice location, which is just a few hundred yards from the beach. I would recommend this place to anyone, Families, adults, teenagers. There is something for everyone to do, with local bars for the adults around the local area, kids clubs so the adults can have a good time if they desire. The kids club operates every day and give parents some extra freedom if they want it. Overall I would say a very good holiday and i will be back next year.

On arrival at the hotel we had paid for a taxi transfer so save sitting on a coach for up to 4 hours - that was a great piece of advice. Reception were very friendly, everything ready for us - top floor room which we had requested as we had read about the noise before we arrived but after we booked!!!! Lifts for one – 2 of them - not easy when you are on the top floor especially on change over day when over 200 people are trying to get into their rooms with hundreds of suitcases - hilarious if nothing else.
Room was clean apart from the ants. If you want clean linen and towels u can ask at reception anytime and its there very quickly but maids were never seen in 2 weeks!!!! Location is fantastic. Right on a lovely sandy beach, safe for the children, beach bar and lovely pool. Sad English people had to go down at 3am to put their towels down and then had the nerve to use them in the afternoon after spending the morning on the beach. The hotel says it has a non-reserving policy but be warned - get up with the cockerels and join the madmen. Also parasols - we spend all morning in the sun as some sad person had reserved theirs and gone off to the beach all morning. They complained when they got back, so hassle round the pool if you aren’t bold. Kids loved the hotel entertainment and the hotel itself. A great place for kids.
But.......be warned this hotel backs onto a busy road, a karaoke bar and the Sa Coma Gran Thompson super family hotel with an outdoor stage for their entertainment. We were on the to p floor and the noise was unbelievable. Especially for Cosmos not to even mention it in their brochure. At least Thomsons mention in their brochure if you are going to get any noise. The reps were ok but if you criticised they just referred you to the brochure saying it states it’s in a PRIME location!!!!
Kids club fine if your kids don’t need entertaining. Kids reps were hung over from the beach parties they had off duty, which also kept us awake most of the night. And then there was the gas bottle delivery at 5.30 am and the cockerels crowing at 4.00 am and the cars doing handbrake turns in the car park. To top it all our last Saturday was very busy being half term and over 200 people all trooped in at 2am having been delayed for 4 hours and were all sozzled. We had 2 couples move in to the 2 apartments next to us and god did they shout!!! Unfortunately the man was deaf and about to turn 90ish but boy could they party. We heard every word from there on. They were very sad, even put tablecloths on their balcony tables.
So..... Would I go back? NO. Would I recommend it ...only if you are deaf. In a word - NOISY!!!!!. I would recommend the Sa Coma Gran behind this hotel although there is no sea view there. At least a whole nights sleep once in 14 would have been great........be warned it mentions nothing of the noise in the travel agents hotel gazetteer and Ilkeston travel even phoned Cosmos who denied any kind of karaoke bar even existed. BUT IT DOES. Cosmos even offered to move us to another hotel before we left UK as we had caught them out.

I arrived at Palma airport early Saturday morning, my friend is disabled and somehow her wheelchair had been broken, our rep who met us from our flight was very helpful and even helped us carry our bags to the coach. She also helped us get a claim form from the airport so we could claim when we got home. When we got to the hotel we had someone there to meet us and help us carry the broken wheelchair to the room. We were given the telephone number of a wheelchair hire company which was very helpful as by this time we had started to panic about how my friend was going to get round. The reps were very helpful and friendly towards us and always seemed to be around when we needed them. The hotel was friendly and had all the facilities we needed. There’s a pool, a restaurant, a bar and some entertainment every night, there are also bars and restaurants situated around the hotel if you fancy a change.
I will definitely be going back there again.

I think that this hotel is fab!
The entertainment is fantastic and keeps kids of all ages entertained. The kids club was great and kept the kids entertained for hours at a time. The hotel itself is in a great location with the beach on the doorstep.
I just thought I would let you all know that its not as bad as the other people are saying I have been and I loved it!
