Unlike the previous reviewer my husband and I found the apartments to be clean and spacious. Huge balconys! Maid service 5 times a week and clean towels every 3rd day. Staff very friendly. Quiet and a bit upmarket, very relaxing and beautiful views up towards the valley. The apartments though are not a few steps from the beach as described, more like 500 metres but a very enjoyable stroll down to the port. Restaurants in Mogan a bit pricey and all menus similar but beautiful views everywhere. Take a trip on the 'Aphrodite' through you rep, well worth it.

The holiday was overall good, the hotel was ok there were a few draw backs. The cleanliness of the apartments were very dirty, we took are shoes off in the apartment and within 2 seconds of walking round it are socks were very dirty. The toilets had bits of of hair in it from the previous owners and there were worms in the bath. Will never go back again, but Gran Canaria and Purteo Mogan was nice, but never again will I stay at the hotel! A tip hire a car and explore the island!

We have just returned from the Cordial Mogan Valle Hotel on 02/08/10 after a 9 day holiday .....What can i say! The appartment was fanstastic...more than we could have hoped for.
We had a two bed appartment but we're not expecting two bathrooms so we had plenty of privacy & which gave the kids there own independence & no waiting round for the bathroom in the evenings when we were all getting ready!!
Maid service was 5 times a week & they changed the towels every day the cleaned ...the place was always spotless & they never came too early....truly lovely helpful cleaning staff.
Pools are small lovely but people do hog the sunbeds with towels then disappear for hours which is annoying but it happens on all holidays doesn't it.
Childrens play area is poor ....basically a slide so this is not fantastci of you are expecting a selection of things to play on
Highly recommend taking the water taxi to other resort, the ride alone is worth it ....its about 30 mins to Puerto Rico for 6 euros one way or 10 euros return.
There are plenty of restuarants & bars around the beach & the Harbour so you'll have plenty to choose from ....but remember to take plenty of money ...everything is expensive .....average meal out is 25pounds per head ....it's much cheaper to eat out in England....& i never thought i'd say that!
We were late leaving on the last day & the Manager on reception, Adaj Rodriguez ( sorry if i spelt it wrong) was brilliant & so helpful & he sorted out all our transport to the airport & didn't even charge us for leaving the room late - lovely man :-)
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to see a lovely part of gran canaria where you can guarantee you will not be pulled into any bars or shops by people touting for your business & you'll see no Time share hustlers either ,unlike in the neighbouring resorts like Puerto Rico where we went for the day only to accosted by at least 6 different touts with the first 10 mins there!!
Puerto De Mogan & the Cordial Mogan Valle are absolutely fantastic & i would definetely go back again.
