My spouse and I had booked this hotel to stay from February 12-February 15, 2011 to celebrate our anniversary and Valentines Day at Disneyworld and Universal Studios. We chose this hotel due to the beautiful pictures and good reviews we saw online. Here are our pros and... more

All I can say is WOW! This place really is amazing. Before you can think of something or ask, the hotel and its dedicated team have already considered it or catered for it. Terrific food, wonderful range of restaurants, lots of on-site facilities including a wildlife... more

Grand Cypress Great Retreat
Started our Sept. 2003 vacation at Grand Cypress. 2nts. Great POOLS for kids (slides) & adults. Rooms only come 2 doubles or 1 King. but you can get a rollaway if needed. We got a bargain of $125nt + tax. We Didn't want to leave. We moved on to the Contemporary Resort for 3nts. paid alot more, but we wanted to be on the monorail. Our son is 3yrs. old, loves the Magic Kingdom & the monorail. Next time we would stay at the Grand Cypress longer and use their shuttle to the disney parks. Grand Cypress also offered lot of bike rentals, aquabikes,... more
Fabulous
The Grand Cypress is one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at. The grounds are amazing. The rooms are nice, but nothing special. The restaurants are all good. The only negative was that despite all of the pools, there was no wading pool for my toddler son. The lobby also tended to be noisy at night with live entertainment that wafted up to our room. We had a great time anyway, though and would definitely stay again.
Grand experience
The Hotel was beautiful. water features everywhere fountains, brooks waterfalls even in the lobby. Tropical birds one says HI the other waves hello Two pools open 24/7 one heated good for night swimming lake, golf course walking and biking trails--really beautiful. Bikes and pedal boats etc free with $10/day "activity" charge per room. Good food esp Hemmingways $$$$$ though! Shuttles to the parks Universal, Sea World Discovery cove, disney were great and not over used. The only problem was timing. i.e. 2 buses to Universal 9 am and 11:30 and... more
Loved the Little Extras
We stayed one night at the Grand Cypress (8/3/03) and had an excellent time. Clean room that smelled wonderful, big bathroom, breaktaking atrium, and an awesome pool. But we were most impressed with the little extras, like being able to watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom and Epcot from windows on the eighteenth floor. And from our own balcony on the ninth floor we could see the Sea World fireworks. All rooms come with a balcony. Also, the elevators were great. They were very fast and going up or down 18 floors is a fun ride. We totally... more
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress = The very best.
Don't even consider another hotel. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The hotel is in close proximity to every park or restaurant. My fiance and I had the most amazing time. We plan on returning next year.

We just got back Saturday July 19th, I loved it. It was Soooo... Nice When you walk in it is lke a Grand Atrium. There are two large parrots not in cages and two small in cages when you go up to them sometimes they say hello when you do and sometimes they wave with thier claws. It was a beautiful lobby. And anytime there was a problem they were quick upstairs to fix it. The pool has a grotto and waterfalls it goes on for half a mile. There is also a private beach. I loved it. When you Check in you get a complementary glass of Champaine. You... more
Grand Cypress is Great!
I have travelled and stayed in beautiful hotels all over the world as The Travelling Gourmet (I'm a Travel, Food and Wine Writer) to review Food, Wine and Hotels, Resorts and destinations. The Grand Cypress resort is one of the world's best and I personally like to stay here when I am in Orlando. The huge pool with hot spas is superb. Hemingway's restaurant named after Ernest Hemingway (who else?) has fabulous SAS (steaks and seafood) and great tropical cocktails. The staff are friendly and when it comes to arranging a game of golf or... more
Hyatt Grand Cypress Resort Impresses
I can´t say enough good things about the Hyatt Grand Cypress. I´ve stayed at a number of the on site Disney hotels and none of them compare to the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.
We loved it!!!!
I read so many reviews on Orlando hotels that my head was spinning. I chose this one because everyone on trip advisor had good things to say about it. I had considered many others, but was scared off by some of the reviews. The reviews did not do this place justice. My kids, ages 5 and 6, would have been happy just staying at the hotel in the pool all day. We stayed for 7 nights in July. The staff was great. Our rooms were clean every day when we returned. It was so beautiful. The food at the hotel was expensive so we ate at other locations... more
Grand is an Understatement!
Grand is an understatement. I stayed here on a United Airlines Frequent Flyer perk and got 2 nights for the price of one. At that rate, it was a real bargain. The hotel is grand, (huge to be more precise). It sits in the middle of 1500 acres of golf courses, equestrian trails, hiking, a lake with its own beach. It is decorated with very high quality asian art and sculpture pieces. The lobby is the classic hyatt atrium. this one had a babbling creek running through it. I'd not seen anything like that since a hotel in Thailand. Its clearly a... more
