We stayed at the grand cypress over Christmas & new year and within a couple of days my husband decided we were going back next year.
It is a great hotel with fabulous facilities both for adults and children including kids clubs, also lovely pools and Jacuzzis and I had the best facial and massage at their beauty salon and health club.
There is just so many good things to say about it and lots of reasons to visit - it was brilliant!

All I can say is WOW! This place really is amazing. Before you can think of something or ask, the hotel and its dedicated team have already considered it or catered for it. Terrific food, wonderful range of restaurants, lots of on-site facilities including a wildlife reserve and free cycle use (which you'll need given the size of this resort). The room sizes are massive, we spent one week in a standard twin double room and then the second week in a Top floor Suite with amazing views over Orlando from a huge private sun terrace with patio furniture and sun loungers etc.
We had facials and massages here, and with its close proximity to Disney, we bought too much too bring home, so we used the on-site Business Centre to courier parcels back to Scotland and that service was very good like everything else.
The Hyatt Regency is a great place to relax and unwind during the day and be pampered if you want. Its also nice and close so you can take part in any of the Theme Parks and shopping centers including the Florida Mall. (Leave the credit cards in your room or you'll blow the bank)
As a fussy vegetarian I went with my partner to the White Horse Steak and Grill bar (on-site at the Hyatt) and thought I wonder what they'll be able to do for me here. The server got a chef to come over and make around 8 options available to me and he said if I still didn't want any of them, they'd just phone out for something - so like I say nothing was too much trouble and they could not do enough for us here.
And lets never forget the housekeeping staff who without them, the whole hotel experience would not be complete. The housekeeping standards at this hotel are clearly amongst the highest I have ever come across anywhere in the world. Well Done!

There was everything you needed. All the staff were very friendly especially in the restaurant. Food was very nice, yet more expensive in the hotel but standards were fantastic. Very good situation, Right next to Disney (you can even see fireworks going off from your room) and a shopping mall was 5 minutes drive away. Shopping was brill and very cheap, you can find everything. The hotel had everything needed so that you did not need to drive (yet a car is a good idea to see the rest of Orlando etc...) Golf at the hotel is very fun for all the family. The pool is open 24/7 which meant we could use it when ever (1 is heated 1 is not) Caters well for the more mature children slide, games room. The reception was very welcoming had had the 'WOW' factor with Christmas decorations and a huge tree, also there were parrots. The rooms were very nice with 2 large double beds, satellite TV, mini bar containing a range of different alcoholic and soft drinks and sweets. Spacious bathroom and a large wardrobe for all the shopping you do. Room services have a range of food to offer. Conference rooms and ball rooms are also available at the hotel. If fitness is the thing, there is a gym, different jogging tracks, and a range of water sports, bikes, swimming, golf and many more.
I am looking forward to returning to the Hyatt next year yet not do any theme parks despite the long flight the hotel makes it worth it. Overall great holiday.
