" FANTASTIC "
Submitted By: abrickellWe had a great view over the gardens near the relax pool which we used every day, the endless cold drinks and soft music was lovely.
There were plenty of places to eat and the food was really good, loads to choose from, we ate in the Italian Restaurant one night and that was very nice, well worth booking.
We did the quad biking/camel riding/dinner at bedouin camp trip and would definately recommend this, it was a great afternoon/evening out.
I would recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing break, we spent most evenings in the outside bar overlooking the bay, then the disco started at about 11pm and went on to 2am.
All in all a really good relaxing holiday..... give it a try!

Submitted By: stathamEverything was wonderful. From the room, the staff, the pools, the cleanliness, etc.
Just a five and a half hour flight in march and the weather is so good.
The staff are on the go all the time and can't do enough for you. Sameh at the slide pool and Faddy and Haney in the sports bar became great friends throughout the holiday. What a pleasure to have such lovely people around. They made our holiday. (Don't forget to tip if you are happy with the service).
There was a great choice of food from all of the resturants, making it a different choice every night. This is so good when in a complex. It can be a bit boring when eating in the same place every day. There was also a great choice of places to have a drink in the evening.
We did a couple of the trips while away. The V.I.P boat trip and the Quad bikes and camel ride. Both were so different but well worth doing.
We both can't wait to go back again next year.

Submitted By: hamij002The Reception was beautiful and the staff were very welcoming. We got a driver who took us to our room, 2146. As soon as we entered we were jumping with joy. It completely gave us an insight to what we were about to see on this holiday. Our room was cleaned everyday by a guy called ' Fhatti' and he made swans out of towels, and laid flower petils on the bed and made us feel extrememly special! He is the main main to clean your room! The first proper day that we had was just the best. When you look at a postcard and think to yourself, ' Its probably not like that',.. Well Reef Oasis Blue Bay turned that thought around. There is a bar that we called the beach bar because it serves your typical hot dogs, burgers, chicken, french fries, salads etc. They also do a mixture of drinks, coca cola, sprite, diet coca cola, and some fruit juices which are yummy, but if your a typical mum or dad who loves their latte's or cappacuinno's or even a hot chocolate, they do that for you aswell! And if your worried about eating salads, there is no need for you to worry when you visit Reef Oasis Blue Bay because my mum and dad ate the salads everyday, and throughout the whole holiday none of us had dodgey tummies. There is a blue bus that takes you to the beach, it comes every 8 mins, and drops you off anywhere! We made some really great friends on this holiday, some english, some italian and some of the staff that worked there. If heading to the beach is not your thing, well there are 3 swimming pools! One of which is the heated pool which I choose to go in, as the cold pool is absolutely freezing!!! However,I would definately recommend to do the 'all inclusive' deal just because you dont have to worry about bringing much money with you. We made the mistake of bringing £600 which was an extreme amount of egyptian money!! But we managed to spend it all! There is a tiny market on the resort, about 3 jewellery shops, 1 shop that does designer bags( obviously not real) But they look like the real thing and lots more other shops to go in. On the resort there are about 8 restaurants, but I highly recommend the 'le petite' because there is such a different range of food! For breakfast I definately recommend the pancakes or the english breakfasts,.. they were just out of this world,.. and for dinner time well they do a different range for different nationalities, for example, from shepherds pie, spaghetti bolegnese, chicken korma etc...( The best waiter there that we became friends with is 'Ihab', he is a lovely guy!)If you're looking for an exciting evening where you can party, have fun, get merry then i recommend the caribbean bar,( they also serve some food)Also, i recommend you book to do the quadbiking with Thomson, It is fabulous, they take you into the sinai desert and you get to go to a beduwin camp and they do food for you and you can also have ago at sheisha! A week was good but when we go again we would love to go for 2 weeks so that we can relax more but do more activities aswell! If you are looking for that relaxation, then head for the spa! We went to the spa twice in the week, we went in the Hydro-Pool which costs 15Euros, but is definately worth it! You can use the sauna, steam room and showers for free as its part of the all inclusive deal with Thomson! If there is anything you need Thomson will surely give it to you. They are there in the mornings and evenings for you to go and ask them about anything! We found no faults with this holiday it was perfect in everyway, when you visit this hotel, any other hotel will not match up! But the bad thing about this hotel is that its such a Great hotel that if you visited any other Hotel, You will expect high things from it!
So If your looking for a beautiful holiday for relaxation and a bit of excitement, the Reef Oasis Blue Bay resort is the holiday for you! I highly recommend it,.. And believe me when i tell you, if you dont go to this resort atleast once in your life, you will surely miss out on the things you truley dream of for a holiday!
5* Hotel,.. for definate!
Jasmin, 16, Berkshire, England
Advice: We loved the Reef Oasis Blue Bay Resort-We will surely be heading back
Activities: 'Le Petite' , Quadbiking with Thomson, The Beach and everything else!!!!!!

" Bloody Brilliant "
Submitted By: John MurdochStaying all inclusive was great, no need to turn up for breakfast, as you could always eat later at any of the poolside bars, local drinks available on request, or offered without request if poolside waiter was given modest tip. If I have any complaint about the food it is this, it was well presented, great food, but not served hot at times. On our last day we went for lunch and the food looked brill. I chose some roast potatoes and they were absolutely stone cold, not luke warm, stone cold. Not a major issue at this time of year, but quite probably a source of mummy tummy in summer months. This gripe apart the only other gripe I had was in the cost of imported alcohol. I was happy drinking the local beer but my son did not like beer. The local spirits are on a par with moonshine, so he contemplated a Jack Daniels and Coke. Jack Daniels was priced at 8 Euros (8 quid at current exchange rates) and bearing in mind that you are all inclusive this makes the extra over price for Jack as ridiculously high. Something to consider.
For those who have not been to Sharm before, please note the following. The hotel was fabulous but going for a walk at night was a no no. All hotels are protected by armed guards, there are frequent road blocks, and everywhere you go outwith your hotel you will be confronted with armed police or military personnel. The holiday is basically hotel based, unless you go on the organised trips. These are great, and we snorkelled, quad biked, flew to Luxor, and dined with the Bedouins in the dessert.
Nammba Bay is the nearest town/village but be prepared to be harassed by people trying to sell you anything under the sun, and they can be persistant. Fellow guests went there by the courtesy bus, which dropped them off and took them back 3 hours later, in their words they would have been delighted to have returned after 20 minutes.
All in all a fabulous hotel, great beach location, fantastic staff, and a holiday to remember. The current crisis in Gaza apart, which may spread and escalate, we intend returning in April. There can be no higher accolade. We would however not consider anywhere in Egypt in the summer months. Even in December the temperature was 29 centigrade.
Book and enjoy.

" Simply the best ! "
Submitted By: keryfordMy sister and I stayed for 1 week at the beginning of November. The weather was hot averaging 27oc to 35oc across the holiday with buckets of sun and no cloud.
On arrival at the hotel (tiered, hot, hungry and generally grumpy from an early start) we were greeted with smiley faces and a welcoming drink. We were escorted to our room in a golf buggy however, the room was not what we booked but after a quick discussion with reception we were shortly escorted to a selection of rooms for us to choose from (which were all equally as excellent as each other). We finally choose a room with 2 single beds. I was taken back wit the size of the room it was massive with single beds which were larger than average single beds, a large TV with a selection of English channels, a well stocked fridge and large wet room/bathroom and a free safe.
The whole experience of staying at this Hotel was fantastic from the friendly (not letchy) staff, excellent rooms, quality of food in the many restaurants, cleanliness and general helpfulness of everyone you met. There was a free bus which took you from the different parts of the hotel to the beach so that you did not have to walk in the sun (far to much effort!)
Not being a fan of holiday reps I decided to head to the talk where I was really pleased with the quality of the rep and the information he gave. I booked 3 trips whilst I was there and all were well worth the money. Quad biking for half a day into the dessert, Bedwin dinner and stars night - fantastic cultural evening and a boat trip to allow snorkeling and swimming. I would highly recommend all 3 and wish I had got a chance to do more !
This was a fanatic holiday and the hotel was the best I've ever stayed in. I would highly recommend it and I will be going back again in the future. If you could find a better hotel in Egypt I would be surprised.
Advice: I would highly recommend it and I will be going back again in the future.
Activities: Everything in the hotel or connected to the hotel is 10/10

" Dear sirs,
I am writing... "
I am writing to you to tell you about my holidays in your hotel Reef Oasis Blue Bay Resort last month
First I would like to thank everybody for such a good rest in your hotel. I was there with my wife . I should say that I have been to Egypt four times and that time was the best.
We liked everything: the welcome, the room, the restraints, bars. It is difficult to express my emotions because the holiday was really, really nice, thanks to your hotel and special thanks to the hotel staff accept lobby bar staff they sell hashish very expensive
Most of the time we spend our time on the lobby bar, of course. Every day we had drinks in lobby bar the barman moataz and mahmoud if am not mistaken. They asked me if I want hashish but it was very expensive in old market it was cheap … ha ha ha but by any way thanks for every one in your hotel it was nice holiday
We think to come to this hotel next year to stay in your hotel and to see this nice staff and our famous { moataz and mahmoud }

Rooms -
Very well furnished and spotlessley clean. Hotel provides shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, a shower cap, a sewing kit and a bar of soap should you need it. The bathroom has a walk - in shower with clothesline and a hairdryer. Room includes TV with several channels - including Euronews (Chnl 1&2) and Space Toons for children (Chnl 11). Minibar has approximatley 6 cans of fizzy drink (mixture of sprite, orange fanta, diet coke and coca cola) aswell as 2 sml btls of water or 1 lrge btl. All drinks are free and are restocked when your room is cleaned. Spacious built-in wardrobe with a few hangers and a safe to store precious belongings.
Food -
The Le Petit main resteraunt was clearly my favourite. There was non-stop service and food beyond your imagination. Breakfast served food such as -
cold meat
cheese
pastries
bread (toaster)
jams and conserves
beef bacon
chicken sausages
fried egg
scrambled egg
yogurts
waffles
pancakes
cereals
fruit
Dinner time was always my favourite. -
several hot meal choices
rice
potatos
chicken
fish
chips
hotdog sausages
Pasta or Spaghetti
several continental salads
various olive dishes
salad selection
hot meat (cut on the spot)
bread and pastries
plus a delightful selection of cakes and desserts which looked amazing.
You may have been told by many other reviews that tap water isn't safe to drink or swallow. This is perfectly correct, but when ordering drinks ( and ice ) from bars and resteraunts in the hotel - all is bottled water and safe to drink.
Salads and vegetables are also fine.
Leisure Pool -
We only visited two pools in our stay as but we loved this one! With both shallow and deeper areas, plus a bubbling jacuzzi, this pool is sure to meet all of your needs. The pool circles 3 water slides, which are open in periods throughout the day. The pool is surrounded by sunbeds so there is much choice if you choose sunbeds in the morning which is a paticularly good idea as by lunchtime the pools is packed! Their is also a bar at the back which serves food and drink should you feel peckish. There is no need to bring your own towels - unless you are going on a Red Sea Cruise (see the section). Upon arrival you will be given a towel card each, which you give in at a towel centre (located near pools) in exchange for towels to lay on your sunbeds. Occasionly, waitors come round with fresh juices for an extra charge of 3 euros which is added to your bill which you pay when you check out.
Thompson Kidzone (Written by my daughter)
Kidzone was really cool, with Nutty Nikki, Cheeky Charlie and Grandma Fred. We did loads of good activities and for two hours each day. There is also an evening activity for all ages which you must sign up for and pay a fee of 30 egyptian pound to cover the cost for nibbles etc.
Red Sea Cruise
Was a really relaxing 6 hour cruise. You sat up on deck and before you arrived at the marina you had a chance to hire flippers and snorkel masks for the days cruise. Their are 3, 45 minute snorkel stops. One 45 minutes along the way, another 10 minutes away from the first stop, and the last stop is 1hr 10mins from the second stop. Cruise provides a meal with the basic foods and fanta, coke and sprite to drink, plus a water fountain should you want water. Snorkelling was amazing and if you changed your mind, you can just go swimming instead if you like. Life jackets are availible for weak swimmers and children. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and stayed onboard with the people not going in the sea to keep them company. Deck is furnished with several corner group sofas and coffee tables. For this excursion you must bring your own towels as the boat does not provide them.
United Submarines
We booked this trip in the resort as there is a shop in which you can book and excursion on the submarines. We booked a trip on the Challenger SS-761. We chose this submarine as it was the only one with a toilet. It doesn't go completely underwater. Half is above deck and half is below deck. The lower deck was fully air-conditioned and had two stools to one window. Before boarding, you have a chance to buy drinks and a red sea fish programme for a small cost. We saw some amazing fish and they came right up close. It was a fascinating experience and we all agree that we would definitely do it again if we had the chance.
Naama by Night
Was an excursion which took you to Naama Bay and you had 45 mins shopping and then to a floating resteraunt which had a 3 course meal which finished with an arabic folk show. The menu was from a set menu. Here is what we could choose from.
Soup
Cream of Mushroom Soup
or
French Onion Soup
or
Cream of Tomato Soup
(served with fresh cream and croutons)
Starters
Caprese Salad
(Tomatoes, Mozzarella cheese, basil, olive oil & balsamic vinegar)
or
Shrimps Cocktail
(Fresh Shrimps, lettuce served with cocktail sauce)
or
Racoula Salad
(Racoula, fresh mushrooms with balsamic vinegar & olive oil. Garnish with flakes of Parmesan cheese)
Main Course
Grilled Fillet of Sea Bass
(Served it a garlic sauce & garnish with a bouquet of vegetables)
or
Chicken Ambassador
(Chicken breast served with cream of mushroom & walnut sauce)
or
Ravioli Pomodoro
(Home made ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese, served with tomato sauce)
or
Veal Piccatta
(Served with basmati rice and mushroom sauce)
Dessert
Nougat Glacee
(Served with caramel & strawberry sauce)
or
Cream Brulee
or
Fruit Salad Tempale
We all enjoyed the meal except for my daughter, who was feeling sick but we were sure she would have enjoyed it as I had the same meal and thought it was delightful.
We also got the chance to see several lionfish. If you touch it's spines, it is fatal so it was amazing to see it so close up.
Overall, we all thouroughly enjoyed our holiday and are definitely coming back in the near future.

Submitted By: Miss A ZoldThe weather was around 38-45 degrees C and this was early July!
HOTEL
First of all I will discuss the hotel- You must note that this hotel is huge! You are in danger of walking everywhere so if you want to be uber lazy then be prepared to work for it!
If you have walking problems this isn't the holiday for you!
The room is fab!! VERY CLEAN, VERY COMFORTABLE, and very contemporary. You have a safe for your valuables, A/C and a mini fridge which is stocked up on a daily basis which was very helpful for us as we used the water daily to take down to the pool to keep hydrated through out the day. The cleaner was lovely, he even made animals from our towels!
Every day whilst on our way to breakfast we decided to get towels on the way and find some sunbeds- now we did this because we found that after around 9am you would struggle to find a sunbed. This was a real pain in the *** because we found ourselves rushing in the morning and even 9am was too late to find a sunbed in a good location that stayed in the sun all day!
THE FOOD...
Well, when reading reviews on this holiday I thought people were being snobs about the lack of choice of food in the resturants, however, they were very correct!
The only meal that I liked was breakfast because they offered normal cerial, yougurts, and pastries. Lunch and Dinner was very pot luck- they offer lots of varieties of food but i can't say they taste all that great! They cater for the french, Italiains, Germans and us Brits so you must expect to see food you haven't heard or tasted before.
Half way through our holiday the food started to become VERY much the same, however, I would definatley recommend the ITALIAN resturant because you only have to pay for a few things on the menu and the food is of much better quality!!!!
If you fancy indulging in a posh resturant PLEASE GO TO THE FRENCH RESTURANT- IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!! You have to pay for everything but it is worth every penny! The set menu for 35 euros is worth it!
MUMMY TUMMY
Take- 'PEPTO BISMOL' with you (you get it from boots- behind the counter) as it cured my boyfriends 'mummy tummy' quickly and effectivly!
THE BEACH-
Its wonderful and the jetty is even better - we spent most afternoons jumping into the sea and watching all the fish and looking at the coral.
The beach bar is great- it serves bugers, chips, hotdogs and salad. You can sit in the shade and watch the day go by!
THE STAFF-
The receptionists were great, very helpful, no complaints at all!
The staff around the resort are so happy all the time- they graft so hard and still find the time to say hello!
If you need to keep in contact with the world when you're away there is free wifi in reception which is very easy to use- you must bring your own laptop though.
This holiday was really good- the resort was so pretty, clean, and had such a friendly atmosphere. I have rated it 8/10 purley because of the food quality and the fact that there are still parts of the resort being built.
I will be going back in the future but may wait until it is fully finished. I wil also be going back with more money and for two weeks instead of one!
" Just returned from 7 days in the sun-... "
Submitted By: Mrs C PawseyBE AWARE - there are two hotels of the same name in sharm - the reef oasis blue bay beach and the reef oasis blue bay spa run by the same hotel chain.
we stayed at the reef oasis beach.and i will let you know all the positive stuff first... massive hotel with good facilities the pools are amazing and like a warm bath we found it was best to stay by the pool by our room, as the other pools were very crowded andyou could not get a parasol unless you walked down very early, the waiters were great, the reception staff were exceptional and the pool lads could not do enough for you.
The cleaner was lovely and made shapes with my short set each day! the rooms in block 1200 were new very large and the beds and pillows were to die for- in fact i was sooo close to stealing the pillow to take home, but the wrap of guilt would not let me!!!
now please read on the the real facts of the complex -
'mummy tummy' this in fact is quite serious - i would say 6/10 people got it and i have never experianced anything like it in my life, we saw the doctor called out a few times and that cost £75 - immodium does not work, you may as well swallow a smartie! As we sat in reception there were russians and italians coming back from the pharmacy with the same yellow and green boxes as we had a few days previous and some friends we made at the resort they also were laid up with it too, so be aware - the first two days i was thinking 'cool' i'm ok but then it hit like a ton of bricks so to speak. So i would suggest on your first day you go staight to the chemist and get the tabletsas you will need them!
The main part of the hotel could do with a bit of a face lift as looking a tad rough, but it is passable at night as the lighting is low.
hotel taxis - whatever price they give you HALF as they try and take the pee-
ciggarettes - in the hotel £20 for 200 all major brands, take a trip into nama bay and they are £7.00 for 200, be aware tho as there are also chinese fakes.
The food, well i never go abroad and expect to eat egg and chips like benidorm holidays - i like to try the national cusine - but i can honestly say the food was amazinley crap!! We hardley ate anything all holiday as it was sooooo bad the only decent thing was the breakfast omlette and pancakes, the evening food was slops and thats the only way i can descibe it. Now the moonlight restaurant (which you pay for) was nice the steak was beautiful, the italian was ok they make pizza to order the pasta was ok'ish but everyone has their own tastes, and this food was not to my standard.
I would not say this hotel was a 5 star at all perhaps a generous 3.
we booked our holiday independantly after reading the reviews we flew out with amc airlines - try and avoid this if you can as there is only two drinks given on the flight and NO alcohol is served as it is a muslim run airline.
If you do book independantly your rep at the hotel is call syeed - BE AWARE OF HIM!!!!!!! he tries to be a london jack the lad and i nearly had to call the police on him. He will invite you to the rep meeting and tell you to bring your tickets to confirm you coach trip back to the airport- this is just to get you there and force excursions on you. the little s*** called us to reception the day before we were due to fly home and said our flight had been changed from 07.15 to 19.15 on the sunday.
next moning a 0710 we get a note through the door saying we had missed our flight home to birmingham airport... thats when the trouble started, after 15+ phone calls to him to try and get us home he booked us a flight into manchester which was no good for us - then we made another call and he said 'my job is done i wipe my hand of you' and turned off his phone......... we had to pay 275 to the hotel to stay in our room and 498 to easyjet to get a flight home - we were not impressed and it did make the end of our holiday un pleasant.
ladies - there is NO topless sunbathing allowed, so take strapless bikinis with you.
wine is only served with your meal in the smallest glasses i have ever seen, you cannot get wine at the main bar, G&T is good tho' and the beer is great.
also what you see on the internet really is not a true picture of the resort, its just the best bits really.
there is a fridge in the room but it is never stocked up, we took bottled water from the bar and kept it in the fridge. if you stay by the pool near your room you will find in the centre the is two juice machines pineapple and orange sqaush and water, these normally run out by about 10am they were refilled but they are warm so keep plenty of cold drinks in your fridge as it is so hot in sharm you need to drink loads each day!
i would go back to egypt again but would not choose this hotel - perhaps the other one would be better.

Cons = evening entertainment.
If you are going to sharm then look no further and book into the Reef Oasis blue bay resort and spa, the hotel is stunning, rooms very large and spotless, the many resturants provided excellent food and plenty of choice (as a chef i am normally very critical but couldnt fault the food)the private beach was excellent, towels provided, there are 4-5 pools with one that was for adults only. The only downside was the evening entertainment was more geared to kids, my wife and i met another family, had it not been for this i think we would have struggled to find any suitable entertainment in the evenings.
