Comments:  firstly red hot in july/august over 40 in day and over 30 at night, beaware of the heat is was too hot, pls take hydration packs 1 a day plus water is all you need, you can buy them at hotel clinic £4 for box of 10 niece collapsed due to heat was ok after.

hotel good points-hotel was beaut a good 4 star, we had a quad room which sleeps 4 it was massive, 5 pools, 24 hour bar, local beer sakara was ok,food ok just got sick of it during end but there are other restaurants you can use (some chargable), some staff great, towels available for pool, we booked with thomson and our rep fiona was brill.

hotel bad points-entertainment a bit naff, not many english, hotel used 4 different currencies £,$,euro and there money to confusing, booked a trip with company tibi-trip which operates in hotels, not what we expected don't bother use tour operator (you have been warned).

other points- sister hotel dreams beach vacation is alot more expensive to stay in but is only 5 mins away don''t bother, brother stayed there an he prefered ours.
narna-bay is really expensive for drinks we got done for £33 for 5 beers, 2 cokes and 2 vodka cokes.
just 10mins away from hotel there is a place called fantasia which as kfc, mac-dons and pizza hut, also there are english bars and are alot cheaper.
visited aqua park it was a good day out.
over all a good holiday and will go back

Comments:  If it weren’t for the snorkelling, which was excellent, this resort would get only 3 out of 10.
In a nutshell:
*Food reasonable but very repetitive.
*Staff okay when it suited them but always on the look out for that tip.
*Resort was clean and reasonably well maintained.
*If you want to snorkel stay in the Dreams Beach as he Dreams Vacation was a long walk, which on a hot day was a pain.
*Snorkelling was out of this world.
*Entertainment was awful.
*Red Sea boat trip well worth the money.

Comments:  JUST RETURNED FROM DREAMS VACATION. I WOULD DEFINATLEY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AS IT HAS A VERY HIGH SPEC OF CLEANLINESS. THE FOOD IS OKAY BUT DOESNT REALLY CATER FOR ENGLISH MUCH AS THEY DO FOR OTHER NATIONALITIES. WHEN ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A THEME NIGHT THE FOOD IS ALWAYS THE SAME FOR DINNER/LUNCH AND TEA. THERE ISNT MUCH CHOICE IF YOUR A FUSSY EATER. THERE ARE OTHER RESTERAUNTS ON THE DREAMS GROUNDS SUCH AS THE ASIA HOUSE WHICH DOES CHINESE AND INDIAN AND THERE IS ALSO A MEXICAN WHICH IS A 4 COURSE MEAL. THESE ARE FAIRLY CHEAP AND VERY NICE. THERE ARE ALSO OTHER EATING PLACES AT DREAMS BEACH WHICH YOU CAN JUMP ON THE TAFF TAFF TO GET THERE. THERE ARE 7 POOLS, 5 OF WHICH ARE IN DREAMS VACATION AND 2 IN DREAMS BEACH. THERE ARE 2 SLIDES TO KEEP CHILDREN OCCUPIED. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO TAKE HAND GEL EVERYWHERE WITH YOU AS YOU NEED TO WASH YOUR HANDS ALL THE TIME AS YOU ARE ALWAYS SHAKING PEOPLES HANDS AND TOUCHING THERE MONEY, WHICH COULD MAKE YOU HAVE AN UPSET STOMACH. THERE ARE A RANGE OF EXCURSIONS YOU CAN DO WHICH ARE VERY GOOD. THE ENTERTAINMENT IS FAIRLY GOOD AND GIVES YOU SOMETHING TO DO WHICH YOU WILL ALL FIND SOMETHING TO LAUGH AT. THE ANIMATION TEAM ARE GUARENTEED TO ENTERTAIN YOU. YOU MAY GET HASSLED WHILST YOU ARE AROUND THE POOL RELAXING BUT THATS BECAUSE THEY ARE ON COMMISION. JUST FIRMLY SAY NO AND THEY LEAVE YOU ALONE. THERE ARE VARIOUS THINGS YOU CAN HAVE DONE SUCH AS MASSAGES AND GO TO THE BEAUTY SALON. I WOULD RECOMMEND DREAMS VACATION RESORT TO ANYONE. IT IS WORTH GOING. :)

Comments:  HAVE JUST GOT BACK FROM DREAMS AND HAD A GREAT TIME. THE FOOD IS REPETETIVE BUT OF GOOD QUALITY BUT THERE ARE OTHER PLACES TO EAT. THE PERGOLA AND THE GRILL HOUSE ARE FREE AND THE MEXICAN AND ASIA HOUSE HAVE TO BE PAID FOR BUT THEY ARE VERY CHEAP AND YOU GET LOADS OF FOOD. THE POOLS ARE GREAT AND SO ARE THE BARS. DONT GET ANNOYED BY THE GUYS THAT COME ROUND TRYING TO SELL YOU MASSAGES ETC THEY WORK ON COMMISSION ONLY. ALFIE FROM THE BEAUTY SALON IS WONDERFUL. IF YOU TREAT HIM WELL YOU WILL HAVE A FRIEND FOR LIFE. MY HUSBAND WENT FOR TWO MASSAGES WHICH WERE GREAT AND WE BOTH WENT TO THE BEAUTY SALON, ME FOR A MANICURE AND HIM FOR A SHAVE. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. WE DID GET THE RUNS BUT WE WENT STRAIGHT TO THE CLINIC DOWN AT DREAMS BEACH AND GOT SOME TABLETS THAT WORKED IMMEDIATELY. WE DONT THINK IT WAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE FOOD THOUGH. IT WAS PROBABLY THAT IT WAS SO HOT AND WE WERENT DRINKING ENOUGH. WE WERE WARNED. IF YOU TIP YOUR MAN MAID HE WILL PUT EXTRA DRINKS IN YOUR MINI BAR. IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT PLEASE GO TO CAIRO ITS A BRILLIANT BUT LONG DAY OUT AND SOMETHING YOU WILL ONLY DO ONCE IN YOUR LIFE. THE REP, FIONA, ITS REALLY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY AND CANT DO ENOUGH FOR YOU. IT IS ABSOLUTELY BOILING HOT BUT YOU WILL GET USED TO IT AFTER A WHILE AND YOU WILL TAN REALLY EASILY, EVEN IN THE SHADE!! THE LITTLE TAFF TAFF BUS IS GOOD FOR TAKING YOU BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN THE HOTELS AND SO IS THE SHUTTLE BUS THAT TAKES YOU TO NAAMA BAY IN THE EVENINGS. GET A SNORKEL AND MASK AND GO DOWN TO THE JETTY AND SEE ALL THE FISH IN THE SEA. MY HUSBAND AND SON WOULD GO DOWN AT SEVEN IN THE MORNING WHEN IT WAS QUIET AND THEY TOOK SOME WATREPROOF CAMERAS WITH THEM. ALL IN ALL WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND MADE SOME FRIENDS AND WOULD GO BACK.

Comments:  Just returned after 2 weeks at Dreams Vacation. The complex is spotless clean as are the rooms which are cleaned every day. Linen and towels also changed everday. The rooms are also a good size and the air conditioning is great. The pools at Vacation are great for relaxing. If you want more action go to Dreams Beach pools. The staff are friendly. The only downside to this hotel is the food. It is the same for lunch and dinner everday even when its supposed to be a theme night. We ate in the new Asian restaurant and it was good. The grill house at Dreams Beach was also good. It was also impossible to get a cold drink (a must in the heat). The hotel runs a shuttle bus twice nightly to Naama Bay (book daily at hotel) although a taxi only costs about £7.00 return. We went to Naama Bay a few times and ate at the Hard Rock which was great good value and good portions. We visited Old Sharm never again the men were awful and there was rats running around in the old market. We did a trip from Sharm to Luxor and Cairo staying overnight in Luxor flying with Egyptair through Sharm Club it was excellent. Saved around £500.00 from Thomson prices. The rep was not much good at the hotel she told us that we could not eat at Dreams Beach and had to take a packed Lunch to the beach. WRONG . All in all the Hotel was good although a little quiet the food let it down badly.

Comments:  myself and my boyfriend got back from this resort on 26.06.08. we had a great time here but we wouldnt go back again. the hotel was very clean, our rooms were cleaned everyday and the staff were very friendly. if you want to go on excursions book them asap. we went to Cairo and did the Red sea cruise and they were both amazing and well worth doing...but they get booked up fast! i would definatly recommend the MEXICAN and GRILLHOUSE. they were both brilliant. very friendly and the food was superb! you have to pay for the mexican but it was only £11 pp for a 4course meal.the animation team were a laugh and the shows in the evening were very funny. theres a 'taff-taff' which is like a little bus that takes you to and from the 2 hotels - great on a hot afternoon! the man who drives it is great and very friendly. the lifegaurd Mohammed was a great laugh too. they dont get paid much and all the staff work so hard, yet they are always friendly.
the only disappiontments about this hotel were:
* basically everyone in the hotel got a very bad upset stomach. immodium and diocalm didnt work. we and alot of others had to go to the clinic (in dreams beach resort) to get some stronger tablets. i know yuu probably expect to get an upset stomach but we met people from other hotels who have been to egypt several times and have never got it, and nearly everyone in our hotel got it.
* secondly if you have young daughters just be abit cautious. we made friends with woman who was with her daughter and some of the men went go on and on and on about how pretty she was and they wouldnt leave her alone. it seemed friendly at first but they can get abit annoying and can make you feel very uncomfortable.
* lastly the food in the mian buffet is very repetative and if you are a fussy eater then there isnt much choice. its basically the same food for lunch and dinner everyday. we stayed here for 11 nights so after a week we were fed up with it.
also everyone expects tips, so just be aware of that - especially if you go on excursions as you sometimes have to pay to use the toilets!!
also you have alot of people going around the pool area trying to get you to buy stuff, book up with the restaurants or massages ect if you dont want to book anything be firm and just say NO. they are not rude to you but they try to persuade you as much as possable.
all in all we had a lovely holiday and made some great friends, but i wouldnt return to this resort or sister resort (dreams beach) again.
if you have booked your holiday with this resort you will have a lovely time and meet some great people, but just remember to be very careful what you eat, dont drink their water and wash your hands everytime you touch their money ect.

Comments:  Got back from dreams vacation 13-06-08 & had a fantastic time my fiancé & I loved it. The weather was absolutely gorgeous; accommodation was nice the pools were lovely. Our room was above Asia house so we had a lovely view of the pool. The food in the main buffet restaurant was a bit repetitive but was better than other ‘all exclusive’ hotels we've stayed at in the past, we also had the choice of eating at Pergolas (Italian) and the Grill house free but only twice within the holiday which was a nice change of scenery. We also ate at the Mexican, Asia House & at the Bedouin night (which only happens on a Sunday & Wednesday otherwise it’s a lovely chill out area where you can gaze up at the stars smoke a shisha pipe at a small cost), which you had to pay for but none of them went above £14 per person. The staff are really friendly one of them took a shine to us he was called Wael (pronounced Whale!). All the staff were ultra friendly. Like previous people have said they didn’t like it if you thought something was wrong. They were continually looking for ways they can improve things. I was impressed with the staff as they worked long hours (in fact they live at the hotel and get 7-10days holiday-which most use to go home & visit family) and still manage to remain as friendly/jolly as at the beginning of there shift!
Our holiday rep was of no real help at all. That's a whole negative story that I don’t wish to add to my positive report of our holiday!!
There was a little train called the “taff taff” which took you from dreams vacation to the dreams beach end which was helpful especially on those really warm evenings!! The pools at dream beach were a bit ‘Benidorm’ like in terms of noise, the swim up bar, pool games etc if you like noise you’d prefer this end as ours was more relaxed & peaceful.
You need to be strong when the representatives of the restaurants, the beauty parlour, tattoos or trips approach you because they will try their hardest to back you into a corner they’re not aggressive but like to use the power of persuasion :)
The things I would recommend are:-
• Take Imodium
• Taking some antibacterial gel (such as carex) because the Egyptian money is very dirty and may be one of the causes of an upset tummy. If not just wash your hands after touching the money.
• If you really can’t drink water take re-hydration tablets because at this time of the year it is mega hot and if don’t drink your likely to suffer from sun stroke.
• Take a high factor suncream (You will still tan- I didn’t put suncream on under my bikini and still got burnt!!) be really careful try to sit in the shade when you can as well just again so you don’t suffer the affects of sun stroke, like my fiancé you’ll still tan in the shade!!!
• Book your excursions before you go if you know what you want to do because you go on personalised trips which are really nice as you don’t have other people around just the tour guide. And as they’re Egyptian they really know what they’re talking about!
• Make sure you always have a small amount of money on you because you’ll be forever asked to leave tips (especially if you venture outside the resort).
• If you see a big blue sign that say’s PUBLIC BEACH with free in one corner, ignore it!! It’s not public & it’s certainly not free!!!

Comments:  came back last week, had a great time will def go again, the sister hotel with the beach is great though will still stay at vacations, my partner saw a turtle, sting rays, shark and 4 manta rays so was amazing snorkelling.
Staff mostly polite just one man who served the pancakes was moody & made me feel uncomfortable.
Hotel clean & tidy & the food was fine, lots to choose from.
As with most places the evening entertainment is pretty dire but ok for kids though after nine it can be a bit OTT if kids still watching, there is a disco and the sister hotel but we did not use it.
We took advantage of the free meals in the sister hotel & the beduion night & enjoyed that.
Had a bit of a mix up with rooms when we arrived but we came to an agreement,( they expected our 10 & 12 year old to have an apartment to themselves instead of a family room, so be careful when booking.
Overall excellent & will return though prob not with Thompson unless they cheer their flight staff up as they were rude & miserable bunch .

Comments:  Dreams Vacation Resort

I have just returned from Dreams vacation resort with my girlfriend. We had an ok holiday. The weather was great and the resort is well maintained

Bad points

Entertainment was very poor the entertainment team spend more time chatting up the girls and worrying about themselves etc
Food was poor and bad quality (Asian house and Mexican restaurant was good)
More Germans and Russians than English
I found the Egyptian men act like they have never seen women and stare at everything that moves also the men who run the shops can be quite heavy and try and push you into buying

Comments:  First visit to Sharm the airport arrival is chaotic and frightening would not have liked to have had children with me especially with 4 plane loads of people arriving at the same time and no organisation (every man/women for themselves) they need to have this sorted. Dreams Vacation resort is clean and well looked after always staff there to help. Our room was clean and towels changed daily, make sure you sign the declaration the Hotel is suppost to show you if you have a balcony as Thomson feel it does not come up to their standard and do not accept responsibilty.

Food was interesting if not a bit wierd at times, fridge in room was handy (normally 2-3 bottles of water and a couple of soda drinks free) but tell the "bell boys" you'll tip them (if you want) at the end of your holiday or you will receive a knock at the door every night asking if you want water, expecting a tip.
Had a chinese meal at the "Asian House" this was excellant, however a bit disapointed that you are expected to pay also a meal at the Mexican again having to pay. Although fully inclusive, at morning breakfast if you want fresh sqeezed juice you have to pay, you will be pestered by staff to have meals at these restaurants whether you are by the pool side or having breakfast as early as 7.30am be firm and they should not bother you.
Downside to the restaurant was the flies.
Encountered the most greedy and bad mannered Russians I wish to meet.
Weather is extremely hot and can be a little bit windy at this time of year so be careful saw a lot of peeling bodies. The snorkelling was fantastic. Tip, take Omodium hubby came down with a very bad case of gastroenteritis which cost us £150.00 for doctors fees.

Comments:  Just returned from Dreams Vacation and had a really nice week. The weather was fantastic, sea warm but occasionally choppy due to it still being Spring, and surprisingly the pools were so cold.

Snorkling was absolutely fantastic and I can't begin to describe the variety and colours of the marine life. Truely amazing. We even say a manta ray from the rocks just below the beach bar, that's how clear the water is and how near the fish come to the edge of the water.

I would concur with some of the previous comments regarding pigeons and Russians which I guess could be put in the same category!

Our towels and sheets were changed daily even though we hung them up (the towels that is) and didn't throw them in the bath. Towels were invariably thick and fluffy - both in the room and for the beach.

On the subject of food - well I guess one man's meat is another man's poison but I think you would be hard pressed not to find something to eat that pleased the taste buds. There were some very strange foods available like mashed potato for breakfast - now what's all that about? The freshly made omlettes were lovely but didn't try some of the more questionable offerings. We ate at the Grill, Pergola and Mexican which made a nice change from the Andalucia. I have high standards where food is concerned and really couldn't complain at all.

My partner is a Carling man and found the beer very weak so don't worry about getting sozzled as you could drink all day to no effect. The glasses are small and once the head has gone, you are left with about 1/4 - 1/3 of a pint.

The staff were really friendly in a genuine way but beware - some will ask for money and want to change coins for notes. Its understandable when they only earn about £75 a month but was happy to change coins for notes but not about being asked for money. In terms of massage, magic feet and trip people; they do hassle you and this can be annoying to say the least. Just be firm but polite and they will leave you alone. Medo is good for booking glass bottom boat, speed boat and quad biking as his prices are below those of Thompsons. He roves all over the complex and is a very friendly guy.

Avoid arriving and departing on Thursday as it is mahem at the airport as it's their busiest day and believe me it is mayhem with 1,000's of people queueing up for immigration, visas, passport control, security etc etc. Never experienced anything like it and they should get things better organised. Even had to queue 1/2 hour on the coach to get into the airport car park.

Take some Imodium as you'll need it.

Overall a lovely place which we shall re-vist.

Comments:  We have just spent a week at this resort, 10th to 16th March. I was there with my wife & adult son & daughter. We had adjacent twin rooms, block 51, near the activity pool. We found this to be quiet at night, the music & shows stopped at 11 o'clock, but close enough to all the facilities. The rooms were cleaned everyday & fresh towels available but we used them two or three times before we changed them.

The rooms were comfortable with a/c & heating. The mini bar was replenished daily with soft drinks. A small tip at the start of the week goes a long way. All the room staff are very friendly. Not much on the TV if you needed to keep the kids quiet for a while, unless they are into world news.

The hotel has a good choice of restaraunts, several of these need to be booked early in your stay as they are very popular. We ate in the Grill Bar & My Place, both bookable but free. The Grill bar was as expected, chicken, fish, kebabs etc. If you want vegetarian meals ask as you go in. We enjoyed it but the food was not that special. I filled in a comment card, marking the food as fair, and the staff were realy concerned that we had not enjoyed it. We had a 10 min. discussion on what we thought they could do to improve anything.

We ate in My Place on Sunday night, this also happened to be our son's 21st birthday. The staff couldn't do enough for us, they even supplied a cake & the piano player played happy birthday whilst the staff sung the song. The food in here was excellent, again ask for vegetarian options. Both restaraunts only offer set menus so you might want to check what food is on what night.

The Chinese/Indian, The Love Boat & the Mexican restaraunts are also bookable but at an extra charge. We ate in the Aisa House & eat Chinese food. They operate a minimum charge system that worked out at £8 / person. The food was excellent, the only problem being that they had no lychees but they were still on the menu. Again they were so apologetic to the point of overkill. They guy that takes the booking was still apologising the day after.

We spoke to people who eat in the Mexican restaraunt, they also gave it top marks. A great place if you fancy a good steak.

I cannot comment on the Love Boat, as I am the only fish eater we stayed away from it. Didn't speak to anyone that did use it.

The standard of food in the other restaraunts was good but a little repetative in the Andalucia. We went down to the L'Opera restaraunt in Dreams Beach, this is a nicer setting & we thought it had a more varied choice of food.

This is chips & burgers / hot dogs etc. available in Dreams Beach. There was also pancakes available at several bars in the afternoon. Tea, coffee & alcoholic drinks were available but wine was only served anywhere during meal times. The drinks are what you would expect on these type of holidays, not the best but certainly not the worst we've had.

There are enough pools to use but they were a bit cold this early in the season. Not sure if there would be enough room around the pools at high season. Again the staff are very friendly & will get yours drinks etc. if asked.

The beach area is man made, cut into the rocks. It is set out in several smaller areas but these tend to get 'towelled' up early in the morning. There are bars etc. at the beach, massage areas but little else. The sea was a little rough, this may be early season, & only accessible from two jettys. The longest one being made of submerged concrete blocks was quite slippy.

Our son went to the Disco most nights, this IS included in the price. Free entrance & drinks till 02:00. He enjoyed it & was out till 02:30 most nights.

Finally the weather. We actually felt a few drops of rain, I mean a few, but it was still hot. A couple of days it was breezy for an hour or so but that soon settled down. Towards the end of week we could feel the temperature rising. The evenings could be a little chilly, if you feel it, but most people were still in t-shirts etc.

Comments:  Have just returned from 2 weeks in dreams vacation Sharm El Sheikh, it was a brilliant holiday perhaps the best ever, weather was very good, hotel rooms very clean and well maintained, the facilities and the staff at the hotel are five star plus, but I must admit I found the pools a little cold. Tips:- take an unlocked mobile phone and buy a sim card off of Sam in the electric shop as calls home can be very expensive, Sam is very helpful and can fix anything. Food at resturants and beach at sister hotel Dreams Beach are very good well worth a visit. The jewel in the crown of Dreams Vacation is Abrahim and his lobby bar staff Mohamed, Archmed,Samear,Wean etc etc, all very professional but really friendly and so much fun to be around. I would recomend to anybody of any age, go you will enjoy.
