too traditional ????
from mikeCalverton
Ok you know about the steps not a problem for us and you can go around the top easier anyway. The reception asks you to leave your key - No No No - not when they leave your keys out for any Tom Dick or Harry to go in your room. They may think its safe but why have the mopeds all got chains on them.! Nice family I thought but very inflexible about dinning choices and drinks 350 euro a pint and 175 for a bag of crisp (not our crisp ,theirs!). The pool area is great with good recliners and the pool to yourself most of the time.<br...

An honest opinion.....
from sophie2450
We booked this fairly last minute through Thomson. The reason I chose this hotel is because I didnt want the whole massive resort hotel with a cabaret act every night and millions of people sat around the pool all day. This hotel really is what it says on the box - its quiet, family run and is very, very quirky. The gardens are amazing, just perfect to sit in and have a glass of Sangria and the paella was lovely. The family were very kind and very welcoming. However.... the rooms are very small and if you are at the front of the...

This hotel is living on the fact that it was featured in the holiday program wish you were here. This must have been in 2000 the hotel garden are something special but the hotel accomadation is poor.the breakfast is limited plenty of eggs boiled, fried etc.there are many steps not for any elderly person or any one with mobility problems rooms at the back are very quiet and the best but have no views over the bay of santa Eulalia the front rooms do but are very noisy. The swimming pool is great and the sun beds 5star the hotel has no...

we stayed for 12 nights at the hostel when we were given our room we thought o my god, but we didnt pay a lot for it so we gave it a go . the owners wanted 3 euros a night for a fan, we bought our own for 20 euros and used that. we ate at there restrant 10 out of the 12ve nights you could not fault it. the pool area was very good with good comfy sunloungers and no towels in sight on a morning. the steps up to the entrance are a bit steep but if you use the ones just to the right they are ok. the owners are very nice and polite the breakfast...

LOADS OF CHARACTOR

My wife and I found this hotel to be very nice. Since it is a two star hotel the rooms are not posh, but, they are very nice. Our room had a small balcony that was in a grove of palm trees at the rear of the building, and it was exceptionaly quiet and peaceful. The garden and pool are what make this place special . It was a great place to have drink after being at the beach or after dinner. I doubt if there is another hotel garden like it in Santa Eulalia; it is that lovely. The garden is full of a variety of trees, flowers, and...

What a find!
from pinklypig
A lovely old family run hotel - very attractive building. I asked for a light and airy room as am claustrophobic and was given one right at the front with a sea view - they could not have been more helpful. You felt that nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was adequate continental type - every once in a while you were given eggs and bacon as a treat! and as much cofee as you wanted. The little restaurant down into the garden served excellent food at reasonable prices. The garden itself was a touch of magic with morroccan...

Wouldn't return.
from JamesBray
My wife and i have recently returned from a stay at the Buena Vista and all in all we had a great holiday but this wasn't thanks to the hotel. Before we booked we were told that all rooms have balconys and the pics on the web site looked great, including one photo of a large bedroom complete with four poster bed. In reality theres only one nice room as pictured on the web site, the rest leave something to be desired to say the least. We arrived at about 9:30 pm and after lifting our case's up the rather huge flight of steps (just to get...

Nice garden shame about the hotel!
from xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
We have been visiting Santa Eulalia for 10years now and liked it so much that this was our 5th visit in that time. So suffice to say the resort is fantastic (not for clubbers etc) for families and couples. However, the rooms came to be known as cells by the guests. They are VERY basic ,the rooms to the front which may have had a nice view in years gone by (hence the Buena Vista i imagine) look over a very busy road and buildings that resembe Beirut on a grey day. The roads are so busy and noisy.Cars, lorries, motorbykes, binmen and...

Steps everywhere
from LisaFreeman
This small and friendly hotel in Santa Eulaila is very sweet, and is very reasonably priced, however please be warned before you go. There are about 40 large marble steps up to the front entrance of this hotel ( which you can't see on the hotel's website ) as well as large steps all around the hotel and grounds. This is not a hotel for anyone who is elderly or a bit unsteady on their feet. The walk to the sea front is all down hill, and therefore it's all up hill coming back. The pool area is very small and they only have a few sunbeds, but...

Back in time at the Buenavista
from A TripAdvisor Member
Just returned from a very relaxing week in Santa Eulalia, the Buenavista is perfect for unwinding and getting away from it all. As it was early season there seemed to be only half a dozen other guests so we certainly didnt need to leave a towel on the sun beds. The hotel is run by a very friendly spanish family and though the Hotel is very old it is very bright and clean and not dingy at all, there is a musty smell in the bar as they still have an open cave that was used for making olive oil! The rooms are small but very clean and the...

My daughter, Becky (age 24), and I first visited the Buenavista 5 years ago, when we spent 2 weeks there and had a great time. We don't have loads of money, so don't get away on holiday every year, but decided to get together for a girls' week away this year - and... more
